38+1 with dc2. Completely torn between wanting this baby out RIGHT NOW and wanting to wait at least until 1 September. Uncomfortable, hot, tired, can't sleep properly, baby's movements now all uncomfortable at best and physically painful at worst.

And my in laws arrive for that weekend later today. They have been asked not to arrive before 5pm so that I have the day to use as I please without waiting in for them; I would put money on them ringing the bell hours earlier while I'm trying to nap Angry

Nearly 40 weeks and I'm booked in for a sweep tomorrow. Midwife is very keen to get labour going and I'm pissed off by her impatience. I'm ready for the baby to come but don't see the need to rush things!

teabags you've just reminded meI went over by 9 days last time and on the last day before labour started I tried literally everything...
Oil of evening primrose up the fanjo, shagging Blush, pineapples, curry, raspberry leaf tea and went on a trampoline!
Clearly one of these worked Grin
Dh videoed the trampoline and indeed there may have been a bladder battle at the end!

38 weeks here, fed up of the heat and not being able to sleep properly. I've been on mat leave for the last week but don't feel like I've relaxed much - I'm trying to organise a last minute spa day for the weekend but everywhere is booked up/mega-expensive.

I have a pregnancy massage booked on Wednesday with a gift voucher I was given a few months ago, so I'd like to be able to get that done, after that he can come as soon as he feels ready!

38+3 today and totally fed up. Section booked for September 1st (Thursday). Should have been Tuesday at 39 weeks but we wanted September so baby will be oldest in class instead of youngest. Now I just wish it were on Tuesday and don't care anymore! On the plus side my just turned 6 year old is a little prince so I do have it easy.

Keep thinking I'll start on Tuesday or Wednesday and miss September by a day or two, just my kind of luck!

Oh yes and the insomnia Angry. I had a bad night last night and now I'm up after another bad night PIL being here may have contributed to my inability to relax

We've got a wedding to go to today and I'm so. Very. Tired.

Another terrible night here too. Doesn't help I was woken up at 01.45 by some people a couple of streets down screaming and shouting for half an hour, I then couldn't get back to sleep. After finally falling asleep I was woken up at 04.30 cos of the shits again Angry then go back to sleep about 5 to be woken by the 3 year old at 06.30!

I love weddings so am slightly jealous, eat lots of lovely food and probably cry lots due to hormones.

41+1 here and very fed up. Swear this baby is holding out for September, though I don't care so much, just want him out now!

My sleeping would be greatly helped is DS (4) would go back to sleeping though the night!
He's recently decided that EVERYTHING is scary, the dark, the pictures on his wall, his sheets, the curtain... Is very wearing 3 time plus per night!
Am praying it's the heat and once it cools down he'll go back the way he was before!

38+4 and have a section booked for 1st September (Thursday) and feeling terrible, caught a horrible chest infection from family and am coughing up green stuff - sorry tmi. It's getting worse not better and am just lying in bed feeling very sorry for myself Confused
I'm scared I'll give this to baby when she arrives, family have all had it for well over 2 weeks so far and still not getting better, I've only had it for 3 days. The thought of all this coughing with a slice through the middle is making me wince Shock

I'm right here with you all at the pity party

Oh dear vap0 feel better soon. I'm not very knowledgeable about c sections but can they postpone by a few days to give you a chance to recover ? I know it must depend on the reason for the c section though so sorry if totally stupid question! I really feel for you Flowers

I am hot and grumpy this evening and don't know what to have for dinner (I've started a thread for inspiration!) . I can feel myself getting very cross because I'm hungry!

The baby feels like it's dropped very low.

Thanks for the well wishes, I can't see this going away too quick Hmm

We have decided on a take away, a nice hot curry may help clear my sinuses crossing fingers that spicy food and labour is not true

Hello, can I join too please?!

39+1 today, due 3rd September. Struggling with the heat, spd and a dodgy back. Can only walk at the speed of a snail. Up every hour or so in the night for a wee. Have feet so swollen that I only have 1 pair of shoes that fit and walking is painful. Bump is too big and low for even maternity clothes to fit. Don't want to eat, apart from junk and snacks. Have carpal tunnel in both hands. Baby has very sharp elbows or knees, and his or her head is far too close to my bladder! Feeling fed up but want baby to hold on until September, can't wait to meet him or her!

DS is 5 and was 12 days late (I was induced) so I think this one will be late as well. I tried everything to get DS moving but nothing worked. I've tried nothing yet this time, although might try a bit of bouncing on my ball tonight.

Grin

Ooh can I join? 38+6 today and desperate to hang on until 1st September for the academic year thing as DD (2) is a July baby and as teachers we worry about these things!

As others have mentioned baby's movements now hurt, I've had the beginnings of a migraine today and I'm too hot/can't sleep. DD was born at 39+4 which would take me up to this coming Friday. Please God.

My dh has come down with a bug he is all achey and queasy and hot. Sad not good timing! I need him to be on top form for helping me and also for if I go into labour! Now I'm feeling nervous...

Really hoping baby dilly is not going to break with tradition and come early! (36+1)
I NEED to do my last week at work... If I don't finish what needs doing then there won't be a job to come back to!

Just so you know. If any of you give birth over the next 24 hours I will not be pleased for you. I will fucking hate you forever and keep an eye out for your username and curse you whenever I spot you on these boards for as long as we both use MN. Angry

I'm hot, achey, cross, uncomfortable, short tempered, teary, shouty and headachey today. My DH said 'oh maybe it's hormonal, do you think the baby is on the way". I snarled at him and he retreated away to another room. I can't take another potential 20 odd days of feeling like this (due 10th). I'm getting messages left right and centre from friends, family and colleagues all just asking 'no baby yet?'. Fuck. Off.

I promise I'm actually nice the rest of the time. Blush

Urgh.... DS woke me up an hour ago because his feet has come out of his covers... Now the whole house is asleep and I'm not!

designed I think the first part was definitely tongue in cheek and the second part I can definitely remember well from before....
All of the "any news?" texts made me murderous!
Basically you've either not been told because there's nothing to tell, or there's a very good reason! People don't tend to keep births a secret!!

I have my planned c section on Wednesday at 39wks and currently have all kinds of illnesses - cough, sore Throat and now an eye infection! 😡 Don't Feel ready for my section with all this going on. I also have a very active toddler, who is very clingy to me at the moment and a hubby who is working his wee socks off trying to get our new house ready to move into Asap, so not getting a minutes peace.
