Thanks guys. I think I'm just clutching at straws trying to figure out when my bloody morning sickness is going to end! As if dates will make a difference...it's going to end when it's going to end and no amount of worrying is going to help!

Think I might try the acupuncture route...

greedyforbabies · 09/02/2007 12:19

oh my god! i have just recieved loads of maternity clothes that i ordered yesterday! i dont know what got into me yesterday! i blame the snow, and my patients not turning up and me having too much time to surf the internet!
i feel a bit silly now having bought so much stuff when i am only 6 wks pg!!!!! i am definately thinking positive now though! if something does go wrong with this pg i will just have to wear them next time oi get pg!!!

Chooster · 09/02/2007 14:06

Hi all - Yeaaahhh, movements babymad!!! Thats great - Sorry about the sickness though. At least you are back to feeling pregnant.

Mmm, thats the same as me Greedy although I was a bit at what I'd chosen as maternity clothes rather than the quantity. I got this pink mat top with beads on (yes it is as minging as it sounds) because it was reduced to £9.99. Will scoot off and have a look at your photo in a bit...

Sorry for MS Kitkat at least your pregnancy is moving along. I know everyone is different but with my pregnancies I've reached a point between 12-13 weeks and my MS just seems to vanish over 2 or 3 days. I hope its the same for you.

Well, I am on cloud 9 today!!!! I got a voice mail yesterday evening from the midwife who said my triple test results had come back fine!!! Low risk for everything (Down's, Edwards and Spina Bifida). I am just over the moom as I'd almost convinced myself there was a problem. When I got the message I said to my DH "It looks like we are really having this baby!". The relief I feel today just showed me how worried and tense I was. So one more scan on the 21st and thats me done and in the clear - Yiiippppeeeee

Sorry for all those who still have some worries. I think this is a lucky thread though and good things will happen for us all

i have just read lissies news in the pg section. she came on this thread briefly didn't she? reading things like that makes everything seem a bit more fragile. (she had an ectopic and had to have one of her tubes removed). poor thing, i really feel for her

Just seen Lissie's news. That is unbelievably sad. Just when she was starting to feel a bit positive about things. I was following her threads on and off - she has had SUCH a rollercoaster poor thing.

On a lighter note - Chooster - that is FANTASTIC news about your results - have done a couple of laps of honour round the living room on your behalf, just gotta get that last scan out the way and you can finally start to enjoy this pregnancy! You're about 2 weeks behind me aren't you? I've been feeling some pretty definite movements for the last week or so, so hopefully you will too soon. PMSL about your minging pink top!

Firsty - sorry to hear you feel a bit glum and bored. Don't beat yourself up about it, go with the flow - get that crappy telly on, take plenty of naps and look after yourself. Is your back still giving you lots of grief? And I seem to remember you mentioning something about your heart, but I can't remember what that was, sorry, can you refresh my (sieve-like) memory?

Greedy - how are you doing? Love your photo!!!!! How are those clothes? Where did you order from, just out of curiosity?

All is well in the Bodkin household. DP is now taking his turn at the Sunday lie-in (I got the 7 -8am shift ) and DD is playing charmingly with her dolls house. I had a lucky escape from the in-laws this weekend - DP's sister, kids and mother were due to descend on us (it's their half term next week, though not ours) and frankly, I jsut wasn't up to the job. luckily they decided the weather was too cold and rubbish, so have called off until Easter.

So now we have my sister and her family and some other friends coming over for a boozy (well, not me) sunday lunch. Much more fun

fettle · 11/02/2007 18:20

Greedy - just looked at your photo -PMSL!!!

Must put DD to bed now!!

speak later

hope everyone is doing ok!

x

Hi ladies, hope you all had a good weekend
Firststar, do hope your back dosnt get any worse thorught the pregnacy, poor you, i remember that the last few weeks are bad enough without having extra problems like that!!

I was felling really well most of last week ( i was 12 weeks on sat ) but yesterday and today i feel so sick again, i thought when it was gone it was gone but no, not for me it seems!

i have my 12 weeks NHS scan today, wasnt going to go as i have been having private ones but as my Dh said im always worring and may aswell have one just for extra reasurrance, he also stated that as we wanted a homebirth we would be saving them money in the end not to sure how he works that out but hey, im goingto go and have the scan!

Hope everyone else is well x

Morning all.

Good grief Firsty, you have got a lot on your plate! But I do like your theory about troubled pg, easy baby. I think there is more than a grain of truth in that. With my first Pg, I had a very easy time (barely knew I was preggers, didn't hardly show until 7 months, easy birth etc.) but God what a fractious baby she was! My theory is that because I was able to be so active during the pg, she was used to constant movement. Now you, as you will have to spend much of this pg laid up and resting, will have the most placid and relaxed baby EVER! Lets hope so anyway. I'm being fairly frantic this pg (loads of work on) so am up for another screamer methinks!

Hope the scan goes well today Pinkranger. I'm hoping to have a homebirth too.

Hi to everyone else, Fettle, KitKat, Greedy, MrsMcJ, Conker, Chooster, Babymad etc etc. (sorry if I've missed anyone)

MrsMcJnr · 12/02/2007 11:23

Hello all was at a conference on Friday and away for the weekend visting my little sister so I am really behind on the gossip.

How awful for Lissie everyone's worst fear isn't it? must find out more poor, poor thing.

Chooster - so very pleased for you hon, hope you can start enjoying your pregnancy now

We told my little sis our news, well, DH did he told her "I've knocked your sister up" she looked more shocked than excited, he must work on his delivery!

We also ventured into Mothercare (figured it was safer to go in a place where no one knows us!) got 3 bras for £15 (big sale) so that was good.

Feeling crappy today and unable to concentrate on work (again!).

BabyMadwithBump · 12/02/2007 12:05

Morning all,
Going to MW tomorrow for my 16th week app (but will be 15+4) DC off school so no early morning runs for me thank god.
My DS#1 PG was a dream, I had a bump from 3 months like this LO and great all the way though no problems what so ever, quick birth 3hours 45mins, dream baby but god when hit 2yrs, he still has his moments now and he's 7yrs. DS#2 BAD MS till 16 weeks ended up in hospital 4 times, didn't really show I don't think, I lost alot of weight too, wasn't till I was 5 months that I started gaining any, dream this rest of the way birth was quick again 3hours 15mins,nightmare baby, feed ever 3 hours only had 1 hours sleep in between feeds this was even at night right till he was 7 months old, I had PND with him too but once he hit 7 months he was a dream still is I have no trouble from him what so ever not even at school, teachers say that they wish they had 30 of him, but other DS their glad they only have the one! Bless!
So to sum it up:
DS#1, great PG, great baby, but has his moments as a child, LET SAY!
DS#2 nightmare PG, nightmare baby, but no trouble what so ever as a child!
DS#1 as light brown hair (getting darker), green eyes and olive skin, DS#2 has blond hair and blue eyes and very pale skined!
I don't really know what this LO is going to be like, , I hope it's not PND pills at the ready!
babymadxx

mrs mc - my sister (also a mner - purplerabbit) is due a week after me. At christmas when we were all up at our parents, my dh said to my brother - i'm going to be a dad, purplerabbit's pregnant (although obviously with her real life name). My poor brother just didnt know what to say and even once we explained properly, he still seemed confused for a good few mins.
