39 weeks... and I'm done! Anyone else due soon and fed up? Rants welcome

I can't sleep, I can't walk, I'm subsisting on a diet of bread and Gaviscon, I don't own a single item of clothing I feel comfortable in - absolutely nothing fits me. And if one more person asks me when the 'twins' are due, I'm going to punch them (I feel like screaming: THERE IS JUST ONE IN THERE, THIS IS WHAT BEING 9-MONTHS PREGNANT LOOKS LIKE!)

Everyone else I know who is pregnant seems to be sailing through the experience with smug looks and serene smiles and can't seem to understand what on earth I'm complaining about. There must be some more fed-up pregnant women out there? Anyone fancy joining in with my rant?

Aww congrats wishful I've got a Henry and he is a delight!
Lilli how exciting !!! You get to meet bubs tomorrow!!!

mrsleomcgary · 09/12/2015 21:21

No change here, didnt phone the midwife, thought i would give it an hour wearing a pad to see what happened. Nothing happened. I've came to the conclusion I just peed myself,as dh says at least I was in the shower at the time!

Good luck for tomorrow Lilli!

jamtartandcustard · 09/12/2015 21:50

Ah good luck lilli. How exciting knowing you are going to meet your baby soon.
Nothing to report here. Dh has been nesting. He came home from work as started scrubbing the kitchen floor and bathroom. I'm not sure he's ever cleaned the bathroom. Saves me a job Grin
I read on the NHS website if your not sure about your waters, lie down for half hour and when you get up there should be another gush. If not assume waters are intact. How are you meant to know if your waters are just trickling away though?

strawberryandaflake · 10/12/2015 01:29

Can't sleep! Have to call in at 8 and find out what time they want me in for the induction.

I wasn't sure how you'd know either. I didn't even know there are two types of waters to go, that wasn't in my baby book or at the classes Confused

justanothermummy2b · 10/12/2015 02:32

Good luck for the inductions today! Looks like we'll have quite a few babies by the end of the day (fingers crossed!)
My waters went earlier this evening and we are finally getting regular contractions! Here's hoping I don't stop progressing like I did with DS...
Thinking of the rest of you ladies xx

And you strawberry, not long now till you meet your boys!
I cannot go into labour today. Well not until 2pm anyway as its my sons last ever nativity play (sob) and I don't want to miss it! Not that I'm likely to anyway but still, legs firmly crossed here

strawberryandaflake · 10/12/2015 08:05

Ooh good luck, Just! I've got to be there in an hour. OH has just got in the shower...

Aah Jam... You could be a real live Mary on stage! Like in the Vicar of Dibley WinkX

ChubbyMummy12 · 10/12/2015 08:45

tinyme135 · 10/12/2015 08:47

just want to say well done everyone to who'd had their LO's and good luck with everyone who's having an induction today. I still have a fee weeks to go so hearing all these stories is making me want my LO more haha.

I was waiting for my OH to come out the barbers yesterday and I have every Tom dick and harry ask me if I'm having a Christmas baby. to which I replied "no I want my Christmas dinner first" all they could do was laugh. they must have thought I was going crazy xD ....Maybe I am...

Lillylou1991 · 10/12/2015 09:16

So exciting it all seems to be happening for us now!
Good luck straw! I had to call at 8 too and im booked in for 11am today. Currently running a bath to try and relax a bit, couldnt sleep and kept DH up with my constant tossing and turning... hes still in bed bless him.

Baby Henry is a sleepy boy having to wake him for feeds but he's doing well.
Hope everyone is waiting too long :)

Lillylou1991 · 10/12/2015 12:46

Hope all is going well ladies!
No need for pesseries! Lovely midwife broke waters straight away now just waiting for contractions to pick up. She says im about 3cm which im chuffed about.
Got DH bopping along subconsiously to little guys heart rate while doing his sodoku. Hopefully gonna be allowed to go for a walk soon :D

strawberryandaflake · 10/12/2015 13:50

Well done Lilly!

I am bored. One of my bubs wouldn't stay still then had hiccups so they couldn't get a trace. Had first pessary and just biding my time. This is going to take a while...

jamtartandcustard · 10/12/2015 22:37

How's it going? Any babies yet?

Lillylou1991 · 11/12/2015 00:12

They broke my waters at 12.30... i had my darling little boy Harvey in my arms at 5.55!! 8 pound long boy with stupidly big feet like his DH. No intervention past breaking my waters and i did it all just on gas and air and im utterly in love and really should be resting but just cant stop looking at him!!! Having to stay overnight because he wont latch onto breast but they say thats normal and not to panic

39 weeks... and I'm done! Anyone else due soon and fed up? Rants welcome

Hi ladies! Congratulations Lilly what a beautiful bub 😍
Our beautiful baby girl was born at 10.15pm after a pretty horrendous 25-hour labour. But we're both doing really well and DH and I are utterly smitten! Grin

mrsleomcgary · 11/12/2015 10:18

Congratulations both of you - beautiful boy you have there lily!

Daffodil90 · 11/12/2015 12:40

Wow - I'm so glad it's not just me that gets annoyed by 'are you in labour yet', 'can't you just let her out', 'I bet you're excited' and 'any news yet' messages every freaking five minutes!

I had a MW appt on due date (I'm now 40+2) to do a sweep but MW couldn't do it - MIL is all about asking for every frigging detail - no I'm not going to discuss my vagina with you, thanks! Can't just accept that I've told her everything is fine (and it is, no problems at all) she then has to try go around me to DH to ask. He gave her exactly the same response I did!

Very much looking forward to getting the ball rolling but no signs as of yet (just very uncomfortable, heartburny, achy, constipated joyous things!) fingers crossed it happens before I go insane! Feels good to get that off my chest though!

Good luck with all the babies waiting on this thread - hope to join you soon!

strawberryandaflake · 11/12/2015 23:15

Two beautiful boys born early this morning. Had an epidural and now need a blood transfusion but so worth it. We're both in love with them, hopefully will be let out of hospital tomorrow if I don't have any more blackouts. Good luck all still waiting! Grin
