Errr, yes, I may have done a few tests! I had 4 FRERs in the cupboard and 15 ICs when I got my bfp and I now have 0 FRERs and 3 ICs left! It was only after the reassurance scan last week that I stopped testing! I know it doesn't really tell you anything but I was a big obsessed so I totally get what you mean. Hope you get over the wobble and feel a bit better soon.

I had a massive cry at the booking appt with the mw this morning. It was only three months ago that I was there booking in for the one I lost. Just hope I get to the 12 week scan this time.

BumbleBee0 · 10/08/2015 18:09

Yes to testing baby, think I did a similar amount as tft! Blush And only stopped just before my first scan too! Smile

I just did another one just now much darker line so feeling a bit better hoping that I stop wobbling soon. Glad it's not just me though maybe I am finding it harder this time because dd is only 6 months and mc 3 months ago it's allot in 6 months

dobbythedoggy · 10/08/2015 18:43

baby I took loads, up until I had first scan at epau. I'm also being really funny about throwing them away. Just can't bring myself to do it, so have the darkening rainbow of tests I took, about three weeks worth, sat on the top of the bathroom cabinat. Luckily it was mostly amazon cheepos but did buy a couple from super drug and and few clear blue.

I've got an appointment for dating scan on friday. One of the hospital midwives rang up to make it this morning. Initially really excited but stupidly worry about if nerves will set in. Worried about feeling worried for goodness sake! Actually quite greatful it so soon, was expecting at least another weeks wait. Will be nice to know that everything is still ok at the moment. Also looking forward to having an offical due date.

I have a folder in the media section of my phone which has pictures of my first 2 tests and scans at 7, 12 and 16 weeks. It's lovely to look through them and think that that feint line is now growing into my daughter Smile

dobbythedoggy · 10/08/2015 19:20

So glad I'm not the only one! Dh thinks I'm slightly mad by refusing to bin them. I had no quarms about doing so when I tested with dd. We took a photo of one of the test to send to a very close friend over seas as an announcement but that was it.

MsGlitterJunkie · 10/08/2015 20:09

Yep, I'm another one whose kept my tests, I did two clearblue ones and yep, took pictures of the results too. Then when I saw my GP last week they made me do another one and it was positive and nice strong line so I'm definitely pregnant! Sounds a bit daft but seems we all do it Grin

Thanks bythesea. Glad your antenatal class went well, you're on the final stretch now!

Nousername2015 · 10/08/2015 20:19

tft I did the exact same thing, shut the door, sat down and instantly burst into tears. Luckily the midwife remembered me so understood. Bit worried about doing the same this week.

Ladies further along, did the midwife listen for a hb at your 16 week appointment? I have mine on weds but if she either doesn't do it, or worse can't find it, then I'm going to freak out. Just want a sign that everythings ok, no movements yet, but seem to have developed a phobia of all things medical, hence not had any private scans.

melonface · 10/08/2015 20:26

I've been told they do in my area but not everywhere! my 16 week appointment is on Wednesday too, really hope they haven't changed their minds since my friends had their babies, I'll be really disappointed if I don't get to hear it!

Metalhead · 10/08/2015 20:48

She did at mine nouser, though warned me that she might not be able to find it (she did).

I've also kept pics of all my BFPs!

Nousername2015 · 10/08/2015 20:55

metal did she say if she would feel for movements or send you for a scan or a trace if she couldn't find anything? I'm desperate to hear it but the thought of her not finding it and then waiting for the next scan almost makes me want to ask her not to try.

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 10/08/2015 21:49

In my area nouser they don't listen to the hb at 16 weeks unless you ask them to, and that is under the understanding that they may not be able to find it at that stage, and they wouldn't referre onto the hospital for a scan if that was the case. I did get to hear my beans heartbeat, but if I didn't hear it I would have been crippled with worry! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 10/08/2015 23:02

Nouser the midwife didn't listen to baby's heartbeat at 16 weeks. They don't do it in my area.

Pandapops8 · 11/08/2015 04:02

Oh happy she is absolutely beautiful!

I tend to keep a bit of a back seat but I do like to read and keep up to date with things on here, it's lovely that everyone is so supportive and have been or are going through the same things

We've got our booking in appt this Friday, going to ask for an early scan but think we might have to go private as we want one before we go on holiday (26th) so should be 8 weeks, hopefully to put our minds at rest - I just wish I knew what was going on in there!!

brickiemum2 · 11/08/2015 06:30

Congratulations to happy she's gorgeous Grin
Welcome to all the new ladies and fingers crossed for plain sailing.
I can't remember who commented on movements at 18/19 weeks but I'm at the same stage and go through days of feeling lots of movement then days of feeling basically none. My placenta is at the front (anterior) and I think this can be a contributory factor. I was the same with my dd and remember stressing about it.
My ( o )( o )'s have sprung into action this week! Get a really milky smell when I take my bra off at the end of the day (or my sleep bra off in the morning) and I've been feeling the beginnings of let down like tingles now and again, particularly when looking at pictures of babies. Hopefully I'll be able to collect colostrum when it does start leaking.

Metalhead · 11/08/2015 07:36

No nouser, you wouldn't get referred for a scan if they can't find a hb with the Doppler at 16 weeks.

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 08:13

I threw away my 3 lightest IC tests last night, still have 3 showing the lines getting darker, did one last night so not fmu and got my darkest line yet. Threw away my CB as the pregnancy line has disappeared but got my 2 frers from 9dpo and Saturday. Plus my 2 tests from DS pregnancy (he is now nearly 7) and I have DS’s clip and tiny bit of umbilical cord in his memory box.

Babytinx11 · 11/08/2015 20:39

So glad it's not just me I currently have a collection of tests and pictures of tests saw the doctor today will have my booking app in 2/3 weeks scary stuff

Nousername2015 · 12/08/2015 12:48

After all the stressing (again) heard heartbeat as soon as she got the doppler on me this morning. Feel like a right idiot.

Only threw my pg tests away after the 12 weeks scan! You couldn't even see the lines on them any more anyway.

Mummyofonesofar · 12/08/2015 12:52

Just spoke to my midwife centre and they have agreed to measure my hCG next week when I will be 7+2 and 7+4 by their dates and 6+5 and 7 exactly by my dates. I want to know it is going up before my booking in appt and scan in 2 weeks time. If it isn't I can have investigations before my holiday is upon me at 8weeks. They midwife had never heard of it and said she cannot tell me what they mean but I know I can speak to the main hospital for interpretation if needed.

BingumyThob · 12/08/2015 13:20

I only took the one test, and chucked it straight in the bin (although I admit I did fish it out a couple of times just to make sure I hadn't imagined it). Is that weird? I found the testing bit quite stressful, couldn't bring myself to go through it more than once.

I have the most horrendous sore throat today, and am worried I might be coming down with something. Can colds/flu have an affect on early pregnancy? I'm such a bag of nerves right now. Scan tomorrow morning and every minute feels like an hour right now.

I hope all you ladies are having good days today.

dobbythedoggy · 12/08/2015 18:01

bing I was really ill when first pregnant with dd. On top of morning sickness I had about a week where I had a fever and felt like death. I worried so much! I was in such a state dh took me to see the gp who was very reassuring. Told me it wasn't going to hurt the baby, signed me off and told me to take paracetemol. Your imune system is lower in pregnancy to you tend to feel worse when you are well. Hope your aren't coming down with anything.

BingumyThob · 12/08/2015 18:29

Thanks dobby, that's so reassuring to hear you say that! I was really starting to panic that this might harm the baby!
I'm feeling worse by the minute, so pretty sure I am coming down with something. Think I might have a temperature, I hope it's not flu! Can't wait for DH to get home and look after me, I can't actually move from the sofa right now. Ugh, I was struggling enough with the morning sickness/exhaustion, this really sucks!
I can take paracetamol, right?
