Marking my place...Smile
Had a good scan today too, saw and heard the hb and the little one even wriggled about! Measured 4 days ahead at 10+1.

It seems I have a corpus luteum cyst, although it's not large enough to cause any problems. Anyone else had one of these?

Brummiegirl15 · 30/07/2015 18:18

Marking my place.

Bumble I had that too. It just means where you ovulated is all. At least that's why I was told.

I've thought sod it and bought clothes. I was so uncomfortable I couldn't last much longer.

Had to get jeans though from Next as too short for anywhere else.

Ordered a dress and couple of tops from ASOS.

Saw a really nice dress at Seraphine online today but it was £60!!!!

Marchgirl · 30/07/2015 18:29

I had a 6cm clc with mc3 bumble. It was bloody uncomfortable! Could explain any cramping sensations you have had, but they don't normally cause any issues.

Exciting to be buying clothes brummie Grin. I'm already struggling with trousers because of the bloat. Was in maternity ones from 11 weeks with dd though so i can't imagine it's going to be any better second time round

Nousername2015 · 30/07/2015 18:45

Lovely scan news march, mrsd and bumble!
Finally had to embrace maternity wear at 15 weeks. I got my work trousers and jeans from h+m, got my normal size in both and they fit really well although the bumps bands are a bit big for my mini bump. Means there's room to grow! Leg wise I'm 5ft5 with short legs and both trousers are fine on me so would recommend.

Thepurplegiraffe · 30/07/2015 19:21

Shepard just wanted to say I haven't had a emcs but I have had 2 elcs for breech and they have both been very calm experiences. If it comes to it, it's not an awful option and at least you get to plan childcare Smile. Enjoy maternity leave!

BumbleBee0 · 30/07/2015 19:26

I've been wearing my maternity jeans for the past week (bought them for mc1 Sad). They've been hidden away ever since as it was too painful to see them (even though it's only cloth!) and wasn't sure if I would be too sad to ever wear them again but it felt ok putting them on, quite normal. And today I've bought another pair, no chance of getting in normal jeans now! I look about 4mths, maybe more!! Definitely down to the progesterone and not lots of crisps, chocolate and cake! Blush

Brummiegirl15 · 30/07/2015 19:31

Bumble I reckon the progesterone absolutely plays a part in how bloated you are.

I feel huge!!!!

melonface · 30/07/2015 19:39

I need to stay away from seraphine it's dangerous! I've got a wedding in October and have bookmarked a lovely dress but it's £99 Blush Damn you Kate Middleton!

driftingclouds · 30/07/2015 20:22

Yay for shiny new thread! Smile

Lovely news for those having positive scans-must be amazing to see your little ones!

I am also feeling very bloated and all clothes are really tight! As soon as I get home from work I'm in my jogging bottoms/pjs! Unfortunately I got rid of a lot of my maternity clothes after DS - whoops. Will just manage until after at least my 12 week scan. I have asked my sister if I can borrow some of her clothes though!

Mamma's and papas do some nice maternity clothes if I remember right?! can be expensive though but their sales are good

driftingclouds · 30/07/2015 20:24

Ooh in fact they have a sale on right now-up to 75% off! Here is a link
www.mamasandpapas.com/range/maternity-up-to-75-off/11945/

Wish I was further along-daren't risk buying anything just yet!

WombOfOnesOwn · 30/07/2015 20:28

Had the Panorama test done today. Waiting a week for the results will be nervewracking! Anyone else here doing NIPT?

dobbythedoggy · 30/07/2015 21:29

Booked in with midwife today. She was very positive about my chances of being able to go for a vbac. Same one I had with dd, which is good as I know she's fantastic. Strangly feel a lot more relaxed, I think because I know the midwives at out surgery are great. Offically just as phone call away now if I have any worries, returned every call quickly when I was pregnant with dd.

Pandapops8 · 30/07/2015 22:36

Hi all - marking my place on here!
1 mmc in May, now pregnant again 4 weeks, nervous but still excited. I look and feel so bloated though a right proper belly like I'm 4 or 5 months, and super tired but no sickness which is good.
I think when we have our hospital booking in appt, we want to ask for an early scan if possible, we just want to know its healthy. Do you know if this is possible or do I need to book a private scan? We just want to get through the next couple of months x

Boysclothes · 30/07/2015 23:36

Hi all, lovely to see some great scan news! The reassurance from my scan has faded after 48 hours so I've booked a private one in 2 weeks. Keep worrying the hb wasn't the right speed, sonog couldn't count it so couldn't tell me. And I can't seem to stay away from mc stories online where people see the hb and then lose the baby.

Having said that, I did read a journal article which said if you can see sac, yolk and hb between 6+3 and 7+1 then you have a 96% chance of taking home a live baby, even if you have miscarried before.

This baby is definitely destroying my bowels, I am so bloated and constipated. I'm not eating much veg though so no doubt that is not helping, just don't fancy it.

cavamonster · 31/07/2015 04:50

Hi panda, congratulations! I think it depends from hospital to hospital re scans, i was referred straight to ePu for a scan after my first miscarriage without asking but I'd suggest you want to err on the side of caution and be prepared to push for it although lots of people on here have went gro a private to ease their minds. By 8 weeks you should definitely see a heartbeat and is generally a popular time to get one.

First week at home of mat leave, and it's been a busy one! I had a very embarrassing episode on Wednesday night where I ended up at the hospital for monitoring following noticing my pee in the bowl looked pink, I was nearly being kept overnight before the question "have you eaten beetroot was asked" - which it had. You have been warned ladies it's not just your fingers it dyes Grin.

When in the hospital though they had thought the baby wasn't breech and also engaged so I'm off to my consultants appointment today and going to demand a scan as want to be sure we know for sure how the baby is lying.

Lastly on my me me me post, I started NCT classes last night. The group were all lovely and the class was really helpful to start asking some of those questions that as a ftm you just don't know.

Given the name of the thread, it is poignant that even now I was still worried going to the class and being all "normal" pregnant that I was somehow jinxing things, it was the same on Wednesday as I had just received all my friends newborn clothes when I had the beetroot incident - unfortunately it's just the minefield being pregnant after mc brings!

northdownmummy · 31/07/2015 07:31

Oh cava you've made me chuckle this morning, sounds just the sort of thing I would do

Marking my place Smile

Brummiegirl15 · 31/07/2015 10:14

Can I ask, can anyone tell me when I need to start looking at booking nct classes?

cloudjumper · 31/07/2015 10:20

brummie I think I booked them soon after the 20-week scan last time... They have a search function on their website, where you can look at classes suitable for your EDD, and depending on how far in advance you look, you might (or might not) be able to book a place. It depends on where you are or what type of course you want to do (weekend ones or the evening ones) how busy/booked up they get.
But I would definitely recommend them, not only for the content, but for the networking/meeting people. We are still friends with the couples we met in ours and go on holiday together 4 years on.

BingumyThob · 31/07/2015 17:21

Hi.
Is it ok if I join? I'm not sure I belong here as I have not technically had a miscarriage; I had an ectopic pregnancy in February and ended up having emergency surgery to remove one of my Fallopian tubes. They didn't diagnose it for a couple of weeks after I started bleeding and it was such a scary time, by the time they took it seriously my tube had ruptured and I could have died.
Now I'm pregnant again and really terrified, especially as I have been experiencing quite a lot of pain over the last couple of weeks. Think I'm about 5 and a half weeks but not sure due to erratic cycles since my op. I have a scan booked for Monday morning when I should be 6 weeks, and am so nervous about what I might see (or not see, I'm quite worried I might not be as far along as I think and won't see anything at all, not sure I can take the anxiety of waiting another week to find out if it's in the right place!). DH is wonderful but not coping too well with my anxiety. I could really use some support from people who understand how scary it is to be pregnant and not sure what is going on inside your body, and how hard it is to live with the fear of losing another much-wanted baby.

MyNameIsSuz · 31/07/2015 17:43

Hi Bingumy, welcome! That sounds really scary what you went through, no wonder you're anxious. I think even if you're less than six weeks you should still see a sac at least, so you'll know it's where it should be even if it's too early to see a heartbeat. Fingers crossed for you

Great news Harry!

Bing, one of my losses was an ectopic.... They should def be able to see a sac at least, and if they can't they will do HCG blood tests.

Nousername2015 · 31/07/2015 21:35

Hi bingumy I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but congratulations on the new pregnancy. Wishing you a boring 8 months!

cava You must have been so scared but so pleased it was only beetroot! Your story did make me smile.
Lovely scan news harry

brummie I've just taken the leap and booked ours, I'm 15 weeks. There isn't a lot of essentials availability where I am so I didn't want to lose out on a spot and have to go for signature. Did get the horrible 'have I jinxed it' feeling after booking though.
