Continuing the thread for ladies who are pregnant after MC

That sounds rough Bing, poor you. Go to bed!!! It really sucks being ill when all you can take is paracetamol, steam is good for congestion so maybe a nice warm bath?

Gr33dyeggs · 12/08/2015 18:36

Congrats happy! Lovely to hear of the safe arrival of your bundle Smile

I've just looked at the stats - I can't believe I'm in the top 10 due ladies. Eek.

Nousername2015 · 12/08/2015 18:42

Look after yourself bing, make sure you dose upon plenty of honey and lemon to help soothe your throat.

BingumyThob · 12/08/2015 19:03

Thanks suz and nouser.
I have the bath running, am sipping some honey and lemon, and hubby has just got home and is about to put some dinner on so I can try and eat something before getting a very early night! I do have a temperature, and we don't have any paracetamol so might be a long night :-(

Tftpoo · 12/08/2015 19:20

Sorry to hear you're not well bing. Look after yourself and get DH to look after you too!

cloudjumper · 12/08/2015 20:23

Bing - send your DH to the petrol station/supermarket to get you some paracetamol! No point suffering more than you have to.

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2015 21:08

Pants night crampy kidney pain as well and dh is out so I am home alone with dd and ds only saving grace is dd is sleeping

cavamonster · 13/08/2015 03:33

bing my RMC consultant told me the exact same as dobby's. He said the baby takes all the goodness leaving you with very little to battle of the germs for yourself. He told me to use the opportunity to lie with feet and recover. Hope you feel better soon.

Fab you got to head the hb nouser such a lovely moment.

Hope the pain eased off baby I had so much cramp at first, it's just something else to set your mind into overdrive about.

brickie you are actually very lucky if your feeling a lot of movement at that stage with an anterior - most of us with it on here were much later. Even now at 37 weeks I still feel very little in comparison to others.

Very little news here, pregnancy is definitely getting harder physically as the weeks go on, starting to really struggle with walking any real distance but on the plus side it means that I've always an excuse handy for stopping for coffee and cake!

Mummyofonesofar · 13/08/2015 08:34

Bing I hope you are feeling a little better today and can pop out and get yourself some paracetomol for the pain. Being porrly is so rubbish, especially when pregnant!

BingumyThob · 13/08/2015 10:15

baby sorry you're in pain, I hope it's eased off a bit this morning.

Thanks for the support everyone, I'm feeling really awful today but have been to the hospital for our scan and saw a heartbeat so that almost makes up for feeling so ill! Measuring about 6+4 so about a week under what we thought, however doctor wasn't worried, he said it is easy to get dates wrong at very early scans and as I have irregular cycles it's not really a surprise.

Going back to bed now!

MsGlitterJunkie · 13/08/2015 10:33

Great news about the scan bing that really must have cheered you up Smile hope you start to feel much better soon.

Sorry to hear you're in pain baby really hope it's started to ease off.

Treaclepie19 · 13/08/2015 14:49

Glad to hear all went well at your scan bing :)

How are those of us due soon doing?
I thought baby was making an early arrival last night, braxton hicks went haywire!

Mummyofonesofar · 13/08/2015 14:55

Glad the scan went well bing

mrsdiddlydoo · 13/08/2015 18:51

bing sorry you still feel ill, but pleased about your scan.

Feeling v pathetic. And lazy! Work seems to destroy me and then all I manage to do is make it to the sofa and veg so I can do it all over again tomorrow. I don't remember it being so exhausting first time round but I'm definitely not as fit as I once was.

Hope everyone's dodged the rain today. It's been miserable weather here!

Metalhead · 14/08/2015 08:33

I feel the same mrsdiddly, constantly exhausted and still in bed by 9pm every night! I even wondered if I might have gestational diabetes, but DH thinks I'm just being paranoid... Either way I have to admit I'm really struggling with this pregnancy, I guess being 5 years older than I was with DD1 does make a big difference.

cavamonster · 14/08/2015 09:13

I have spent all of this pregnancy working then straight to sofa until I finished work at 33 weeks. Thinking about it I've probably been doing more since I finished and that why I am so exhausted!

Treacle that must have been exciting/terrifying, hope your lo settles down for a couple more weeks :-)

Got super organised last night and everything is now ready. Went a did a huge shop which I am now going to spend the next week cooking up our first months meals. DH looked at all the shopping and said "are we expecting a baby or to have to head to the war bunkers!!" Grin I've requested a scan today today to see if baby is still breech, as I've felt a lot of movement lately. Just would like to know for definite if I'll be having the ELCS or not.

Hope everyone has a Good Friday!

Had my first hypnobirthing class yesterday, I was really impressed which surprised me!

Nope im not on the Facebook group, the due in September one? I just never got round to joining but would quite like to.

Treaclepie19 · 14/08/2015 10:16

Oh yes please :) What do you need to add me?
Yeah, these dates creep out when we're not thinking don't they?

She gave us the cd yesterday and went over the whys and hows of it all. Then she did a short practice of relaxation breathing which was really good.
I read the book before going and was a bit sceptical but it was really good.
We're lucky as our hospital provides it and it's only £40! I don't think she will do much that you can't learn from the book though.
We're following the Mongan method.

From what she said as long as you can trigger relaxation that's the main thing to get from it so it sounds like you're on track :)

Thank you :)

cloudjumper · 14/08/2015 11:53

Do we still have a pf after mc Facebook group? Who do I contact about it?

I am 20 weeks today, how did that happen Shock?!?!? Half way! I feel as is I have been pregnant forever. Started to get some movements, which is lovely, but still not regular enough to completely reassure me (but I have to admit that my anxiety is so much better than a few months ago). Scan on Monday!
