Congratulations allthefours lovely news and such a sweet name.

Nousername2015 · 28/09/2015 11:49

Congrats allthefours. It sounds like you've had a rocky ride but so pleased you're both safe and sound. Enjoy!

cloudjumper · 28/09/2015 12:50

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 28/09/2015 15:51

BumbleBee0 · 28/09/2015 18:30

Thanks for updating the list Diddly and March. I can't edit it (because I'm on my phone??) and was going to change my age to 30 and dd to 26 Feb 15. If anyone would mind changing these when they're next editing that would be great thanks, no worries if not tho as they're only small changes.

Congratulations allthefours!! Hope you're home before you know it! Same name as my little boy! Smile Lovely!

It dawned on me today that my 20wk scan is next wk.....NEXT WK!! Can't believe it's got to this stage, feels like a dream. Smile

Hope everyone else is ok!! xxx

Congratulations allthefours on the birth of your lovely baby boy!

fruit congrats on your scan. I have another one Wednesday for the nuchal screening and DP is coming. I'm so excited for him to see them wiggle!

I'm not on the stats which is probably an indication that I haven't been very good at staying up to date on here. I think I posted after my scan last Tuesday but the twins are doing well. I'm 13+3 today. Had a rough weekend, went home from work Thursday not feeling very well at all. Sicky and faint. Am now on cyclizine for nausea but it's making me sleepy so passing out every night as soon as I put DS to bed at 8. Did go back to work yesterday but it's hard going. Can't wait to feel human again. Decided I will stop work at 30 ish weeks which scarily is the middle-end of Jan! I've been told I'll be full term size by 30w so sensible to stop then. Worried that if they stay cooking until March or even make the 2/4 EDD then I won't have a full year at home with them.

dobbythedoggy · 29/09/2015 09:55

My goodness I've been bad at remembering to check in here! 16 week midwife appointment the week before last teamed with feeling movements a few times each day had finally made feel just a little less anxious. Think I have a very wiggly baby this time unlike dd.

Could someone update my stats for me please, post mostly from my phone and forget to do it when I actually go near the computer.
dobbythedoggy 26, DD born November 2012, MC at 5 weeks May 2015, EDD 2nd March 2016.

metal Hope you're starting to feel better after the flu jab. I've had them every year since I was a teen due to asthma and usually feel crap for a few days afterwards and always bruse awfully. Had mine saturday too and for the first time don't feel ill after it and no brusing, to the extent I'm wondering if I dreamed having it.

allthe hope you are home very soon and are recovering well from your section. Love the name!

reebok thinking of you and hope you're coping with the sickness.

fruitlovingmonkey · 29/09/2015 10:56

Thanks mummy and sorry you have been ill. It seems unfair that you only get one mat leave for twins! Good idea to finish early though.
Congrats on the movement dobby

Mummyofonesofar · 29/09/2015 11:27

fruit The idea of preterm labour is very frightening so want to reduce that risk as much as possible. It is unfair, we won't have any more children after this, people that get 3 children through 3 pregnancies get 3 lots of mat leave. But because I have twins in my second pregnancy I get 3 children but with only 2 lots of mat leave. It is really unfair. It is the only law around having two babies at once that treats you like you are having 1 baby. You still get child benefit for two babies like you would if you had them at seperate times - no idea why this anomoly has continued - especially when you are told to finish work earlier due to risks and size but you get less time with your babies Sad

fruitlovingmonkey · 29/09/2015 11:38

Yes, exactly. Maybe you should start a campaign for twin maternity leave!

Mummyofonesofar · 29/09/2015 11:51

TAMBA have already tried - used data to show change is needed they put a paper forward in March 2013 - nothing has changed

pizzakat · 29/09/2015 18:39

Hi everyone, lost track of you all a couple of threads ago and only just caught up, wow Ive missed out on a lot! Can't believe how close I am to top of stats list now Shock

Congrats treacle and allthefours on your new arrivals Flowers

northdownmummy · 30/09/2015 09:34

I'm up at the hospital today for some more tests after they diagnosed slow growth last week. Been awake since 4 with loads of wriggling so that's helping keep my stress levels down.
I'm going to put my hospital bag in the car just in case, on the logic that if I have it I won't need it. Been doing far too much googling and seems likely I'll be induced early if growth stays this slow or drops further. Given that I'm now 36 weeks it's not terrible, just not what I wanted

OP posts:
Nousername2015 · 30/09/2015 09:41

Good luck northdown, fingers crossed you won't need that bag.

24 weeks here today! Celebrated by buying some wall stickers in the mamas and papas sale this morning. Head still full of everything that could go wrong but finally feeling a little tiny chunk of positivity.

pizzakat · 30/09/2015 10:39

Everything crossed for you northdown hopefully LO will hang on a little longer for you!

Eeek I could have spent a small fortune on stuff in mamas and papas last time I was there nouser but managed to stick to just a money box, what kind of wall stickers did you get?
I'm 31 weeks today but also felt 24 weeks was a huge milestone, it was the point I really started to relax a little and enjoy being pregnant

BumbleBee0 · 30/09/2015 10:59

Good idea on packing your bag north - hope you don't need it but if you do everything will be fine, technically you're only a week from 'full term'.

M&P Sale nouser..? Might have to have a peak at that, though I daren't buy anything yet!

cloudjumper · 30/09/2015 11:04

Good luck for today, north! Hoping there won't be too much worrying and that you get some reassurance. Keep us posted!

Yay for 24 weeks nouser! Are you getting any movements yet? Thinking I might have to get started to organise stuff (read: send DH into the loft/cupboard under the stairs to find things).

I had a lovely massage on Saturday to help with my sore upper back, but then did a lot of intricate baking on Sunday, which obliterated all the nice effects, sigh. Can't afford to have a massage regularly, they are so expensive!
26+5 here, next thing will be the glucose challenge test the week after next. Not looking forward to it, I hate Lucozade. But am wondering/worrying about GD, I feel soooo big. Dreading the bump measurement at the next mw appointment, wondering if I can decline...

Metalhead · 30/09/2015 11:45

Good luck north, I hope they don't keep you in just yet.

pizza I'm not far behind you (30+2) and feeling very heavy already! Getting up from the sofa and turning over in bed is quite a struggle, I dread to think what I'll be like in another few weeks...

Nousername2015 · 30/09/2015 16:13

I got the hot air balloon ones pizza, they are so bright and colourful I fell for them as soon as I saw them! Also got a really cute little elephant chime toy.
bumble The sale isn't huge so don't wory about the temptation! Although if you are on the market for a pram or travel system it looks as if there is some good deals on there.
cloud Getting some definite movements now, just not sure when supposed to start monitoring? Trying not to think about that side too much as I will obsess.

I've had a really achey bump for the past week or so now. Mentioned it to midwife this morning and she wasn't concerned at all, said it was stretching and ligament pain. It's not cramping, or increasing in intensity so not worried, it's just uncomfortable! Moan over.

pizza and metal Not far to go now for you both!

How did your appointment go north?

northdownmummy · 30/09/2015 16:24

All went well. I was on monitors for over an hour, heart traces all good and plenty of movements. Back on Tuesday to get the growth measurements repeated and see it little one is growing. At least they seem happy and healthy

OP posts:
BumbleBee0 · 30/09/2015 18:00

Great news north Smile

nouser could it be Braxton hicks? If not it definitely sounds reasonable that it's just stretching pains.

Metalhead · 30/09/2015 19:05

Great news north, fx the measurements will be on track too!

My little lady has been going a bit crazy the last couple of days, lots of really strong kicks and wriggles!

pizzakat · 30/09/2015 19:29

Yaaaay for all positive results north Grin

Ahh I saw those nouser so sweet they are lovely and bright, I'm obsessed with other people's nurserys (spend far too long on Pinterest these days) we're going for an under the sea theme which is proving slightly difficult since everything like that is quite boyish and we're expecting little girl!

Tell me about it metal my OH calls me a Granny now with the noises I'm making getting up and down, and turning over in bed is a nightmare... Have you got a maternity pillow? That has made things a bit more comfortable for me, on the sofa and in bed...

I've had sciatica quite bad for a few weeks now so I'm actually on maternity leave from the end of the week! No idea how I'm going to entertain myself for the next 9 weeks Sad but oh my god only 9 weeks to go how has that happened!

Nousername2015 · 30/09/2015 19:38

So some of the achey bump might have been trapped wind.
