Continuing the thread for ladies who are pregnant after MC

36 weeks today and doctor checked my cervix. 1cm dilated 60% effaced... She did warn me there would be spotting but I still had a minor freak out when there was a spot of blood on my liner and more when I wiped. Brought back bad memories.

But my baby girl is still kicking up a storm so she must have a little bit of room left in there. Heartbeat was normal (besides the hick-cups). I can't believe I'll have a little baby girl soon.

Morning all.
This week is feeling like a month. Getting to 24 weeks has suddenly become a huge deal (23+3 today) , I suppose for the reason that if anything happened it would be classed as a birth and registered etc. Ended up seeing the midwife yesterday as had a few days of feeling really achey with a few shooting pains. No uti, she said it was down to things growing and moving.

Just think mrsd and cloud, next week you can say you're finishing for mat leave next month! Have you planned a few weeks off first or working right up?

Anyone got any nice weekend plans? More decluttering and general moving things around here, nothing exciting!

nouser I'm not due until mid Dec and expect a late baby, and planned to work until the end of nov but it seems I have more leave than I thought so will finish a bit earlier. It's so strange thinking about never mind talking or typing about finishing. I'm still so scared something might go wrong.

Just been trying to get on with diy, chores and house jobs here. Did manage to pick some sloes to make some sloes gin. Can't wait to have a drink again. Don't miss it... Feel sick most of the time but it will be nice to have a guilt free glass of or pint when this is all over. Got a busy family day tomorrow. Will be the first time we've seen a lot of them in ages so I expect a lot of baby talk which I'm crap at.

I'm on my way to my godsons birthday party. It's at the same place where I started spotting which led to finding out about the mmc (was at my nans funeral then). Hadn't really thought about it until last night but really on edge today and baby has decided he's having a duvet day. Hoping for more wriggles, I've already tried drowning him in ice cold water and the poor thing is being poked like crazy.

Hope your little one starts kicking more soon nouser and you manage to enjoy the party despite the bad memories.

We're headed up to London for lunch with a friend, but I've already had to take some paracetamol as I'm feeling quite under the weather after my flu jab yesterday. Hopefully some nice food will make me feel better!

Thanks metal, hope you have a lovely lunch and start to feel better soon. I've had a few kicks so feel a bit more relaxed. He had a party in there yesterday so probably a bit tired today. Currently surrounded by 15 7 year olds and wondering what exactly we've all signed ourselves up for!

Right, I've set up a gmail account for the thread which is [email protected] and the pw is something many of us suffer from especially during the first trimester and involves vomiting (all lower case). PM me if you want it confirmed. In my case it wasn't limited to the first part of the day.

I've used the last stats update I could find and created an open google sheet. I've added thread babies I can easily find and tried to update it where I can, but we're missing lots of newbies and I'm hoping I've not left anyone on there who needs to come off.

Hello ladies, have not posted much on the thread but have followed throughout my pregnancy (although following the hacking scandal, I hadn't got around to changing my password!). Anyways, thought that I would update you all in the slightly earlier than planned delivery of Ted Alexander John born by c section at 36+6 weeks on 25th September weighing 7lb 5oz.

We are still in hospital and Ted is having phototherapy for jaundice but hoping to be home in the next day or so.

I am totally smitten with this adorable baby and the pain and anguish that was my pregnancy was worth every second. Good luck with your pregnancies, this is another positive happy ending following miscarriage.

Congratulations allthefours and welcome to the world Ted. Sorry to hear you have had what sounds like a worrying time of it, but glad he's here safely. Enjoy your newborn snuggles x

Day 2 of feeling crap here after my flu jab on Saturday. Now I know why I've never bothered with it before... but thought with DD1 being at school now there is a bigger chance of me catching it this year. Hopefully the effects will wear off soon.
