paws sorry spotting has started. I'm wondering if it's worth contacting GP or epu to ask for progesterone whilst you get your test sorted.et us know how you get on.x

Congratulations cava, I've seen a pic on the fb thread, she's gorgeous! Smile

melonface · 03/09/2015 09:09

cava thanks for sharing your story! What a lovely happy ending. Congratulations!

paws can you get in to see your GP or EPU?

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/09/2015 10:30

Going to try a&e , my doctors are useless.. Had they taken me seriously in the first place and tested my progesterone levels when I told them I was pg, this may have been able to be prevented...im so angry, words literally cannot describe

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/09/2015 10:32

I'm going to a&e and demand progesterone levels checked! Hcg rising rapidly as my lines are getting darker, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the baby, I'm almost certain it's low progesterone. Docs referred me to hospital gyne, phoned hospital and they said it's my gp that does it! Phoned gp and they said, nope, its the hospital!!!
So fed up with waiting for someone to pull their finger out, just going to hospital, they've left it so long to check my levels, now I'm f***g bleeding yet again!
Want to scream at them!

islander99 · 03/09/2015 12:49

Hope you get some proper attention soon Paws.

Just wanted to update: We had a scan this morning and we have a heartbeat! Still early days, but a good step in the right direction.

Thanks for sharing Cloudjumper. It's something you don't find in common with many people, so it's great to find a group that understands. Congrats Cava! What a beautiful name and well done peeps with positive scans.

Nousername2015 · 03/09/2015 12:52

Congratulations cava, what a lovely name. After all you've been through this is just the best news!

paws Hope the spotting clears up and you manage to get sorted.

islander Great scan news, definitely a step in the right direction.

Metalhead · 03/09/2015 13:10

Huge congratulations cava, I hope you and baby Charlotte are both doing well and enjoying plenty of snuggles!

bumble I felt the first flutters with DD1 around 14 weeks so definitely possible.

Sorry to hear you're bleeding again allmy, is it bad or do you think it could just be some spotting?

MsGlitterJunkie · 03/09/2015 13:11

Lovely news cava and what a gorgeous name, it's on my shortlist if I have a girl, a positive end to a tough journey.

Great news on all the positive scans ladies.

Glad you're going straight to A&E paws am so sorry you're having to go through this but hopefully you'll get seen by someone who takes you seriously and can offer some real help and reassurance.

northdownmummy · 03/09/2015 13:49

paws so sad you're having to deal with this but glad you're pushing to be seen

cava I'd been wondering how you were, so happy to hear you're getting lots of newborn snuggles

Bloods look ok for now, have to go back to hospital Saturday to have more taken to make sure levels are increasing...

Progesterone was 96 (anything as low as 20 they said they would have been happy with)
Hcg was 300 (4 weeks gestation average range is 5-426)

Tbh, bleeding not too bad now, more just light brown stains...but that's how it started last time with mc.2. Just have to wait and see.

BumbleBee0 · 03/09/2015 17:49

Great scan news islander.

Glad your bloods were positive paws.

Tftpoo · 03/09/2015 17:58

Congratulations cava, lovely happy news.

Glad to hear all seems ok for now paws.

Nousername2015 · 03/09/2015 18:17

Hope all went well today carrot

Glad it was good news paws

Reebok · 03/09/2015 18:46

So lovely to log on to news of a baby being born! Congrats cava.

paws glad bloods came back good. Fx all is well.

islander congrats on the scan

dobby would be great if you could find out the name of the drink.

bumble I felt flutters with dd at 13 or 14 weeks. Sort of like little butterflies. Everyone told me it couldn't be her but the Doppler confirmed it was when I had it at 15 weeks.

Currently on Meds like I was with dd to keep vomiting to a minimum...so far it's twice am and twice at night which is manageable. With dd I was sick up to 12 times a day and reduced to 4 on Meds. Feel rubbish. Work was hard. Had to tell my boss. She was a cow about it! More worried about staffing issues than how I was feeling (and probably secretly wishing I mc again). Feeling really nauseous and crappy. Just want to cry.

MyNameIsSuz · 03/09/2015 18:52

Great news cava, congratulations!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/09/2015 23:28

Thanks all! Smile

Congratulations to those who had good news scans!!!

reebok you poor love! FX it doesn't get as bad as with your dd X

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/09/2015 23:32

Thank you all for the well wishes and reassurance...im hopeful, but not 'too' hopeful if you know what I mean
It becomes a defense mechanism doesn't it, not being exited and hopeful. Mc truly sucks all the magical naivety out of pregnancy...especially rpl!

Right, bedtime, I can barely keep my eyes open smile Zzz

Nousername2015 · 04/09/2015 06:20

Best of luck today tft, hope all goes well.

Tftpoo · 04/09/2015 07:46

Thanks nouser. Got to wait until 3pm this afternoon...aargh!

Bejeena · 04/09/2015 13:17

Ladies can I join you or am I still too early?

After a mmc (confirmed at 9 weeks that stopped developing at 6+4) in May I am now about 5+3.

I am petrified of it happening again, how have you managed these early weeks?

I an too scared to call doctor and arrange for confirmation scan (I live abroad so normal procedure here) because I want it to be late enough to be able to detect heartbeat so I don't have to go back for a rescan like I did twice last time.

Arghhhhhh it is so hard to think positive.

This will be my second child, have a two year old son.

Tftpoo · 04/09/2015 13:29

Hi bejeena. It's not too early, you are pregnant. The early weeks are really hard. I have my 12 week scan today but it already feels like I've been pregnant for ages. It is a cliche but all you can do is think one day at a time. Today you are pregnant.

I am having a very hormonal week. The refugee crisis has had me in tears many times but today I am mostly sad about the baby I lost. It's my 12 week scan today but I should have been just over 6 months. I've spent so much time thinking about this one and hoping the scan will go ok that I feel like I've forgotten the one I lost. I got pg on the first cycle after mc so it's only just over three months since miscarried.

melonface · 04/09/2015 16:58

Welcome bejeena

tftpoo I hope your scan went well?

paws how are you doing?

MyNameIsSuz · 04/09/2015 17:01

I'm feeling a bit like that too tft, it should be my due date tomorrow. I thought if I was pregnant again by that milestone it wouldn't upset me but it has. How did your scan go?

And welcome bejeena!

Tftpoo · 04/09/2015 17:41

The scan went well, thanks for all your lovely messages. The baby was very wriggly and hard to measure but all fine.

suz, I think it's inevitable to feel sad on the due date, pregnant or not. The ones we are (hopefully) going to have don't replace the ones we lost.

I felt a bit funny when the sonographer said my due date is 19 March as the due date of the one we lost was 19 Dec, exactly three months before. I wanted to get pg soon after mc but now I feel like it was almost too soon.

MyNameIsSuz · 04/09/2015 17:59

I know what you mean! I found out about my mmc on the 2nd March, finally had erpc on the 16th, and my due date is the 10th - slap bang in the middle. I'm worried that whatever date the baby comes I will be thinking about what i was doing a year ago.
