OP posts:
Nousername2015 · 02/09/2015 11:56

Wonderful news melon!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/09/2015 13:56

Hello ladies, may I join?
Some of you know me from the 'headwreak' thread, and also 'ttc after mc' thread!
Now pg for 3rd time in 7 months, mmc April 14th @ 10&6, mc July 8th @ 4&3
I count us blessed that we always fall in first proper cycle, three times in a row!
I only hope this one sticks, I believe the last pg was list due to severe glandular fever which put me in hospital. Had a load of bloods done today to check: Thyroid function, thrombophillia, anti nuclear antibodies, ferritin, full blood count, and to check for ebv/gf to make sure that nasty virus has gone! Being referred to gyne unit I hospital to monitor pg and check hormones, book early scan etc etc...

Fx this is finally my first take home baby!!! Smile

melonface · 02/09/2015 14:40

Welcome allmychildrenhavepaws I hope your stay here is long and uneventful and that you get to meet this precious little one Smile

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/09/2015 16:05

Thanks for the welcome!

When and where should I have my progesterone levels checked? Went to docs and they said they don't do it there, and that she would refer me to gyne, spoke to hospital, they said they don't do it there, and that they should do it at my doctors!!! Phoned doctors yet again, and am waiting to hear back from them.....
Just so worried they are going to leave it too late and ill mc while waiting for someone to pull their finger out!? Sad

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/09/2015 16:06

Good luck with scan tomorrow carrot how far are you now? How's it been going? X

CarrotPuff · 02/09/2015 16:14

Oh hi paws, glad to see you over this side! I'll keep everything crossed this is your sticky bean this time!

I'm 13 weeks tomorrow, and it's my first scan. I have enough symptoms to keep me positive, but I'm still very anxious!

Nousername2015 · 02/09/2015 16:46

All went ok! Feel like I can breathe out again now and just maybe start to enjoy it.

Welcome allmychildrenhavepaws, sounds like you are being very well looked after. Fx for this one, hope you are bored stiff this pregnancy!

Nousername2015 · 02/09/2015 16:47

Good luck for your scan tomorrow carrot!

Metalhead · 02/09/2015 16:58

Yay for good scans melon and nouser! Smile

I had a filling replaced a couple of weeks ago mrsdiddly, they wouldn't do it unless it was safe. (My dentist wanted to take X-rays until I told her I was pregnant, then she said it'd have to wait until after baby is born.)

Welcome allmy, I hope you're third time lucky. Why do you need to have your progesterone checked? That's not something that's routinely done, so not sure who'd be responsible for doing it.

Reebok · 02/09/2015 17:29

Congrats nouser and melon!

Good luck carrot! Will keep my fx for you.

Welcome paws! Nice to see you on this thread.

Am feeling like death. Sickness has officially kicked in. Started off with wind and nausea...now we have moved on to very small appetite which is limited to grapes and coke (doc agreed to one a day like with dd to keep me going)...and now I'm also vomiting. Fx this one will stick. Feel as sick as I did with dd at beginning (only with her it got worse and turned into hyperemesis).
Gp won't give me an early scan or any early care as although I've had 2 mc, I had dd inbetween. Worried I will have to go on sickness Meds like I did with her. Sad

Tftpoo · 02/09/2015 17:57

Great scan news nouser and melon. Scanxiety is ramping up here, 3pm on Fri.

Hello paws, great to see you here. Fx this is the one and you have a long and uneventful stay here.

melonface · 02/09/2015 19:16

Pleased to hear good scan news nousername !

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/09/2015 21:24

Thanks everyone for the welcomings!

carrot I should have remembered how far you were, we both got our bfp's early July didn't we...gosh, odd to think I would have been 12-13 weeks now too had mc no.2 not happened!
I wish you the very best for your scan tomorrow, I'm sure all is fine hun X

metal I'm pushing to have it tested just to rule out any possible cause/future cause of mc...they have done so many blood tests to check for blood clotting disorders and autoimmune issues, and they're not routine...
Just want to make sure I'm doing anything I can to help, possibly prevent another mc (should there be a not yet discovered cause to my previous ones)
Got an early scan booked for 6weeks...would rather it was 7 so I stood the best possible chance of seeing hb, don't want to go too early, not see anything, then spend a week in limbo waiting for next scan...

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/09/2015 21:27

reebok sorry you're feeling so sick X

dobbythedoggy · 02/09/2015 22:10

paws I hope things go smoothly for you this time and that you aren't constantly worrying.

Congratulations on the good scan news.

reebok my dad had trouble with keeping fluids down after a big op in 2012. He could only keep coke down but needed to limit his caffien intake due to the medication he was on. His specialist nurse recomended some cordial he could buy online which had next to no caffien in and tastes exactally like coke when mixed with sparkling water. I'll have to see if he rembers what it is called, I was pregnant with dd at the time and it was safe for me to drink.

cloudjumper · 02/09/2015 22:19

allmy Progesterone is something that your GP should be able to check, it's not routine, but a simple blood test that they can request. If you had 3 mcs in a row, this is actually part of the routing testing, but they might say that you 'only' had 2 so far, so they can't do it. You can get this done privately, if that is something you would consider.
As you are already pg, I wouldn't wait too long - low progesterone can be an issue.

nouser Great scan news! Remind me how far along you are?! Hope you can relax a bit now.

carrot Good luck!

reebok Sickness can be so crippling. Do you get any help at all? hope it eases soon!

I have really bad indigestion since yesterday, ugh. Constantly burping, and now really bad wind as well. And my constipation has gotten awful again as well. I think I will have to ask the midwife for something other than lactulose, it is just not doing anything. The joy of pregnancy...

Nousername2015 · 03/09/2015 03:33

Thanks cloud, I'm 20+1 today and do feel a lot more relaxed now, although I can already sense that the next thing will be driving myself potty over movement. You're a few weeks (or more!) ahead aren't you? Hope the digestive issues ease up soon, it's so uncomfortable.

Good luck today carrot, let's get that milestone knocked down. Best of luck for tomorrow also tft.

Haven't heard from cava or envious/eleanor in a while, hopefully they will be back along to update us soon.

Pandapops8 · 03/09/2015 04:16

Good luck with the scancarrot tomorrow and yours on fri tft

Great scan news! melon and nouser

Welcome paws fx for 3rd time lucky!

I'm feeling a bit all over the place. Still on holiday where I should be enjoying myself but still felt no sickness for a week now, and I had a terrible nightmare where I'd had another mc and woke myself up crying, then had to wake up dp to console me. I don't think I can wait to my 12 week scan on 21st, I'm too anxious and the nightmare was just so real.

Pandapops8 · 03/09/2015 04:18

Good luck for today carrot not tomorrow! It's taking me a while to try catch up with logging on once a day!

Tftpoo · 03/09/2015 07:29

I can't stop crying about the picture of the dead Syrian toddler on a beach, it is just so incredibly sad and what with the hormones and all I'm a total wreck this morning. I just can't stop thinking about it. The way he's lying looks just like how one of my boys sleep and they're about the same age. I feel so incredibly lucky to have my boys and if this one makes it, another baby too. I can't begin to think how awful life must be for you to feel you have no alternative but to flee and risk your family's lives like that. So sad.

melonface · 03/09/2015 08:45

tftpoo I'm feeling much the same. There's a petition on change.org campaigING for our government to do more to help. I've signed, a tiny gesture but a start.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/09/2015 08:55

Well the bleeding's started again...

cavamonster · 03/09/2015 08:58

Sorry disappeared off for ages but it's been all go my end!!

I was admitted to hospital two weeks ago with an unstable lie, baby kept moving from breech to transverse and I was at risk of cord prolapse - so safest place for me was the ante natal ward.

Baby Charlotte Grace was born by elcs on Saturday 29th, weighing 7lbs1 - yeaaaaa!!! We are so in love with our little bundle and so very grateful.

I know a lot of people read this thread who are looking for hope and with our little girl I hope people get that. I suffered from grade 4 endometriosis, experienced 3 missed miscarriages, had to have repeated eprc's as my body couldn't even miscarry properly and then to add insult to injury contracted severe Ashermans Syndrome twice, which is uterine scarring that sealed all the neck of the womb leaving me without any periods and completely infertile whilst I fought to get someone to diagnose it and then someone talented enough to treat it (Dr Trew @Queen Charlottes) - and then get help to understand why I was miscarrying to begin with as original tests came back clear until I demanded to be put under the care of St Mary's in Paddington ( blood clotting - TEG was eventual diagnosis - treatment aspirin and progesterone). It's been one hell of a journey to get here, and I was petrified right up till the moment she was in my arms that something would go wrong but as I sit here staring at her none of it seems to matter!

Good luck to everyone on here, hope you have your babies snuggled up to you soon xx

BumbleBee0 · 03/09/2015 09:03

I saw the picture too and it was so hard to look at. My DS is not far off too and yesterday (mainly middle of the night) I kept worrying about losing him (maybe this was why). I think this pic should be reminder to people of how bad it is and what mothers have to risk to flee to a safe country (and not to claim benefits/steal jobs as many morons would think).

On a more positive note it's great to hear of good scan news.

So sorry to hear of your ectopic mini. As if mc isn't bad enough, ectopic seems like a real piss take. Hope you're being looked after and take your time to get through this. Flowers

Sorry you're having a tough time baby, I hope your scan next week is positive.

Welcome paws and any other newbies I've missed, wishing you uneventful pregnancies.

paws if you're struggling to get progesterone tested could you request cyclogest anyway 'in case your mcs were caused by low progesterone'. Not sure if your GP would prescribe but no harm in asking.

Sorry to those with bad ms or feeling rough. I felt dreadful with zero energy but glad to say I started improving after 12wks and feeling almost normal now. (You can tell as my house is tidier/cleaner Wink)

Afm I'm 14+6 today, seems to have gone more quickly since the 12wk scan. My next app with mw is mon and fingers crossed we should hear the hb on the Doppler so looking forward to that for reassurance. Although saying that I'm pretty sure I've been feeling movement which is getting more frequent over the last wk. think I may have felt a tiny 'kick' the last 2 days too, like someone poking me from the inside. Has anyone else felt things this early on?

CarrotVan · 03/09/2015 09:04

Congratulations cava what a journey you've had

Fx firmly crossed paws can you get to an EPU?
