mini I am so sorry. Really wishing you the very best of luck as you move forward x

cloudjumper · 01/09/2015 09:09

So sorry mini Look after yourself and do what feels right for you. Sounds like you have a good plan of action in place, hopefully that will help with the recovery!

Good luck to all those with scans today!

reebok I also went into a social no-man's land during the first trimester, I just could not face seeing anyone. People were very understanding - would you consider telling your friend?

islander So sorry to hear your story. I had a loss a 17 weeks last year, and like you, it hit me like a ton of bricks, as all had been great at the 12 week scan. I'm 22+4 now, and my anxiety has really calmed down since the 20-week scan. However, I had a private scan at 16-17 weeks because I was getting so anxious around that time that DH and I agreed it would be in everybody's interest. Maybe that's something for you to consider? It really helped me. The time between the 12 and 20 weeks scans is just too long!

Reebok · 01/09/2015 11:31

Not ready to tell her. I've told my family and best mate but that's it's for now. This trapped wind is seriously killing me. Can't eat or drink. Nothing is helping.

cloudjumper · 01/09/2015 11:40

reebok Have you tried peppermint tea?

Reebok · 01/09/2015 12:14

Been suggested that today so will go get some when I get the chance. Having some funny coloured discharge (sorry tmi)...not brown...sort of like beige-ish. Getting worried.

MsGlitterJunkie · 01/09/2015 12:18

I'm just back from my booking appointment with the midwife, went well and it now feels more real if you know what I mean?

I am a huge advocate of doing whatever it takes to get you through. My anxiety has been really, really bad of late with vivid dreams about bleeding etc. I'm only 8+5 so my fiance has suggested that we go for private scans if it all gets too much. Only just over 3 weeks now until my 12 week scan so I think I can hang on until then but just taking it one day at a time, nothing else for it!

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 12:40

reebok If you're worried try giving your local epu a call, they may ask you to come in and be scanned. Fwiw brownish discharge is very common and very likely to just be some irritation from little one burrowing in. I had a couple of bouts of it in the 1st tri.

glitter Congratulations on booking in and love your approach. Trying to adopt it myself!

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 12:42

Hope you're doing ok today mini

CarrotPuff · 01/09/2015 13:07

Mini so sorry about your loss, hopefully everything goes smoothly with ivf Flowers

Scan in 2 days...

melonface · 01/09/2015 13:16

mini I'm so sorry for your loss.

carrot all the best for your scan

I echo what the others have said about anxiety, do what you've got to do to get you through the day. I had a scan at 16 weeks as there's no way I could have waited longer. My 20 week scan is tomorrow and im terrified, I have awful vivid dreams about all the things that could be wrong.

Babytinx11 · 01/09/2015 13:21

Well thought I was going to be saying goodbye yesterday but for now bean is hanging in there. Was admitted last night with heavy bleeding and allot of pain scan this morning showed baby is OK but I have a large area of bleeding just above where baby is anyone else had this before and how did things turn out slightly terrified x

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 14:54

melon Right there with you. Totally ruined my bank holiday by googling all sorts of horror stories, even though I knew I shouldn't be. Even got scan photos out trying to look to fluid or abnormalities (like I would know where to look!) I've not been productive at work today at all. What time is your scan? I'm crossing everything that tomorrow we'll be letting out sighs of relief and then worrying about something else

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 14:57

baby God you've been through it, glad you've been seen though and have some answers. There's lots of ladies on here who have had similar and they have just been harmless, think they are called haemotomas? Hand holding from over here, have the hospital sent you home or are they running more tests?

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 15:02

By the way just read that back and the first bit of my post baby doesn't read how I meant it. I meant that things have been tough so far with a lot of sympathy and support with those words, not how they sound when read back. Good on little bean for hanging on in there.

Babytinx11 · 01/09/2015 15:25

I didn't read it horribly nouser I am home now with strict instructions to go back if the pain or bleeding get worse apparently there isn't anything they can do about it just need to wait and see what happens

Metalhead · 01/09/2015 15:57

So sorry to hear you're having such a hard time baby, fx the little bean will stay put. How far along are you? (I've not been on here for a while so kind of lost track what stage everybody's at.)

melonface · 01/09/2015 16:57

nousername thankfully its at 8.30 so I don't have a whole morning of worry!

baby your poor thing what a scary time. Pleased to hear that baby is ok and will hopefully stay that way!

Nousername2015 · 01/09/2015 17:51

Very jealous melon, I've got until 3pm to stew!

MsGlitterJunkie · 01/09/2015 18:45

Good luck for tomorrow nouser & melon

Sorry you're going through the wringer baby sounds like you're in great hands so let's hope the bleeding eases up soon.

Babytinx11 · 01/09/2015 20:45

Bean was measuring 7 weeks today still bleeding honestly my scan on the 11th can't come quick enough

mrsdiddlydoo · 01/09/2015 22:10

mini sorry to hear about your loss. Glad dh is taking care of you. Be kind to yourself x

Good luck on Thursday carrot puff
And tomorrow nouser and melon

Pleased to hear bean is hanging on in there baby. Hope the bleeding settles and that's the end of it.

Glad the booking appointment was a positive experience for you glitter

to everyone I've missed.

Got mw appt tomorrow. First in ages. And this evening I went to an antenatal relaxation class. Found it a bit surreal being there especially with all the positivity in the room. Hoping some of it rubs off on me!

Does anyone know if its ok, as in really ok, to have a filling fixed during pregnancy? I'm a bit nervous but booked in next week to have an old one replaced.

Nousername2015 · 02/09/2015 08:14

Best of luck for this morning melon!

Learned my lesson this morning, didn't feel like breakfast but took my pregnancy vitamin anyway. Got to work and had to run to the loo to be sick. Just hoovered my lunchtime sandwich and feel miles better! Will definitely not take on an empty stomach again.

melonface · 02/09/2015 09:22

Everything looking good at 20 week scan Smile

cloudjumper · 02/09/2015 10:17

Yay melon That's great!!

CarrotPuff · 02/09/2015 10:33

Oh Tinx so sorry you have to go through all that worry again. FX the bean stays put Flowers

MrsD I really think it's ok. The dentist would tell you otherwise.

Great news melon!

Good luck for later today Nouser! I've learned that lesson the hard way last time too btw, never ever took a pill on empty stomach since. In fact, I find taking them in the evening much better.

Scan tomorrow Confused
