40+3 today and very impatient

Is anyone else overdue and feeling fed up waiting for our little ones to arrive? Had a sweep done on sunday morning and was in pain all day, was sure it was the beginning but nope still no sign, being gradually losing my plug since sunday night also.

Oh exciting news Scottish! I knew those back pains after the sweep were a good sign!

Got my epidural now and feel alot better. That pain was the worst pain ive ever experienced and i usually like pain! Not long now Grin

Baby Roman was born at 7:18am weighin 7lbs 14ozs Grin and he is the cutest baby in the whole world Grin

Any more babies imminent? I had a sweep earlier but so far it doesn't seem to have made any difference. 41+1 today...

40+5 here and still waiting. Have next sweep booked for Tuesday if nothing happens before then.

Have been eating hot food, pineapple and raspberry leaf tea. Even dtd the last 2 nights but nada!

Do I win at 40+11? Had sweep this morning and regular mild contractions since 6pm. But not strong enough to call hospital yet. Hoping this will be it though - would rather avoid induction on Tuesday!

Nope... Still playing the waiting game. Got a MW app tomorrow so will have another sweep then, until then trying to think laboury thoughts. Any movement for you?

Or here! Also have a sweep tomorrow. And my midwife will be booking induction tomorrow for some point next week.

Reason 78 for baby to come soon. None of my mat clothes even fit any more and am reduced to wearing just t-shirt and leggings. Which is a look I would have struggled to pull off pre pregnancy, never mind with a full grown bump!!

How often do sweeps actually work? I've managed to get a MW appt for Thursday when I'll be 40+6 and wondering whether or not to accept one...

I was wondering that too Penguinandminipenguin - was offered one at 40 + 1 which I didn't have as felt was too soon and wanted bit of time for baby to come naturally. But going to try it tomorrow as slightly desperate now. But not sure what there success rate is. Going off my very unscientific sample of my own friends seems to be about 50 / 50 but have no idea what actual rate is. guessing lower?
