Welcome harry, glad they are seeing you this week and that you've found us to chat to in the meantime. Hand holding until then

Great news about hearing the hb zeux, but shit news on the job Sad. Will you still qualify for the government mat pay you get if you've been in work?

So sad to hear about ginger SadSad

happygojo · 27/07/2015 20:27

I appear to me joint first on the list! How has that happened!

Zeuxippe · 27/07/2015 20:30

March thanks, not 100% sure on the timings yet but am keeping my fingers crossed I'll qualify for SMP. If not then I should definitely qualify for SMA which is less money but would still just about keep us afloat financially. The really annoying thing is that I've been paying into a redundancy insurance policy for over three years just to find out it doesn't cover you in a maternity situation!!

The midwife visit reminded me baby is number 1 priority, obviously I'd rather have a baby than a job.

Brummiegirl15 · 27/07/2015 20:47

RIP Baby Lucas Flowers

I read Gingers heartbreaking thread Sad

It does sound similar Harry, fingers crossed for your scan on Friday.

northdownmummy · 28/07/2015 07:54

Went searching for gingers post after reading on here. So sad, I just can't imagine the heartache they're going through.

I've been very over emotional and tired recently so have taken a day off work. Just seen DD off to nursery and gone back to bed. I'm hoping that a day of weepy movies on the sofa will help.
I've realised that while I was dreading the due date from my MC I fell pregnant with this little one just in time. I was got my BFP a few days before the due date so that distracted me. Now with the anniversary of the MC approaching I'm remembering those days in the hospital, all the endless waiting and it's all feeling a bit raw.

As I type this I'm getting big kicks and wriggles which helps a lot.

Nousername2015 · 28/07/2015 08:21

I hope that you feel better soon north Flowers Little one must know you need cheering up, I bet you'll be booted all day!

ginger has been in my thoughts ever since I chanced upon her thread, its just heartbreaking.

I seem to have discovered pregnancy rage today. Sitting in my hotel room with my porridge pot and housekeeping stroll in to clean the room. At 8am! I don't have to leave for my meeting until 10 so I'll continue to make myself comfortable thank you. 8am!!! This doesn't bode well for my 4 hour drive back up north later...

Metalhead · 28/07/2015 08:41

Oh gosh, poor ginger, I can't imagine what they must be going through. Sad

Brummiegirl15 · 28/07/2015 09:05

My 3rd due date is approaching and even though I'll be 14 weeks pregnant I am dreading it.

I found the last two very hard Sad

cloudjumper · 28/07/2015 10:22

My heart goes out to ginger it is so so sad Sad

I have now 'come out' at work. Everyone is lovely and full of congratulations, but I am secretly freaking out that I have jinxed it now Confused Am I crazy to say I want another scan already?! The last one wasn't even 2 weeks ago... I've had lots of niggly aches and pains recently, nothing anywhere bad and almost 99% due to growing/stretching, but I just want to know that everything is alright in there. Ugh. 3 weeks until the 20-week scan, it can't come soon enough.

bythesea82 · 28/07/2015 10:33

suz glad your scan went well Smile

Welcome Harry, I really hope your scan on friday shows some positive news for you and you don't have more bleeding.

zeux Glad you heard the heartbeat but sorry to hear you have the stress of redundancy news.

mrsD I remember the climbing up the walls feeling coming up to my 20 week scan. I had really thought I was getting less anxious but those last few days were horrible. Hugs for you, hope you're getting through the week ok. Looking forward to hearing that it went well Smile

march hope the week is still passing for you as well. How far along should you be on friday?

cloud well done for taking the plunge, you have not jinxed anything! Hopefully you will start to feel things soon and have that reassurance and worry

Also thinking of ginger Sad

Nousername2015 · 28/07/2015 10:38

cloud You've come out at the same point I intend to. My boss and hr know but that is it until next mw appointment has happened. You absolutely will not have jinxed anything. How does it feel people knowing? This is daft but I find it really strange, it makes me feel very protective of the baby but also very odd people knowing that me and dh got frisky. I need to add here that we've been married for almost 2 years!!

Brummiegirl15 · 28/07/2015 11:17

Cloud to be honest I came out at 12 weeks - I just thought I need to throw myself into this. But completely understand where you are coming from.

It's very strange though people congratulating me and it does unnerve me a bit if I'm honest

Marchgirl · 28/07/2015 11:28

Well done for coming out at work cloud. It must feel like a big step.

Hugs for your due date brummie, i hope this one passes easier with being pg now x

I'm 6 weeks today bythesea, so will be 6+3 at scan on Friday. Really scared that it's another mmc. Lots of cramping last night which freaked me out. Dh is being quite negative which is getting me down. I know he's just trying to protect me but it doesn't help!

Metalhead · 28/07/2015 11:40

cloud I'd have a scan every week if I could! Blush Even though I'm feeling movements every day now, some days they're very subtle and few and far between, and then I start to worry again... I also feel like the further I get, the more I have to lose, if that makes sense. Anyone know when movements become more regular? Is it not until nearer 28 weeks? I've still got an anterior placenta (although it's high), so I guess that could dampen them a bit.

Just handed in my MATB1 form at work, so it's all official now!

MyNameIsSuz · 28/07/2015 13:11

March, my dh was being really negative too, said he'd completely written it off, I think to protect himself as much as me. It wasn't very helpful though when I needed some reassurance!

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/07/2015 13:31

cloud i've been worrying i"'ve jinxed it by telling the group leader at a toddler group I'm nearly 20 weeks this morning. Even as I was saying it I was imagining having to have the opposite conversation at some point. It just doesn't go away does it.

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/07/2015 13:32

And big thanks for the stats envious

Heart goes out to gingerbreadmam xxx

melonface · 28/07/2015 14:48

Hello
Would it be ok if I joined you? I 'know' a few of you from other threads but need some hand holding and would like to offer support to anyone else that needs it.
I'm 14 weeks pregnant and today marks a year since I found out I was pregnant with my 1st which I sadly miscarried. Everything is looking fine for this baby but the dark clouds do descend every now and then. Private scan booked for 11 days time. So relieved to be in the second trimester but don't 'feel' very pregnant so looking forward to feeling movements soon!
I'm with you on the 'jinx' feeling as I've been worrying ever since I told work on Friday.

Stats: Melon age 28, 0 DC, MC August 2014 at 8 weeks, EDD 21st January
