Glad things went well today boys. Has it put your mind at ease for a bit? I think I am going to be a bit of a monster until quite a long way into this pregnancy and will probably spend way too much on private scans. We must have very similar dates.

suz, fingers crossed for you for next week. Hope the weekend isn't too bad.

dobbythedoggy · 24/07/2015 20:00

Back home now march, I've been given promethazine hydrochlorigen, phenergan, 25mg to be taken before bed and to be repeated in morning if needed. The first dose made me feel so sick, but was asleep with in a quater of an hour, slept for most of the day and woke up hungery and thirsty. My gp said it's the first time his ever prescribed something for pregnancy sickness so spent ages researching it.

Have you found anything that works for you?

Marchgirl · 24/07/2015 20:17

I took prochlorperazine the last two times. It reduces the episodes of puking slightly for me, but does nothing at all for the nausea, which is the worst bit. sometimes the puking is the only thing that gives relief! Tried 4 other types that did nothing, but not tried your one, so perhaps something to try this time if I need it. Really hoping the steroids I'm on will keep it at bay, as that's one of the latest treatments

driftingclouds · 24/07/2015 20:37

little congratulations! What lovely news

boys so pleased that the scan was good news. I hope it all goes well for the next scan on Tuesday.

suz I can only imagine the worry you are feeling. I hope it is good news when you have your scan. Can you do something this weekend to take your mind off it?

north sorry to hear you are struggling. I haven't had that anniversary yet but it would have been my EDD on Monday just gone (2 days after I got my bfp). In the end we bought a lovely tree that my husband and I chose together. It has already given me so much comfort just looking and it and helping to think about the baby we lost. I personally find it helpful. However, I also agree with whoever said they felt the build up to the day was worse. I felt so anxious about it but then I was so busy on the day (intentionally) that there was no time to feel sorry for myself. I also feel a bit relieved to get that milestone out of the way and make peace with it. I'm sure the bfp helped though too! I am planning on marking the pregnancy and baby loss awareness day in October though.

broody what a lovely vicar and I think that sentiment is perfect really.

dobby I hope you are feeling better and that the drugs start to work soon!

I'm planning on telling my parents tomorrow which is sort of scary and exciting! I'm only 4+4 (I think!) but I'm really close to them and want them to know. Plus it was horrible last time-We hadn't told them as were planning a big family Christmas reveal (my MC was early December). Then I ended up having to tell them over the phone that I was pregnant but probably having a miscarriage. I really want to be able to share good news now, whatever happens in the long term.

dobbythedoggy · 24/07/2015 20:37

That sounds awful march. I do agree nausea is so much worse than pucking itself. I have to say my gp was fantastic, after much searching he found the treatment protocall for our area. Was very keen for me to go back if it didn't work.

From the information I've had with it, it's a mild seditive, normally used to treat travel sickness. My stomach doesn't feel normal, almost as if I've been eatting grit! But there's no real nausea. Very greatful and lucky that dh works split shifts so he can do the bulk of dd's care. At the moment, other than the first desprate dose, have got away with just taking at night. It leaves me with a very mellow feeling much like my post c-secetion morhpine high!

Have you read anything about magnisum oil spray? A pregnant friend swears by it at the moment to deal with her sickness. I personally have been put of by most of the may not be sutiable for use in pregnancy warnings. But she's had 3 previous healthy pregnancies.

Marchgirl · 25/07/2015 09:55

Not heard of the magnesia thing dobby. I'll look into it. Thanks!

Hormones are raging today. Cried in the middle of marks and Spencer's because I didn't like the bras that fit me Hmm does any one have a good reccommendations for bras ? I just can't imagine the thought of wearing a bra with no underwire or padding (I'm 23 and a 32 f and don't fancy having my tits look like that of a 60yr old :/ )

Marchgirl · 25/07/2015 18:24

Someone mentioned that bravissimo are very good rebecca

MyNameIsSuz · 25/07/2015 18:38

Yes, I got nice ones in bravissimo last time, Rebecca, and I'm a g cup. I stayed in padded and underwired the whole time and it was fine, bravissimo were great as they had a different way for measuring when you're pregnant that takes into account how much you might grow. I went back there for nursing bras when he was born.

Somewhat belated congratulations on your baby boy little, I hope you're recovering well!

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 25/07/2015 19:30

Thank you girls. I'm going to have a look on the Internet and see what i can find, we are very limited in shops for maternity things where I live, so trying things on is nigh on impossible ! I just want some support and shape is all ! Lace bras are all well and good when there isn't a lot to hold up !!!

cloudjumper · 25/07/2015 22:39

I bought bras in John Lewis last time, albeit not maternity bras, but nursing ones. I need to get new bras as well, I am suddenly outgrowing everything.
I went shopping for mat clothes today and got totally frustrated. I live in Cambridge, and there are hardly any shops at all that have mat clothes, it is utterly depressing. And ones that do have them have all moved to the other end of town to that which we went to today. So I ended up spending a lot more money than I had planned in Jojomamanbebe - but I desperately needed trousers, I have nothing to wear! I don't understand why shops don't stock mat wear (looking at you, John Lewis & co.!) Angry

Hello all Grin

Cloud I went shopping in Birmingham this week for clothes - 2nd city and all that and basically on Debenhams and H&M had stuff and H&M had 2 racks that was it !!!

I had a lovely meet up today with ladies from the rmc thread, Just, Sun, One Step and Thornefield.

Was lovely and I got to cuddle baby Scott who is just gorgeous! Couldn't believe though we'd had 17 mc's between the 5 of us...

I'm practically 13 weeks - had letter come through for 20 wk scan today. It's getting real!!!

Need to read back now and see how you all are and catch up

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 25/07/2015 22:59

cloud I'm in bury St Edmunds (half hour from Cambridge) our range of maternity stock is even worse ! It's shocking how limited pregnant women are when shopping !

broodylicious · 26/07/2015 07:26

Hello ladies. Just a quick note to announce the safe arrival of baby broodySmile Born yesterday, totally natural birth at our mlu, super staff, incredibly supportive dh and a 9lbs squish of beautiful baby girl to complete our family. Established labour and birth was very quick, just 25 mins in total! Sore and bruised but proud as punch.

So proof that rainbow babies do exist! Thank you all so much for your words of wisdom and support these last nine months, I'd have gone truly insane if not for the advice and kindness of many of the ladies who are on here or have already had their littlies. I wish you all boring pregnancies and hope you'll be holding your own squishes soon xxx

Nousername2015 · 26/07/2015 07:40
