Congratulations bex
Had last scan with epau sat just gone, went very well bouncing baby being cheeky like its older sister was- hiding and moving away from sonographer! Saw hb, brain feet etx was very thorough-had 20 min scan which was lovey to have time taken
The twin has now been absorbed (struggling with this Atm as although I knew it had died it still being there etc just felt ok but now it's gone feel a sense of loss again)
They saw my cyst this Time so back under consultant care boo

16 week midwife yesterday- hubby came, heard hearybeat which wAs lovely, I have anterior placenta so she showed me difference in noise of baby and placenta (no kore worrying that I can't find hb with my doppler as she struggled and said
Always hard when anterior) think I felt it move for first time properly yesterday hehe

Barbie I'm glad that twin has been absorbed, I guess that eliminates any future complications.. but I just wanted to give you these Flowers .. I can't claim to know how you are feeling but seeing my empty womb on the scan post mc was the hardest part of it all for me.. so I can at least try. [Brew]

Barbie I'm sorry. Of course you feel a sense of loss. Hopefully in time you will come to feel that your body did what was right and that your baby is just your baby rather than one of a set with one missing. Thanks Thanks

barbie Thanks. It must all be so bittersweet in a way.

StockingFullOfCoal · 09/06/2015 13:53

barbie Flowers This happened to SIL with her first pregnancy. Huge love.

So: Dental surgeon. Nitrous Oxide inhalation sedation a big no no at any stage in pregnancy. He said he could refer me to hospital for GA if I think I need it, but that will also run high risks. I said as long as I'm 100% numb, I don't care what pressure I feel or what noises I hear. He's advised postponing until 2nd trimester (he said he'd prefer to wait until after the baby is born, but its too severe to leave it that long - there is an abscess on the root of the tooth, its grim) So we figured out the dates and the first appointment he offered me is on our 2nd wedding anniversary! Haha! Fortunately, my DDs will be at Grandads for the week, and so it really is the best time to have it done in terms of childcare/housework/school runs (he said there'd be no chance of me doing 3 school runs a day, nor housework, nor childcare - considering I'll only be able to take basic pain meds during the recovery process, and I'll need quite a few stitches, my face will swell... It sounds real gruesome and does not help my anxiety any but I know its necessary)

Anyhoo... I plan to cheer myself up by booking our Early Scan for a fortnights time.

chasingtherainbow · 09/06/2015 13:56

Stocking you've just described a dental nightmare for me!

Amyyy27 · 09/06/2015 14:05

Jeeeez stocking I do not envy you one little bit, you poor thing! Definitely get that scan booked so you have something positive to look forward to!

Amyyy27 · 09/06/2015 14:08

Just wondering if anyone knows if glenpip and sasha are still on MN and if so how they are doing? Forget its been quite some time since our journeys together started and would love to hear if they have had some good news.

StockingFullOfCoal · 09/06/2015 14:13

chasing I was referred to this specialist because I have such a severe phobia of dentists, and this guy does sedation and is brilliant with nervous patients... No Inhalation Sedation, no IV sedation, no diazepam... I'm not sure how I am going to get through this! I can't be annoyed though, because the reason I can't have them is because I am (hopefully) having a squishy baby. I can't be mad!

Tootle10 · 10/06/2015 08:46

welcome stocking! And congratulations Smile bad timing on your dental problems though!
Happy holidays bristol - enjoy Greece and the sunshine!
So glad your scan went well romeo
barbie - I'm sorry for your loss. Flowers can't imagine how you must be feeling but I hope you find space to grieve without it affecting your happiness for your baby.

I'm quietly panicking about my scan on Monday... this will be the one where I see whether I've made it past the point of my mmc last time. Still not many symptoms, other than the odd bout of nausea, which isn't helping the anxiety.

Oh and my stats...

I forgot about my other symptom... bloating Sad I look like I have a bump but I know it's all bloat and my clothes feel so tight. Hoping this phase will pass soon and I can have an actual bump made from baby! X

Yes, I am very bloated amd uncomfortable. I have IBS and pregnancy seems to have flared it up. We are off on holiday on Monday and the only things that fit me are my stretchy maxi dresses!
