Bristolian1 · 05/06/2015 13:58

Great news romeo! Hope your dd is doing ok

gennibugs · 05/06/2015 14:46

Yay romeo glad the scan went well. Hope DD is ok too.

Romeolovesjuliet · 05/06/2015 14:58

Thanks all. Yes, DD is ok now. She had a nasty viral infection/chest infection and needed nebuliser and oxygen to help with her breathing. DS was also in A&E on Friday with the same thing but he already has an inhaler and that sorted him out so he was just observed for a few hours. Looking forward to a quieter weekend this weekend!

Amyyy27 · 05/06/2015 17:00

Oh hell romeo what an awful weekend, I hope this one is much better!

Gr33dyeggs · 05/06/2015 18:29

Amyyy27 · 06/06/2015 08:57

Eeek, doppler arrived and we got to hear baby's heartbeat, over the moon!! Took a while to find and much lower down than I expected but so amazing!! Grin

Gr33dyeggs · 06/06/2015 09:39

Great news amyyy! I was actually wondering if it had arrived for you yesterday. Mines still really low down, well below my tummy button. I feel like it should be higher up from the size of my bump!

chasingtherainbow · 06/06/2015 10:02

I've just remembered I have a car bump strap somewhere too which means there is definitely another box of stuff (that's not baby clothes) in the attic which means my angel sounds must be up there. Will send dh later/tomo.

Think I might blow up my bouncy ball too soon. I liked sitting on it.

Amyyy27 · 06/06/2015 10:03

Yeah same here greedy really low but got this huge bump!

chasingtherainbow · 06/06/2015 11:12

When the mw did mine with doppler she put it just above my belly button but to the left and pushed/faced it downwards so as to sit it 'on top' of baby iyswim. But I think with home ones you have to to low to get the exact position. I'm guessing medical dopplers are strong

Amyyy27 · 06/06/2015 12:21

Ah chasing I would be sending my OH up straight away! Yes they probably are stronger, I've just tried again and baby is now over the other side and a little higher up! Still took a while to find but I only paid £25 so can't complain!!

Bristolian1 · 06/06/2015 21:20

Great news about the Doppler Amyy!

I'm off to Greece at stupid o'clock in the morning! Very excited to be out of work for the week!! See you next weekend ladies, hope you all have lovely weeks x

Amyyy27 · 07/06/2015 07:20

Ah bristol hope you have a fab time in Greece! I love it there, super jealous!! Enjoy and relax x

onefootinthebed · 07/06/2015 21:29

Oh Greece , enjoy Bristol.

I feel like I only ever come on here to moan. I havnt recovered well from my sickness two weeks ago I still have a cold and God awful cough. I have also started vomiting mid afternoon to late evening. It's only once a day but I'm not sure if it's because I have a cold or pregnancy. To be fair I feel sick in the afternoon to evening like afternoon sickness I wonder if it's just taking me that long to vomit though. I never vomited once with my ds plus my boobs have stopped hurting. I think I am beginning to freak myself out. I am knackered aswell really really knackered. I want to cry right now.

Amyyy27 · 08/06/2015 08:25

onefoot sorry you aren't well! I'm also vomiting on an afternoon definitely due to baby . When does it end?!

gennibugs · 08/06/2015 08:50

Ah onefoot sorry you are feeling so rough. its horrible. I'm still feeling sick, I had hoped it was go by now.

Happy holidays bristol. We are off on holidays next week and I can't wait.

Woken up with major scanxiety here. my 20 week isn't until 26 June but I've started worrying already.

oh and ive now got a pretty obvious bump. I'm 17+5 so not sure if that's too early to be showing? I've obviously got rubbish stomach muscles!

Amyyy27 · 08/06/2015 10:32

genni definitely not too early!! I am 17+5 too and have had a very obvious bump for a couple of weeks now.

Have just had my hospital appointment to discuss how coeliac disease might affect my pregnancy. They have said due to malnutrition (because of the disease.. and HG will only make it worse) the baby could be small so need to have extra growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks to check how the baby is growing. What she didn't tell me (and I didn't think to ask) was if they show the baby is smaller than should be ... what will happen? Does anyone know? I feel like an idiot I had so many questions but felt so ill couldn't think of 1!

gennibugs · 08/06/2015 12:09

amy I'm not sure what would happen. Im sure someone else will know. It's good they will monitor you though to pick up on any issues.

Amyyy27 · 08/06/2015 13:12

Thanks genni I had a quick google but couldn't find much other than possibly induced early. Like you say at least if there are any issues it will be picked up.

chasingtherainbow · 08/06/2015 13:42

Amy I think if the baby is small you'll just be induced early, if growth is very slow they might give you injections to speed up the lung development and induce earlier. But I hope that babe just bumbles along nicely and you are able to go FT.

17 wks definitely not too early for bump. Baby is the size of a pomegranate or summat now and you've got a placenta and it's all over the public bone now so definitely time to show a Lil pot belly or ginormous bump like me

One foot ((hugs)) I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish. I don't generally feel particularly 'well' In this pregnancy. It's always something. . Sore bump.. sickness etc.

StockingFullOfCoal · 08/06/2015 14:02

tip toes into thread

Hello ladies! Oh my GOSH I am SO happy to see so many of you on here! When I popped onto the TTC thread and saw you'd all disappeared, I hoped you were all here Grin

Got my BFP on Friday - approx 4/5 weeks (I OVd really early this cycle and just so happened to do an OPK... It appears to have worked hehe)

DH & I haven't told anyone yet, I'm due 17th February 2016.

So... Catch me up please?! Flowers

StockingFullOfCoal · 08/06/2015 14:10

Amyyy My eldest daughter had growth issues (placenta malfunction/degrading, low amniotic fluid, whole host of scary problems) and essentially they just jabbed with steroids at 28 weeks (as I'd gone into prem labour, which did stop, thankfully) put me on bed rest, scanned me weekly to check growth/fluid levels, induced me at 36 weeks due to low AF. It was rather upsetting and frustrating as there was absolutely nothing I could do other than rest, rest. rest and deal with asshole MIL telling me it was because I didn't et enough woman I eat like a pig and you are not helping

StockingFullOfCoal · 08/06/2015 14:11

Hit send too early...

I will say though, that on the 9th July they said that she'd a maximum of 4lbs according to the scans, and 24 hours later she was born weighing... 5lbs 12oz... Grin
