Romeo hope you're doing ok today? Fingers crossed for you.

Feeling exhausted today as woke up at 3:30 this morning. That's a new low for me! I just can't get back to sleep when I wake up, must just have too much on my mind. Can't really be bothered with anything now! Anyone doing anything nice this weekend?

Amyyy27 · 30/05/2015 13:59

Hi all. I agree Romeo there's so much going round and you are more likely to pick them up now! Hope you're ok Flowers

Bristol my dog woke me up at 2 and took forever to get back to sleep so knackered here also! Popped out to get a new swimming costume after ripping old one! Gunna take up weekly swimming again from tomorrow as long as still feeling ok. Also having to scoff food every hour to avoid sickness! May sit in the garden for a bit as weather is lovely :) are you up to much this weekend?

Romeolovesjuliet · 30/05/2015 14:25

Thanks all. Feeling much better today, not 100% but better. But also feeling very stupid about panicking quite so much! Going to try and move scan to Friday when I'll be 6 weeks as it doesn't feel so urgent now and I might see a bit more then. Pretty certain it was a bug as DH ended up taking DS to A&E last night as he was struggling to breathe, heart racing, high temp and shaking and Dr said it was viral so imagine we had the same thing. So a lazy weekend here for us!
Hope everyone else is feeling well and having a restful weekend.

chasingtherainbow · 30/05/2015 14:35

Still a crap air between dh & I (if you saw my aibu thread!)

And he's been trying to put dds trampoline up for 3 hrs. It's clearly not going well. Dd and I are banned from the garden while he huffs over it.. and my tum is SO sore today and am fighting the sickness that I've got a bit shouty with dd.

Sad what a rubbish day.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 30/05/2015 15:37

I read your aibu thread- didn't twig it was you at the time.
Yanbu. 'Family tradition'- what a load of bollocks. You're his family.

Amyyy27 · 30/05/2015 19:27

Ah Chasing I didn't see your thread but hope things have settled down. My OH has been a misery today too!

Think I've just been feeling some proper movements!! I've had some bubbles and twinges lately which were questionable, but then for the last 5-10 mins I feel like I can feel the baby possibly turning round? Feels like being stroked from the inside! So weird, but amazing!! Has anyone else felt anything??

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 30/05/2015 20:50

How exciting Amyy! I've felt the odd poke last couple of days but not certain enough to get excited. I have one anterior placenta and one posterior so I would imagine I'll feel one baby more. It was about this stage that I started to feel it with dd.

Amyyy27 · 30/05/2015 20:57

Ahh guy I would bet they are movements :) yes I would imagine you will feel one more than the other, although maybe you will feel more with 2 babies taking up more space and extra arms/legs to prod you? :)

gennibugs · 30/05/2015 20:58

Eeeeep amyy how exciting! Wow!! Grin I haven't felt anything, I really hope I do soon otherwise will be another thing to worry about!

chasingtherainbow · 30/05/2015 21:00

Ah its soo lovely isn't it amy. . I'm just getting bits and bobs now but I can't wait for consistent movements. Dd always moved at certain times of day to begin with which was so reassuring. I wonder if my anxiety will move into that soon too Hmm

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 30/05/2015 21:17

I remember getting really anxious with dd. Movements were daily from about 20 weeks but sporadic within that until 27 weeks. Every time I didn't feel her for a couple of hours, I really panicked.
Counting the kicks is all very well but I actually think it'd a really bad idea. Being strongly aware of your baby's normal behaviour, absolutely. Being aware if the tend changes and getting checked it after about 26 weeks, of course. But sitting all day with a fucking kick counting bracelet counting every single movement you feel is just a one way ticket to stress and obsession. For me anyway.

Amyyy27 · 30/05/2015 21:26

genni I think I have been extremely lucky to feel something this early I don't think that's normal, plus the baby had some encouragement from coke and a few nudges Grin

chasing I haven't felt anything since just a more bloated feeling and needing a wee more! I'm sure it will be another worry to add to the list when the movements become more regular!

guy my midwife told me they have changed it now so you don't actually count kicks you just try and find a routine of when the baby is moving, and if it changes that's when you should get checked. Sounds much more sensible as I imagine each baby will be different and would cause unnecessary worry!

Gr33dyeggs · 30/05/2015 21:43

I've been feeling things for a couple of weeks now, but it's a lot more obvious now. Like you say though, when you've not felt it for a bit you worry! I can't wait until ds can feel it too (OH is still with head in sand)

Hi everyone - thanks for the support the other day. I held out until Friday then eventually cracked and rang the EPU for a scan. Thankfully all fine (despite a slightly snotty sonographer).

Romeo - I had severe tonsillitis with high temp, stomach/back aches etc at about 5w. I felt awful. Hopefully what you have is a virus/something similar.

Gr33dyeggs · 30/05/2015 22:24

Glad you got some reassurance curtains

Excellent news about your scan curtains!

onefootinthebed · 31/05/2015 07:57

Morning guys, I am up so mega early because a dream I had about the baby moving inside of my dancing and tossing and turning.i have been awake for hours. I found it funny that I catch up on the thread and you were all talking about movements lol, I have weeks till I feel anything. Have any of you had that were you see something a foot or hand coming from the stomach I often felt my stomach being kicked but seen no movements.

I have told work now and my ds, I have been offered the office supervisers role aswell.

Amyyy27 · 31/05/2015 08:16

curtains good news about the scan!

onefoot that is strange! Great news about the job too, well done!

Gr33dyeggs · 31/05/2015 08:51

Well I dreamt I had a quick painless labour not in hospital and baby came out hand first. It was a boy and a felt a bit of disappointment but then scooped him up and he started feeding and we bonded. Then I misplaced him on the school run and ended up attacking 2 school boys who were making fun of me! Off to find the dream translation guide.....

Great news on the supervisor role onefoot

Last pregnancy I remember having this really vivid dream that I was changing the baby's nappy and it's legs fell off. I was worried DH would be a bit cross so I kept trying to stick them back on with sellotape and then cover the sticking with a new nappy.

chasingtherainbow · 31/05/2015 09:38

I keep consistently dreaming that I keep having my baby VERY early. But sometimes it's either normal full term size or rediculously huge. And no one seems to remotely care about its bizarre early arrival.. and it's always a boy. And i literally cough and.. tadahhh. . Last night I birthed in an elevator. .

Romeolovesjuliet · 31/05/2015 10:04

Loving the collection of weird and wonderful dreams ladies!
Thanks itscurtains both DCs are also ill so I think that's part of it for me but I don't know whether it explains the backache. So pleased you had a positive scan.
I was awake again in the night with awful backache - had to get a hot water bottle. Still no blood of spotting so far. Also took another digi this morning and it still says 2-3 wks so I'm feeling pretty pessimistic. I'm 5+2 today by LMP but I think it's 3 weeks today since I ovulated so realistically a few days behind that. But with DS I remember clearly getting 3+ On a digi way before I turned 5 weeks. Then I keep thinking how long will the backache go on for with no bleeding if this is a miscarriage? And I still feel really sick etc. I hate this waiting bit, I'm really not good at it.
Sorry to bring the thread down, I'm so pleased to see many of you starting to feel movements, it's such an amazing time.

Gr33dyeggs · 31/05/2015 10:35

romeo aren't those digitalis notoriously iffy? On the ttc boards lots of people complain of period pains and have successful pregnancies. Big hugs. The worry never ends! I've been playing wii dance and wii fit with ds and haven't felt movement since so am anxious again. Try

Great news curtains and congrats on the job one foot!
I kept thinking I could feel baby but the sonography told me it can't be that early (I was 13 weeks then) so now wondering if they are or aren't the baby- maybe just wind? I Can't remember when I felt it move with dd so have to see x
