Bristolian my friend who had the same EDD for her DD as I had for mine text me as I was mc to say her DD was going to be a big sister. I sent a message straight back saying congratulations and how happy I was for her. I couldn't have said it to her face as she would never have believed me while tears were pouring but I genuinely was and am happy for her.

Gr33dyeggs · 21/05/2015 18:12

What a turn around onefoot! Great news.
I couldn't have told you my edd for my first mc, the fact I was pregnant again was enough and I'd moved on - as guy said, from a timing pov, I wouldn't have my ds if I hadn't mc. This time however I'm aware it was around 31st May because I'd thought it would get a BH birthday and things plus I've more anxiety this time so it's stayed with me.
amyyy sorry you're still ill! Today was a better day after 3 relative shockers for me - I'm wondering if it's bran flakes related (posted in chat).
bristolian I think you did the right thing. It's your friends problem but I appreciate that doesn't make you feel any better.

Hi ladies, can I join this thread?

I MCd at the end of March at 7 weeks. It was a long and horrible process, as I'm sure you all know. I noticed I was a few days late on Tuesday and took a test and had a BFP!

I'm a bit too scared to get excited yet, but it's a little hard not too. I'm having a flare up of Crohn's disease at the moment too so every twinge in my stomach is sending me to panic mode.

How are you all finding things?

Barbiedoll79 · 21/05/2015 20:23

Congratulations and welcome under sorry to hear about your previous loss but how fantastic for you! X

onefootinthebed · 21/05/2015 21:11

Congrats under,northen what's a hot hock?

I just told my family brothers and sisters.

I have s really bad headache and hate my hair cut.

Amyyy27 · 21/05/2015 21:18

Thanks greedy it could well be the bran flakes, stick to the shreddies and see how you go :) hopefully it is just that x

Congrats and welcome under! I have coeliac disease and IBS and sometimes find it difficult to distinguish what is causing the tummy pain/twinges. All the midwives have said is don't worry unless the pain is accompanied with bleeding.

chasingtherainbow · 21/05/2015 21:45

Welcome under! Also suffer with ibs. . It can be hard to know, I find even wind building up before leaving causes me an intense moment of paint that feels like it's right where baby should be.. it used to really worry me to begin with. Unfortunately it's made worse by stress which is a high contributing factor in this pregnancy as my anxiety ebbs and flows.

One foot I bet you've got a great hair cut. Don't be daft Flowers

Bristolian1 · 22/05/2015 05:49

Welcome and congratulations under - wishing you an uneventful 8 months!

Onefoot how was telling the family? Hope they were all suitably excited for you! And in sure your hair looks lovely Smile

Thanks for all the advice ladies! I'm going to just leave it for now, we'll see what happens when I next see her!

Got my dating scan letter through yesterday - 3rd June! Great timing as I'm off on hols with friends on the 7th.

onefootinthebed · 22/05/2015 10:06

I am so tired today I want to go home and get back into bed my shoulders feel tense and my head is still acheing.

Bristolian1 · 22/05/2015 11:00

I feel awful too onefoot Sad but the weekend will be here soon! Anyone got any plans?

gennibugs · 22/05/2015 11:45

Morning all.

I've called in sick today. They weren't happy but im feeling awful. my tummy is so swollen and sore. I suffer from ibs but I don't think this is normal. I've tried calling the midwives but no one calls me back. I've now an appointment to see the GP later but im worried they'll think I'm wasting their time and put me down as a paranoid. It is really really sore though. Cramps and like a burning feeling.

Welcome to the thread under.

bristolian 3rd June is not long at all!! Smile

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 22/05/2015 13:49

Could it be a UTI?

Three and a half months until I start maternity leave!

I'm still ill- cold and cough for over a week now so struggling to sleep. Took this week off work but I have to be in next week because I've got an edit and a tight deadline (I'm a filmmaker). DH goes away on Monday for two weeks so lots of childcare responsibilities for two weeks two.

I hate this past of pregnancy. Don't really feel ill other than tired, but I can't feel any babies kicking and I don't have a bump so I'm wondering if there is still anyone in there.

Welcome and congratulations to the new people!

chasingtherainbow · 22/05/2015 15:12

Genni that sounds v much like a uti!! Get yourself to a gp asap.. it sounds miserable Sad

Guy that's an awesome job. I officially start mat leave July 15th. That's like two months!!! I'll actually be doing one morning pw until the end of Aug for another contract but then that's it

Gr33dyeggs · 22/05/2015 15:51

Work are asking me when I'm going off. I'm still thinking it's a bit early to be thinking about it but apparently they want to advertise for maternity cover for me! Never been done in my department b4 - I guess I should be flattered!

Wow, that's nice and early! I hope you'll have a lovely relaxing summer then! I'll finish around 30 weeks this time, so early September. Didn't finish til 39 weeks last time but with twins, I think it needs to be nice and early.
A friend of mine has just had her twins by emcs at 31 weeks.

chasingtherainbow · 22/05/2015 16:00

Well it's forced by redundancy.. else I'd have held on till September. I finished at 33w with dd and definitely need to do the same this time.. my line of work is too full on to work any later!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 22/05/2015 19:00

Yes, with all the nights and things, you'll need a break before baby comes. Definitely!

northdownmummy · 24/05/2015 16:03

Overdid it a bit today, helping build a climbing frame for DD. have finally seen sense and having a lie down. Hoping to feel some wriggles cause yesterday was a bit quieter. I know it's due to me having an anterior placenta but while that helps logically..... You all know how it is

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 24/05/2015 18:27

Quiet on here... everyone ok?

Lilliana · 24/05/2015 18:36

I did another cb test today Blush I have gone up each week (1-2, 2-3 and have gone up to 3+ weeks today) so feeling like things are progressing ok fx.

I'm just so tired, falling asleep by 9 each night but I don't mind - it's the only thing making me feel pregnant atm.

PooSweats84 · 24/05/2015 19:37

I was thinking the same earlier Guy , almost 2 days between posts. Where has everyone disappeared to?!

Romeolovesjuliet · 24/05/2015 19:41

Hi, would it be ok if I joined? I know I'm quite a way behind many of you but I recognise some names from the ttc after mc thread. I found out yesterday I'm pregnant again after a mmc discovered at the 12 week scan in January. I then had an awful time with failed medical management then successful medical management but ending up in A&E.
I am over the moon to be pregnant again and very very grateful but at the moment it doesn't feel real and I'm just terrified it will happen again (also had a mmc in 2011).
All being well this will be out third. I also have a 3 year old and a very feisty 19 month old. Due date is 29 jan.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 24/05/2015 20:56

Hi Romeo! Congratulations!

onefootinthebed · 24/05/2015 21:24

Evening guys, first time I've logged on for days I have the worst cold in one nostril only which is crazy,I feel like I've been asleep for days and I'm going back to bed in a minute. Hope you are all well.

Wellcome Romeo and congratulations .

gennibugs · 25/05/2015 00:04

Congratulations Romeo!!!

Hope we are all well and enjoying the bank hol
