How are you doing this morning Heaven?

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 04/03/2015 09:50

Morning all! How is everyone today?

I have an early scan booked for Monday afternoon, which will put me at 6+4. I'm still driving myself mad over the lack of morning sickness, but I think I've lost all touch with what's normal because I only have hyperemesis experiences to compare this pregnancy with.

When did sickness start for everyone else?

gingerbreadmam · 04/03/2015 10:16

somesort im 7+2 officially (think im bit further on) i dont have morning sickness as such. i get nausea from time to time but its not regular. i think sometimes you just dont get it or its not as bad as you expect so you think you havent got it if makes sense.

exciting news for the scan. i have booking in today after a very complicated mmc last time, im wondering if the may offer me an early scan. not sure if i want one or not though leaning more towards no tbh but i guess thats because im worried about bad news.

SomeSort after 2 MC's I'm 14 weeks - this time around I had no sickness, cravings, food aversions etc just mega bloating. Even had some bleeding and upset stomach and was convinced this one was going the same way as the first two - complete shock when the 12 week scan showed everything's good Smile
Good luck with your scan xxx

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 04/03/2015 10:34

That's a good point about it not being what I'm used to - I feel a bit sick now but I put it down to having not eaten yet and possibly from venturing in AIBU this morning with a thread of my own, which was a stupid idea. I should have posted in special needs chat, but never mind!

Good luck with your booking in appointment Gingerbreadmam. I know the feeling, but overall, I think I'd rather know. My booking in appointment is the day after my early scan.

broodylicious · 04/03/2015 10:55

Absolutely effing delighted to say that 20 week anomaly scan this morning revealed baby "has nothing to be concerned about and is looking perfectly healthy" Smile Measurements in keeping with dates. Had a very long few minutes as the sonographer took what seemed a life time looking very closely at the heart but she finally said all looked fine. There was quite a lot of moving me about and I had to get up and do a jiggle so we could get the measurements but so relieved everything was wonderfully normal. We didn't find out the sex as we want a surprise but I do have a sneaky suspicion it could be a boy - haven't said anything to dh just in case he didn't spot it. Eek. Might start enjoying this all now!

gingerbreadmam · 04/03/2015 10:59

oh gosh have you had some 'helpful' responses. this place can be hard at times.

well feeling sick when hungry is a symptom Grin as i say its when you read what everyone else if having you wonder why you arent.

thank you. i guess im so scared as with mmc i waited 2 wks between scans then they wanted me to wait another 2 wks to see if mc naturally then i had failed medical management and ended up with emergency erpc with some horrible manual interventions inbetween. i figure this time if things arent right i would rather it happened naturally without my knowledge than me go through all that waiting and uncertainty again.

gingerbreadmam · 04/03/2015 10:59

ooh thats lovely news broody

Mslad · 04/03/2015 11:15

Oh broody what brilliant news! I'm thrilled for you. Smile the 20 week scan going well is just the best feeling!

somesort I also drove myself mad with lack of symptoms, but from what I read here and many other threads, every pregnancy is really different, and no symptoms doesn't mean bad news. I had more symptoms with my mmc than this time round.

Broody that's lovely news xxx

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 04/03/2015 13:40

I teared up reading that, Broody. Brilliant news! I hope it's reassuring for you and that you can enjoy everything a bit more now.

I take back what I said about being worried I've not had morning sickness, because I feel really queasy. Hurrah! AND I've had something to eat too. Still queasy. Never thought I'd be pleased to be feeling ill, but I am.

Littlelady33 · 04/03/2015 14:11

Broody that's wonderful news hurrah and here's to enjoying the last 20wks!

broody what brilliant news. You should get a few days at least of reassurance from that great scan.

some sort I've been a bit queasy this afternoon too. ..... Loving it

Treaclepie19 · 04/03/2015 15:25

Joining the queasy club.
I haven't been sick since Sunday and only been sick twice this pregnancy. Felt fine this morning and actually ate lunch but now I don't feel so good... :)
At least feeling ill makes me think baby might be ok.
2 weeks til my scan.

thesmallbear · 04/03/2015 17:25

Brilliant new Broody Smile

thesmallbear · 04/03/2015 17:26

*news even!

broodylicious · 04/03/2015 18:16

Thanks everyone. I promise to try and be positive and enjoy the next 20 weeks now Grin xx

Littlelady33 · 04/03/2015 19:35

Broody I think you've earned it! I'm terrified about my 20wk scan on Tuesday despite telling myself the chances are it will all be fine. I'm going to allow myself to buy at least one baby related item afterwards - no idea what (this being my first and not letting myself get excited!) but something!

Boozle80 · 04/03/2015 19:55

Hurray Broody amazing news! We're heading in the right direction!
In other news my OH has finally proposed - all very happy and smiley, followed by the announcement the wedding is on Easter Monday - he'd booked in a meeting with the vicar who only has that date avaliable before the small person comes. Unless we want to wait until right to the end when I'll be massive. So all systems go in the house of Boozle!
