Huge congratulations silver hope you're enjoying those precious early moments. Lovely name too ( it's also on our list- great taste!) Xxx

tannyLoo · 03/03/2015 09:48

Sweep done! Let's see what happens. ..

HollyBen · 03/03/2015 10:16

Congratulations silver. I hope you are recovering well. x

Fingers crossed tanny x

No real signs of labour here except a bit of a show. I am off to hospital to be induced today. Scan at 1130, then ward at 1230. I am dreading it, but looking forward to meeting baby

tannyLoo · 03/03/2015 10:29

Ooh holly, lots of luck, and hopefully the show means it won't take too much to get going!

broodylicious · 03/03/2015 13:20

Good luck holly!! I remember you were one of the First Ladies to get a bfp when I was on the ttc after mc thread so sending you - and tanny - millions of positive, calming and "you can do it" vibes xx

StickChildNumberTwo · 03/03/2015 13:30

Can I sneak in and hide in a corner somewhere please? Am in v early stages of pregnancy having miscarried twice last year and I'm a bit of a wibbly wreck, and could do with the company.

It's so good to hear news of babies arriving - congratulations and good luck as appropriate. Gives me hope that it is possible that this might work out OK - at the moment I'm mostly waiting to see how long till it all goes wrong again.

northdownmummy · 03/03/2015 14:03

Just told my boss that prwgnant so I can get time off for my early scan next week.

Every time I say it out loud I worry that I'm jinxing things

StickChildNumberTwo · 03/03/2015 14:15

I'm glad it's not just me. I said it out loud a couple of times to tell people I wanted to know because they'll be the ones who hold me together if (not the when I just typed) it all goes wrong. It seemed so strange and scary to actually say it.

ReverseTheTrend · 03/03/2015 14:50

Horrible back ache today

Last time it was this bad was just before I mc

You can just have backache in pregnancy and all be ok right? Only 6 weeks if that makes any difference

Treaclepie19 · 03/03/2015 15:00

You definitely can get back pain Reverse, ive had days where I've been sure I was going to miscarry again. Especially early on and now I'm 11+2.
Sending hugs!

I'm counting down the days til my scan. 15 to go :/

reverse it was my main first trimester symptom with dd so try not to worry.

Very excited about our imminent thread babies. Good luck both of you!

Feeling a bit better about diabetes as first readings have been fine, despite huge indian meal for dh's birthday. Can cope with no sugar if I can have some fruit and carbs.

northdownmummy · 03/03/2015 16:21

reverse I'm certainly hoping so. I've had that lower back ache which I assosiate with AF being imminent for a few days now.

I just keep reminding myself that there's lots of stretching going on.

Treaclepie19 · 03/03/2015 17:07

I'm having cramps too now, must be sympathy cramps! Lower tummy as well as back.
Ho hum, the worrying never stops!

I think I mentioned the other day that I planted a rose for the baby we lost last February 27 to mark the first anniversary of his death. Bit sad but thought you'd like to see it xx

Congratulations Silver! I had a forceps delivery with DS, be careful to pace yourself and rest as much as possible, ok? I wish someone had told me that!

Good luck Holly! So exciting!

Broody, that's a beautiful rose.

I am 5+5 today, going by ovulation date, or 6+1 going by the date of my last period. The EPU told me to call up and ask for an early scan when I'm 6 weeks.

Do you think I'm ok to call tomorrow? It's a weird sort of set-up, you can just drop in (or you used to be able to) so there's every possibility that if I call tomorrow, they'll ask if I can call in. Is that too early to see anything on a scan?

I'm having massive wibbles. My boobs are still sore and I'm exhausted, but I'm worried I haven't had any nausea or vomiting. I had hyperemesis twice and I'm fairly certain it started around 5 weeks when I was pregnant with DS and I can't remember when it started with my first pregnancy, possibly a little later. I'm terrified I've had a mmc, if I'm being honest, and I know it's because an early scan is imminent.

HeavenKnowsImNotSoMiserable · 03/03/2015 20:07

I'm cramping too now, and have achey back and hips. Hopefully it's just first trimester niggles, but damn I'd love a crystal ball to see a couple of months into the future.

Treaclepie19 · 03/03/2015 21:04

Broody that's lovely xxx

Somesort I'd say by 6 weeks you can normally see.
I had an external at 6+4 and was dated at 6 weeks with a tiny little heartbeat.

I'm going to ring and see when they want me to go in.

Ugh I'd been sort of enjoying the fact that my sickness had got worse but I read on a forum just about someone whose doctor said it's not really normal for it to start this late and they just had a bladder infection.

My urine is being sent off for testing tomorrow anyway but now I've got myself in a tizz.

Congratulations Silver wonderful news. Good luck hollyben and tanny.

My calmness after my 12 week scan has lasted all of a week and I'm now back panicking again. I have another scan tomorrow scheduled at the RMC unit which was booked in case I didn't get my dating scan locally, but I think I'm going to go anyway so I can relax again for another while.

This is complete worry all the time is exhausting!! Think I am going to go to my bed and do 5 sessions of headspace and see if I can blitz my anxiety Grin

CommanderShepard · 03/03/2015 21:56

Congratulations silver!

treacle I don't think that doctor's right - most people I know found that 10-12 weeks was the worst. Certainly is for me and was with DD too.

Here's a really delightful side effect of having had my gallbladder taken out: I spew copious amounts of luminous yellow bile in the morning - way more than I have ever done before. I thought something was horribly wrong with me until I told the midwife who gently pointed out that I don't store it in my handy little gallbladder anymore so it's hardly surprising. Doh.

DD asked DH if I was going to go away forever like our cat who died just after new year. He said absolutely not and she was fine with that, but I sobbed for hours when he told me. She's only 2.10 and this is so hard on her. I want to be super happy funtimes mummy again! I hope I can be soon.

Treaclepie19 · 03/03/2015 22:12

Oh cava it's such a worrying time it's no surprise!

That's what I thought commander, I'll keep taking it as a good sign :) while I sit hear trying not to heave

Sounds like you're having a tough time too, sending lots of hugs x
