DH and I have worked out this weird way of detaching a bit, which helps both of us. We can talk about my pregnancy. We can talk about having a baby in the future. We can't talk about this pregnancy resulting in a baby.

Hi all
maverick so so sorry to hear to hear the news, especially with your premonition of twins being true... Sad Defo push for a consultant appointment, they should be able to do at least the basic tests. Do take care and hope you get back on here soon.

treacle FX for tomorrow, no reason to be anything other than positive Wink

blank happy due day! Hope you don't have much longer to wait. Keep us updated on the labour signs and of course when your lo is finally here! Smile

38+3 here and feeling like a whale, especially with my legs so swollen and thunder thighs! Hope it's mostly water retention Blush. Defo ready for baby now, although I don't mind waiting till due date (but no longer!!) Smile

crochet is evil and I am convinced that some sort of voodoo magic is involved.... I can knit though!

Good luck Treacle

Boozle80 · 20/02/2015 08:32

Hehe, my OH loves both knitting and crocheting - he taught himself last year to crochet me a scarf for Christmas! In other news, did you know there's a sequel to wolf Hall Tanny, think it's called bring up the bodies - I just heard about it and it made me think of you :)

Boozle80 · 20/02/2015 08:32

Let us know how you get on Treacle. Exciting!

Morning all, I'm just popping in to say hi. I mc in Sept and have been getting BFPs this week, I think I'm 3/4 weeks. Am currently both elated and crapping myself. Can't wait for the 2nd trimester!

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 09:55

Ha boozle! At this rate I'll still be pg when it comes out! 38+3 and time is going backwards...

Good luck treacle!

Littlelady33 · 20/02/2015 10:49

Btw speaking of wolf hall are any of you watching it?? This week's episode (I'm not giving much away since we all know the story I guess) prompted horrendous late MC dreams I could have done without. Woke up wondering if it was my hormones, a premonition then remembered that no, I'm just overly identifying with Anne Boleyn...

longestlurkerever · 20/02/2015 10:52

Good luck treacle! I am loving wolf hall too tanny. Really felt for Anne Boleyn though when she had her second mc and they were all treating her like reject goods.

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 10:55

Yes Little, somehow brings home the reality that she must have gone through some really shitty times. Am loving it though...

longestlurkerever · 20/02/2015 10:56

Crossed posts little.

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 11:01

Sunbathing for me it's the last few! Each day I panic that it's going to be stillborn. But that also assumes that there will be an end point! Doesn't feel like it... Angry

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 20/02/2015 11:17

Good luck today Treacle.

Welcome and congratulations Heaven!

I plucked up the courage today to ring our booking line. Someone will call me in the next few days to arrange my first midwife appointment for around 8 wks, but when I gave my history, they put me through to the EPU who said if I call back when I'm 6 wks, they'll do a scan for me. I'm so happy with that, I could cry.

silverine · 20/02/2015 11:21

Thanks a lot sunbathing, hope so. DH has another week of work, so can just about wait that long, but hope he won't be late. Will be such a relief to see him arrive safely and healthy... after 9 months of constant worry.
how are you getting on tanny? Any tightenings? I get them quite a lot and find movements quieten down which can be disconcerting...

silverine · 20/02/2015 11:29

Crosspost tanny, that's my main worry too... along with any genetic anomalies that may have not shown (as the high NT measurement is still at the back of my mind tbh...)
somesort great that they were understanding about the early scan. Welcome heaven wishing you plain sailing 8 months.

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 11:35

Glad I'm not alone with that silver, I think we spend so long being sure something will go wrong it becomes a bit ingrained. Just keep checking for movements and try to relax! I'm on rescue remedy pastilles at the moment, which I'm sure are just placebos but they help...

Went to JoJoMamanBeBe today. Had to get present ready for sister-in-law and also picked up a dress for me. Still feels odd looking at maternity wear not having got to that stage last time.
Have to say though, maternity trousers are really comfortable!
