Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone is due in the next couple of weeks and wants to keep a thread of how they're feeling, their daily struggles or keep updated with labour stories etc?!

I'm 38+0 and have been having niggles for a week or so. I have mild polyhydramnios and have been told to expect baby anytime soon, although some days I don't feel pregnant and feel I still have ages to go!

How're you feeling and have you had any signs that your LO will be making an appearance anytime soon?

Oh! I thought it was an unexpected wee wee! But even so, it's still not your fault!!

Same old same old from me. Cramping etc. last night which stopped at about 1am. Woken up shattered but fine!

How's everyone else? x

okeydonkey · 15/02/2015 12:12

Clary sage oil in small amount of milk to disperse put in bath. Or burn on oil burner. This is supposed to bring on contractions. I used it last week and had pains from sun to wed. Stopped now and I'm not using it again til40 weeks.

hazel88 · 15/02/2015 12:13

Grrrrr it's so frustrating! I thought I had a contraction last night but it was just the one and eased off. No more tightenings, cramps or anything for me at the mo Hmm had a good go on the ball yesterday which resulted in nothing but an aching nooni! Convinced I'll be pregnant forever!

Disclaimer: Don't use before 37 weeks!! Or check with midwife ?

MrsCorr · 15/02/2015 12:48

No baby but had the most amazing nights sleep last night. From about 12.30 until 10 this morning & I only woke up then because I was bursting! Feel so refreshed for a change Grin
It's my mil's birthday tomorrow & my fil's on Wednesday so I'm half hoping baby will stay put until Thursday so he has his own birthday (also half hoping this will backfire on me & he'll arrive in the next few days) .

hazel88 · 15/02/2015 12:51

Haha. Wow I can't remember the last time I slept like that! So envious! I'm only managing a few hours at a time, and everyone's comments of 'well your body is just preparing for the lack of sleep you're about to start getting' is REALLY not helping!! Angry

I know what you mean Blank, I feel quite wild with it sometimes!

Feeling really rubbish today, no energy at all, Braxton hicks and back pain, and painful pressure down below. I'm waddling about feeling like she might just fall out at any momentBlush

bambi07 · 15/02/2015 16:20

Also still preggers but cramping all night, stopped in morning and bloody shattered! Come on babies! X

Cherryblossom200 · 15/02/2015 21:05

Hello ladies!! Smile

Still no babies!! How are you all doing?? I thought at least one of you would have had your bundle of joy now?! Clearly happy in their little homes at the mo!

I'm still in hospital with Amélie as we both got an infection from my waters breaking early to time of delivery. So won't be going home until earliest Wednesday Confused but to be fair the hospital is great and midwives really supportive and helpful. My advice, if you can...stay the night! Get all the help you can as invaluable! Amélie is breast feeding like a trooper now, without their help I would have been bloody clueless!

I'm wishing you all good luck that your labours start tonight.

Cherry xxx Flowers

Zsazsabinks · 15/02/2015 21:09

I know everyone wants to rush home after the baby but I think it makes a huge difference if you can ring the bell every time you go to breastfeed. It's ALL about the latch! if someone helps you to get that right, you're laughing! Congrats Cherry, hope you're feeling Ok after the infection.

My goodness I want this baby out NOW!!!

hazel88 · 15/02/2015 21:32

Oh no, sorry to hear that Cherry Thanks hope you're not feeling too bad. Glad to hear Amelie is doing well Smile

Hear, hear, getting fed up of waiting! Where IS this baby?!

Hey Ladies. Went in for induction on Friday 13th at 10am but didn't get in for actual induction till 9.45pm! They popped my waters, had a good walk about n regular contractions started at 12.30am, and my Freddie was born at 4.30am on Valentines Day Smile it got quite scary as I dilated from 6cms to fully within mins, wasn't nice at all, he weighed 10lb 2oz few stitches needed as his head was OP presentation. Had a stay over night as he pooped in me, got home today at 12ish where he was met by his big brother n sisters, everyone adores him. Feeding, sleeping n pooping well Grin. Daddy is staying downstairs with Freddie tonight so I can get some much needed sleep, I'm shattered. I hope you ladies are doing well? I need to have a read through to catch up with you all. Take care. Wishing everyone all the best xxx

hazel88 · 15/02/2015 23:09

Congratulations Jodie! Nice big boy you've got there!

It's great to hear from you cherry, I know it won't be long until I'm in your shoes so nice to hear the advice. Im going to try breastfeeding so love hearing positive stories Grin

I'm now overdue by 2 days (nearly midnight so 3 days) and still no signs of baby Hmm hoping to have something happen after my sweep on Wednesday. Any good news stories about sweeps ladies? My midwife said they work about half of the time so fingers crossed it works for me Grin

bambi07 · 15/02/2015 23:31

Congratulations Jodie glad to hear you are home and happy. Smile
Hope it's not too long for you too Cherry but pleased to hear feeding is going well. What beautiful names you have both chosen, I still can't decide. Smile x

MrsCorr, I'll be 39+6 on Wednesday and will also be having a sweep. I had slight cramping last night and stupidly thought things were kicking off but all back to normal this morning.
Love to know chances of a sweep working!

blankfornames · 16/02/2015 07:15

p.s..Congrats Jodie! We'll be coming to you for tips!
