Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone is due in the next couple of weeks and wants to keep a thread of how they're feeling, their daily struggles or keep updated with labour stories etc?!

I'm 38+0 and have been having niggles for a week or so. I have mild polyhydramnios and have been told to expect baby anytime soon, although some days I don't feel pregnant and feel I still have ages to go!

How're you feeling and have you had any signs that your LO will be making an appearance anytime soon?

Grinningcat have you had a sweep yet? If you haven't and you want one, insist on it on Tuesday. They're a little uncomfortable but over and done with super quick and it gives you hope that things could get moving sooner! I have another tomorrow.

Grinning don't be too down I think they will do a sweep pretty sharpish if you want one. My mum is a midwife and will do them on request as much as possible. I'm due Wednesday and I think I'm a bit strange as I have said I don't want a sweep. Although am starting to change my mind a bit, was so convinced she would come early but doesn't look like it now.

Blanks huge congrats !! Yay more babies!

Hazel thank you, me and Amélie are doing great thanks. Just very tired ha! The fun definitely begins when they are out! Get loads of rest now you will need it! xx

Grinningcat · 22/02/2015 11:06

Thanks hazel I will ask if she doesn't offer. I had a different Mw at my 38 week appt as mine was on a course and I did wonder if it would normally be discussed then so I was going to go to Tuesday's appt mentally prepared anyway. I'm not really down just bored and restless. I'd like to get out and do some gardening, but I get exhausted as I have a tendency to do too much. Might go out and supervise DH cleaning out the chickens. He will love that Grin.

hazel88 · 22/02/2015 11:40

Grinningcat I've heard delegation is great, you get loads done but don't feel exhausted after Wink

Bambi I was convinced I'd be early too, wishful thinking eh?!

Well ladies I hope we all make some progress sharpish! This waiting malarkey is rubbish! I fear for the safety of those around me the longer this goes on- I've run out of fingers and toes to count how many people over the past couple of days have made hilarious remarks about them getting impatient that I haven't had the baby yet Angry First few hundred times I could see the funny side, now not so much....

I'm off to clean the house then put my feet up with a large cuppa and a family size bar of aero. I've resigned myself to the fact that my LO won't be arriving before her eviction date, so making the most of some time to relax Grin

Think something might be happening here Smile been awake since 4 this morning with cramps & possible contractions. They're not unbearable but definitely sore & getting worse! Have spoken to maternity unit & they told me not to go in until they're 3 mins apart, said this part could go on for days Shock feeling positive though, hopefully won't need to be induced now.
Will keep you all posted Grin
Congrats to blank & welcome to kitkat, hope something happens for you soon Smile

hazel88 · 22/02/2015 11:41

Thanks for the welcome everyone :)
just been on another walk that seems to have done nothing except given me sore legs! I look so ridiculous waddling along as well! Fingers crossed for surprise action for anyone waiting today!! X

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 11:56

Ooh Mrs Corr, exciting times! Keep us posted!

Kat welcome! I only joined a couple of days ago, but am behind you date wise so will probably be behind you with baby news!

Hazel feeling a bit more resigned myself. My last DS was born by this stage, but not even a twinge at the moment. After I finish this raspberry leaf tea I'm going to fold and put away clothes. The one job I can't delegate as he is rubbish at it...

Zsazsabinks · 22/02/2015 12:11

Ohhhh, Mrs Corr! This could well be 'it'. Rest up and keep us posted. Everything crossed for you! xx

Dogsmom · 22/02/2015 12:47

Hi everyone,
Can I join?
I'm 39 weeks today and also sick of waiting and looking for any sign.

I was 1cm on Thursday and 50% effaced so had a sweep followed by lovely cramps for a few hours but they've all stopped, it's made me lose my plug though.

All through this pregnancy I've thought she'd arrive on 26th Feb which is this coming Thursday, 3 days early, so maybe I was right??

Today would be a bit of an inconvenience though because I'm just about to wallpaper the kitchen Smile

Hope everyone is feeling ok, it'll be lovely to read about a few births on here.x

bambi07 · 22/02/2015 13:33

Ohh exciting MrsCorr, Good luck, more potential baby news so exciting!
Welcome Dogsmum, Im due on the 25th so maybe our little ones will share a birthday, no signs she is immenent yet though!

Hope others are having some luck too, fingers crossed. x

bambi07 · 22/02/2015 14:02

Apologies for tmi but either having a clear out or have sudden food poisoning! Been on the toilet a few times today but holy crap, its just stepped up a gear!

Pregnancy and all the joyess glamour, never felt so sexy in all my life! x

bambi07 · 22/02/2015 14:03

Sounds like clearing out bambi! Good sign!

BigCatFace · 22/02/2015 16:00

Still nothing here today, got a sweep tomorrow. I think I've gained more weight from sheer boredom eating in the past few weeks than I have the whole pregnancy :(

MrsCorr · 22/02/2015 16:08

Update : waters broke about an hour ago ?? contractions about 3-4 mins apart now & getting stronger. Still not unbearable but getting there! Heading to hospital shortly to check if I'm in active labour, if not I'll be home again. Will try to keep you ladies up to date, wish me luck! Smile

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 16:16

Mrs Corr thanks for keeping us updated! Sounds like we could be in for a busy couple of days... Keep the updates coming...

hazel88 · 22/02/2015 16:31

bambi07 · 22/02/2015 16:35

Having some irregular twinges but nothing substantial, I am expecting it all to settle down again because I have been here before! X

Cherryblossom200 · 22/02/2015 16:43
