Last thread ended with a series of Really Good News, so let's hope this one keeps up the trend!

OP posts:

Commander it's good that the bleeding is stopping, some blood after and internal scan isn't uncommon. Almost 14 weeks here and very far from glowing in the baby moon trimester! Sitting at my desk trying desperately not to throw up ahead of a client conference call

Treaclepie19 · 21/01/2015 12:11

Hope all goes well sunbathing :)

Well done on taking the time you need commander :)

charlieis30 · 21/01/2015 13:16

littlelady awaiting my glow as well. 5 new spots popped up overnight (5! Really? 5?!?!) but glad the nausea is nearly gone.

Obviously now I'm all paranoid, really don't feel preg at the moment. Too early to show, to early to feel anything, but symptoms abating. argh.

14w tomorrow though, wahey! Today I am pregnant!

Mummytogoldie · 21/01/2015 14:06

Is anybody else feeling exhausted? I am 7 weeks and just want to fall asleep constantly :( I have my booking in appt tomorrow so hoping for some answers x I don't remember being this tired with dd1 and dd2

mummytogoldie totally normal. I work from home and spent most of first tri in bed. Contemplating an afternoon nap right now actually...

silverine · 21/01/2015 14:58

sunbathing that's exactly what I keep saying about wishing I had a window on my tummy I can keep peeking through rather than having to bed for scans all the time!
Had my 34 week check up with the GP today. Blood pressure, urine, measurements and HB all looking ok and he's 90% certain baby is head down, which is good.
Thankfully he was more sympathetic towards my scanoholic tendencies and gave me a referral to a consultant to discuss stopping the aspirin and hopefully having a presentation scan. FX
Waves to all!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/01/2015 15:09

Just developed a throbby pain in my left side. Should I worry?

Phryn · 21/01/2015 15:31

DoctorDN could just be stretching/growing pains. I had weird pangs and throbs in the early stages but my 20 week scan on Tues revealed a healthy little boy growing exactly as he should be.

Keep an eye on it, try and take today /this evening easy if you can but if you've had your booking in appt you could ring the midwife to check in if it continues.

Am not sure where my glow is. My Nan thinks I look better than I did and Christmas and I'm a bit less spotty but still getting some and trying to get the Bloomin red marks I'm left with to go down. Not the fresh face glow I'd been led to believe!

Sunbathing thinking of you for tomorrow. It's such a worry but you'll know very soon and the chances are really good that everything with be absolutely fine Flowers

shinjuku09 · 21/01/2015 15:35

Am totally behind on this thread! Name changed from BB01 as RL friends were starting to work out who I was on the local threads, and then had a problem and couldn't log in for ages. Am about five weeks and counting down the days till first scan. Mw just confirmed they don't do early scans due to a previous mc round here so probably going private though not sure how long it'll reassure me for! Tori I feel just the same re the due date of the one I lost. I can't help thinking about it and think it's just natural to. Hope everyone is doing well and not too anxious.
Rebecca symptoms definitely come and go, as worrying as it can be.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/01/2015 15:44

It's faded now so assuming growing pains of some sort. Hate this waiting. 5 +5 today feels like time is going more quickly this time!

HollyBen · 21/01/2015 15:56

Pregnancy glow is a myth in my opinion. I felt truely awful for the first 16 weeks, a bit better (but not great) up till around 28 weeks and have felt permanently exhausted since then. DH has said I was glowing a couple of times but I think that's more to do the whole big bump/we're having a baby thing than anything else.

6 days to work before using some annual leave then maternity leave starts.....

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/01/2015 16:11

So my head of department has guessed!
He is now sworn to secrecy. At least I know my symptoms are obvious!

Thepurplegiraffe · 21/01/2015 17:15

Good luck for tomorrow Sunbathing, hope it all goes well.

I am having some serious wobbles here having felt movement weeks ago and nothing since. I am 15 1/2 weeks so I know it is early but it is my 2nd and I'm pretty sure what I felt a few weeks back was movement. I am becoming slightly obsessed so thinking about just coughing up for a reassurance scan but part of me feels silly. I am also scared of going there and hearing the worst, far better to feel some movement and just know it's ok...

silverine · 21/01/2015 17:37

Sunbathing I meant to mention good luck for tomorrow too!
(and also should read 'beg for scans' not 'bed for scans'! God forbid I ever need to be that desperate! Grin)

HollyBen · 21/01/2015 18:18

purplegiraffe I felt some movement early on but it was really sporadic. Even for a second 15 weeks is still early. Baby is so small thete us lots of room to move about it. Do you have a date for 20 week scan? Perhaps ring your midwife for some reassurance

longestlurkerever · 21/01/2015 19:03

purple I didn't feel anything till around 16 weeks this time (it's my second too) and it is still sporadic at nearly 22 weeks. I invested in a doppler at 14 weeks which took the edge off my panic when I finally found the hb (panic stations for a good 15 mins. It works much better now).

pocopearl · 21/01/2015 19:05

Hey may I oin, I had mc end of last year and never really accepted that I was pg. Now am 4+6 last day or 2 has really hit me that I had a mc. So worried now with every kind of pain etc, Dr Google does not help. I could really do with developing a pma.

worriedmum100 · 21/01/2015 19:23

Hi poco - I'm 4+6 too.

The anxiety is hard to deal but the ladies on this thread are lovely and supportive. No worry too small or ridiculous for a hand hold.

I'm just waiting to see my GP for the pointless hello I'm pregnant appointment.

Symptoms still quite mild but feel a bit comforted that I turned a clear blue digital to 3+ today after getting 2-3 weeks on Monday. Reassures me things going in right general direction.

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 21/01/2015 19:39

Hope all is well commander.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, reading all the positivity is making me feel better!

Today my sore boobs have come back with a vengeance, so that's reassuring for me ! Just need the twelve week mark to get here and have the scan over and done with. That's going to be the worst as that's when I discovered I had mc last time. However I think I might have a scan next week as I have a gyanae appointment as I've suffered a lot of pain in my right side since my erpc ( has taken the hosp 6 months to decide to see me!! ) not sure how much would show at 6 weeks and just praying it will all be normal!!
Baaaah why can't we all have happy normal pregnancies hey ladies!

pocopearl · 21/01/2015 19:42

Quick visit to this group i think. Just been to the loo and streaked with bright red :'( Got to be a record I reckon, less than hour membership :(

tannyLoo · 21/01/2015 19:55

Poco, really hope you're wrong, but can completely understand your anxiety. If I were you I would go to your GP in the morning, as EPUs will usually only see people post 6 weeks. At the very least you will need to log both pregnancies with them, so if (god forbid) you have another mc, it will count as three and you can have some tests. I really hope it isn't a MC, and quite a lot of us have had early bleeding and everything has been fine in the end. Good luck!

Mslad · 21/01/2015 20:19

I've just been catching up on today's thread - Oh Poc I really hope it's not bad news. Could it be implementation blood? or hopefully 'one of those things'? fingers crossed for you.

Commander how are you?

Best of luck in the morning sunbathing I'll be thinking of you. I was a nervous wreck before my 20 week scan. Did you have a gender scan recently?
