Treacle I often find ooh drs to be a bit useless. I once went with chest pain and he asked me if I wanted him to call an ambulance. Me: Erm do you think I need one? (Alarmed). Him: I don't know. Do you? Me: well I didn't before but if you don't know I guess I am worried now. End result: nothing wrong with me. How bad is the pain? Go to a and e if you're worried. Otherwise try normal gp tomorrow. Implantation pain is quite common.

longest no I have nothing else planned which is probably another reason I am starting to go mad, we usually have a really busy calendar and due to wanting to rest and take it easy we have nothing scheduled! My DH doesn't even want to go on holiday now which I usually spend months planning as I'm on my treatment plan until 34 weeks so he has taken that to mean I'll be high risk whole way through...

Think I might start that 50 books in 52 weeks challenge I saw on another thread to keep me occupied Confused

I'm going to go nuts over the next few months!!Grin

Treaclepie19 · 11/01/2015 13:32

Thank you ladies.
sunbathing from what I've read and people have advised, i think I'd be having bleeding and other symptoms. I'm going to go to the gp tomorrow and try to get referred to the epu as she will know best what the best course of action is. I have a good gp.
Plus I'm at work and can't just go wait around at the epu.

KellyBird1980 · 11/01/2015 16:01

Sorry to hear about your experience with the Dr Treacle that sounds awful.

I took a digital test on Friday PM which said 1-2 weeks and another one on sat morning (first pee of the day tmi) which said 2 - 3 weeks so I'm thinking 2 weeks is right.

The first day of my last AF was 11th Dec so I'm guessing Drs would date me at 4 + 3 but I have a pretty good idea of our conception date which was the 27th of Dec so I think 2 weeks is actually more accurate.

I haven't been to see a Dr yet or arrange a booking appt. etc - kind of want to wait a few meow weeks x

KellyBird1980 · 11/01/2015 16:02

Meow = more lol

Treaclepie19 · 11/01/2015 16:44

That's good, seems like you're right on track! :)
I'm not sure when to test again. Should be able to get my 2-3 at some point in the week but I might wait til next sunday. That way it might even be 3+.

longestlurkerever · 11/01/2015 16:54

Presumably the digital tests mean since conception? Drs date your pregnancy from the date of your last period (or when your period would have been if you had a 28 day cycle so 2 weeks since conception = 4 weeks pregnant. Good that the tests are showing an increase anyway.

charlieis30 · 11/01/2015 17:27

re testing again and again, im not a fan... if for some reason it doesnt go up /line darken you might freak out unnecessarily. dh has always confiscated my stash as soon as i got a bfp... as he is fond of saying, "what, are you going to test and test until you get a result you DON'T want?". if you're really worried, try to get your gp to do the 48h bloods which are more accurate than any hpt is going to be. otherwise try to remind yourself "today i am pregnant"

Hi ladies and welcome to all the newbies. Really nice to see you here treacle, I think we were on the ttc threat together at one point.

I have one piece of advice for you all - hold on tight, it's a hell of a ride! The thing with us pg ladies after mc is that we will worry about every single thing - pain or no pain (I had lots of early stabby pains by the way), bleed or no bleed, sickness or no sickness (mine went pretty early), movement or no movement (also hit and miss), etc. And guess what, all of this is normal. You can have all the pg symptoms in the world and it might be delayed mc or you can have no symptoms at all and everything will be fine. All we can do is follow our treatment plans (if ones in place) and hope!

If you have any wobbles, remember the 'today I am pregnant' posifrickentivity mantra and have a peek at the stat list at all the lovely baby outcomes.

I am now 33 weeks and never thought I would get here. Even now I still worry: about movements, growth, positioning, labour and if, even if baby is born without complications, whether he will be healthy etc... It never ends. But hey - as I said, hold on tight.

One of my Christmas presents was a bump photo session voucher - hope these will cheer everyone up! x

Hi silverine :)
What a lovely post. I'm trying to keep that in my head, "today I am pregnant" :)

silverine · 11/01/2015 18:37

And of course, wishing everyone sticky beans and lovely healthy babies - we'll all get there in the end, I'm sure! Wink

broodylicious · 11/01/2015 18:45

Spot on silver. I ignorantly sailed through my first pg with dd (ms, SPD and a few complications but nothing crazy). Then I mc in February and a whole new world opened up. This pg, everything is a total worry and I know I'm going to be a high maintenance patient because I will be panicking over everything. It's horrid how mc is still playing with our heads months and months on. I keep thinking the same that today I am pg, I'm not bleeding, I must be ok.

12+3 today. Scan on Wednesday shitting it

I echo silver - wise words lovely!

Treacle I have had a threatened ectopic, and a scan at 4 weeks would show if there was a sac forming in your uterus. I had a scan that early which showed no sac. My HCG was only rising slowly, which is another sign of ectopic, and I had one sided pain, but no bleeding. As it was, it was a blighted ovum, which finally appeared about a week after my first scan. I'm sure a scan would be able to confirm a sac in the right place, which is a good start...

As silver says, there are so many twinges and aches and pains that are a normal part of healthy pg, and I had one sided pain with this pg, and all is fine.

Today You Are Pregnant!

Babytinx11 · 11/01/2015 19:07

Well said silver beautiful pics too :)
33 weeks tomorrow which means 5 weeks till they start nagging baby to make her appearance it's finally starting to feel real and really scary

Treaclepie19 · 11/01/2015 19:24

Thanks tanny, I'll go and see my own doctor tomorrow and see what she says.

silverine · 11/01/2015 20:26

Thanks all, and thanks baby, exactly the same as you. 7 weeks till edd sounds SO soon! And I have a feeling he might try and make an early appearance. Are you nervous? I suppose as you have your DS, you sort of know what to expect.
I haven't had a scan or consultant appt since 20 weeks and getting a few wobbles, mainly about what position the baby and cord are in. Really not trusting midwives palpating at 36 weeks, so far they've been unsure, so hopefully they'll send me for a scan at 36 weeks. "Hello, my name is silverine and I'm a scanoholic..." Blush

tannyLoo · 11/01/2015 21:47

Scanaholic is my new favourite, now ahead of scanxiety, thanks Silver!

I'm a day behind you, and 33 weeks on Tuesday. I have a consultant appt next Thursday, when I'll be 34 weeks, and hoping for a sneaky peak, as he was concerned about a low lying placenta.

I am kind of hoping for a 38 weeker, like my last one, and have just started on the raspberry leaf tea not at all inpatient.

It's weird. After such an anxious time, I'm finally relaxing enough to think this will happen, and have sorted out my maternity leave and finances, started getting things ready, and making practical plans. What a difference!

To all of you at the early stages, it is such an anxious time. I'm sorry there's no quick way to get past it, but I am sure you will get through this bit. Hopefully it won't take you seven months to relax, but after 5 miscarriages, if I can do it, anyone can!

silverine · 11/01/2015 23:10

tanny I'm hoping for the same at my next appt next Wednesday. I know it's weird but hope there is some minor reason to send me for a scan. FX we both get one Wink
Glad you're feeling much more positive though. I'm also nearly ready. Finished with the buying, just need to get it all organised at home, but found time for a vanity photo shoot today Blush The last stretch now, just praying everything turns out ok and he's healthy!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 12/01/2015 05:35

Hello, everyone. Just got my first BFP since my MMC in December 2013.
I'm 36 and we're still trying to get our first child (married in December 2012).
I'm now really scared. DH says not to be. Any advice on how to try???

worriedmum100 · 12/01/2015 07:46

Hi ladies

Can I tentatively dip my toe into your lovely thread?

Got my bfp on Saturday at 9dpo.

History: I'm 39 and have 1 DS who will be 4 in a few months. I had a m/c at 5 weeks before having him. We've been trying for a sibling for him since he was 1. After a year of trying we had tests. All fine. Kept trying. Nothing. Jan 2014 we went for fertility treatment.BFP on first attempt but m/c at 5 weeks. Endometriosis and severely defective c section scar diagnosed. Had laporoscopy. Fell pg straight after but then had a MMC at 9 weeks.ERPC but retained tissue. Another ERPC. Kept trying. Nothing. More tests. Diagnosed with Ashermans Syndrome. Was due to have a hysteroscopy TODAY but got a BFP on Saturday. phew!

If you're still with me - thank you! If I've learnt anything it's that what will be will be but I can't stop the anxiety. It's still so so early with such a long way to go. I really wish I could enjoy it.

Had a blood test on Saturday which came back with hcg as 15. I think that's ok for only 9dpo but have to have a repeat test on Wednesday. its almost exactly a year since I had the mc following fertility treatment and then my hcg never rose so I knew it was over. Am obsessivelying testing to see if the line darkens Got my first positive on an Internet cheapie today ( positives on FRER, super drug and clear blue (none digital) so far .
