Thanks for all the welcomes :)

Thanks sunbathing, I'm still concerned as I don't know how bad the pains should be. It's a sharp stabbing pain in the left side every so often.
I really don't want to go to the doctors if I don't need to and being so early I'm not sure if they could even find out if it's ectopic yet.

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 19:04

Oh, sorry! Welcome kelly :)

CommanderShepard · 10/01/2015 19:04

Thanks, sunbathingcat - I've changed it. The only GP available on Monday is a miserable sod but I think, given the question marks over what happened last time, best to get things in motion now.

HollyBen · 10/01/2015 19:06

welcome to all the newbie since I last popped in

I had 2 sweeps with DD baby. I started contracting about 12 hours after sweep no 2 and DD was born at 40+11 when I was due to be induced at 40+12. I have read a lot of woman find them really sore but i don't think I found them that bad (I don't actually remember them to be honest). plan for me is similar-sweeps at 39 weeks, recommended induction at term. I still haven't made my mind up on induction but happy to agree to sweeps. I have a second growth scan/consultant apt at 34 weeks to finalise plan.

32+6 today and it is starting to feel real. I am not at all organised apart from decorating nursery, getting boxes of baby stuff out and writing a to do list. Struggling with returned nausea and complete exhaustion so hoping organising can wait until I start mat leave at 36+2

charlieis30 · 10/01/2015 19:08

treacle ive also had cramping on and off the whole time this time, only eased off at around 8 or 9w and has come back at 11w this week. I know its super scary but do try to relax, it must be particularly difficult finding out so early but as you say they wont be able to see anything yet anyway so just remind yourself today i am pregnant!

Thanks guys :) I'll definitely watch for infection sunbathing

I think holly I prefer the idea of induction mainly because everything was so quick with ds I am terrified I won't make it to the hospital but will have to wait and see :)

Littlelady33 · 10/01/2015 19:26

Welcome Kelly and Treacle it's great to see you here after the TTC after MC boards last year - thrilled for you. Well I'm just in the full throes of scanxiety ahead of next week - spending several days with the in laws not massively helping!

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 19:55

Thank you ladies :)
What was your cramping like?
I've got very dull period aches but then a sharp stabbing pain that's come and gone on my left side on the opposite side to where my appendix would be (had it removed when I was 13).
I am so excited but just feel like i can't relax with this sharp pain.

Mummytogoldie · 10/01/2015 20:40

Congratulations treacle I remember you from other boards x could the pain be adhesion pains, have you had previous c sections? I am in a roller coaster today I need it to be Monday to know my hormone levels have risen and I need it to be Friday and see a baby inside the sac :/ I have felt really sick all day today, apart from sudden hunger pans that make me feel even more sick I have pretty much felt like I am going to throw up all day, heartburn as well and very windy ( and I don't mean outside) x

Treaclepie19 · 10/01/2015 20:46

Thanks mummytogoldie :)
Nope this will be my first child hopefully.

Monday will be here before you know it. It's such a hard time isn't it x

cavamonster · 10/01/2015 20:49

A very very nervous lurker here, only 5+3 and gradually becoming more and more anxious. I too have a constant dull ache in my lower abdomen and occasional sharp pains which I know is normal but it constantly draws my attention to it.

Due to my history (2mmc and 1 spontaneous and 2 occurrences of Ashermans) I will have fortnightly scans and have a treatment plan but I can feel I am becoming more terrified...

I have been put on a special project from work to allow me to do very little and work from home until the baby comes which is amazing but allows me loads of time to over worry - does anyone have any recommendations for relaxation techniques or meditation apps etc? I have decided to stay with my acupuncturist throughout but any other tips would be greatly appreciated???

thesmallbear · 10/01/2015 20:55

Welcome cava. Sorry to hear you're so nervous Sad It's great that work are supporting you though. I use this meditation website:

www.headspace.com

Mummytogoldie · 10/01/2015 21:04

Hi cava x yes treacle it's such an awful anxious time, I got really upset getting scanned the other day cos some people just take pregnancy for granted and it's just so precious x here's hoping for sticky healthy beans

charlieis30 · 10/01/2015 22:26

treacle re pains :
around the 5th week stabbing pains, some which almost took my breath away
up until about 8 or 9w it was low levels of cramping like period pain, on and off
then a few weeks off, but more cramping the 2nd half of wk11.
healthy baby seen at scans at 5.5, 8.1 and 10.2
hope that helps!

Thank you charlie! :)
That's reassuring. Especially since I'm only 3+6.
I can't wait to be 4 weeks. Short cycles have a lot to answer for!

KellyBird1980 · 11/01/2015 00:04

Hi Treacle - it sounds like we are going through similar things, I'm aprox 3 weeks and have been having dull period like cramps for short periods most days and more acute pain in my lower left abdomen every now and then. Trying to tell myself that it's just bub settling in, but like you I can't wait to get to the 4 week mark! My BFP was only 1 cycle after my d&c and no little ones yet so fingers crossed to both of us for a sticky bean xxx

Treaclepie19 · 11/01/2015 07:00

Fingers crossed for you kelly, its such a worrying time.
When are you 4 weeks?
I'm 4 weeks today and 12dpo and got 1-2 weeks pregnant on a digi today :D
that cheered me up as with my miscarriage it took until 14dpo.

Littlelady33 · 11/01/2015 07:31

Welcome cava! I use headspace too and find it really does help.

cavamonster · 11/01/2015 08:57

Thanks ladies for the headspace recommendation, my counsellor had recommended that site as well and I had forgotten about it. Tried it last night and think it will be something I can get in to so greatly appreciated!

Trying to just concentrate on milestones at the moment - next one being 6 weeks and my scan and not really think beyond that. The days just go so slow!!!

longestlurkerever · 11/01/2015 10:27

cava do you have any other milestones in your work or social calendar you can use to break up the days a bit too. I found if I thought "in two weeks we will be on holiday" for example it seemed closer than "in two weeks I will be 6 weeks' pregnant".

Treaclepie19 · 11/01/2015 12:11

Sorry to be a pain but I'm a bit upset :(
went to the out of hours doctors - what a waste of time.
The health care assistant took a urine sample (obviously negative) then said "I just want to show you this test". I'm like ok I have done lots, I'm only 4 weeks. To which she said "if your lp was 14th December you can't be 4 weeks til 14th January".
It was then I realised she was a complete idiot. We had a bit of a stand off and then went to wait to see the doctor.
The doctor went through the same stuff. Felt my tummy (very hard prods, ouch) and he could find the bit that was tender.
He said could be bowels but can't rule out ectopic and to keep an eye out for bleeding. Then asked if I wanted to go to the hospital.
Seriously?
So moral of story - should've stayed at home.

Thing is I'm only 4 weeks so they wouldn't see anything would they? Plus the pain is coming and going. Also I've had no bleeding.
