So sorry bluewisteria Sad Sort out your progesterone and I hope the next one is your sticky bean Flowers

silverine · 22/12/2014 10:39

Blue sorry to hear about you Cp... These are so cruel, aren't they, with their rollercoaster of emotions... Best wishes for next time and hope to see you here again soon. Welcome to all other newbies too!

seasides congratulations and enjoy you LO! I will post a stats update later today to add you. Does anyone else have updates or would like to be added to the EDD list?

All ok with me, going for my whooping cough vaccine later today, so working from home - yay!

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 10:43

Hello ladies and welcome to the new comers.
I've tried to stay away from mumsnet and Google these last few days as I felt I was losing my mind with worry.
I feel a bit calmer now so I think it did me good.
Not much to report here, symptoms have been constant, I'd say moderate in terms of boob soreness and nausea with a spike on Saturday morning when I've actually been sick. First time ever when this happened. i had nausea with all my pregnancies but this is the first time it got to this point. My husband was delighted Confused
bluewisteria sorry to hear about your bfn. Reading your first posts I was pretty sure it was too early for you to tell whether it will stick or not. Sorry it didn't. I'm fascinated with how well some women know their bodies. I am clueless Confused
How's the Christmas shopping going everyone? I haven't done anything. I've literally rolled from the sofa to the fridge and back all weekend.

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 10:44

Sorry I meant Saturday night. I had morning sickness late in the evening. Weird Hmm

CallingAllEngels · 22/12/2014 10:52

Haven't been on in ages and must be creeping closer to the top of the stats now as 39+1 and edd of this Sunday. Have managed to allay more of my anxiety about mc since 12 week scan and now worrying about birth (and hoping baby doesn't decide to arrive Christmas Day as I don't want to miss DS opening his presents!).

blue so sorry to hear your news Flowers

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 11:05

CallingAllEngels you're almost there, good luck! Cake
I hope all goes to plan and you'll have an uneventful and pain free labour

Hello all, I haven't been on for ages, a combination of work being frantic and Christmas preparations! I have been following and it's lovely to see so many newcomers, congrats on your bfps, what lovely Xmas presents!

Congratulations seasides, we both seemed to be on the ttc thread for ages, I can't believe we've come so far.

I've finally hit viability and am just over 24 weeks, I am starting to believe that we are going to have a baby! We have found out that we are having another boy, we are delighted but DS is a bit disappointed, he wanted a girl! The upside though is that he wants to call him Michael Jackson Xmas Confused

I'm now off work, with just a couple of days in between Xmas and new year so I'm going to make the most of putting my feet up!

charlieis30 · 22/12/2014 11:39

Morning all! The all-day morning sickness continues, I've lost half a stone as I just can't really face eating. No vomiting though, so I guess I'm lucky?

Sleep has been evading me recently, I am so worried even though I've had a good 8w scan, and doc assured me that another chromosome problem would probably have reared its ugly head by now. I thought after a good 8w I would relax a bit but haven't unfortunately. I feel so teary all the time but can't seem to have a really good sob which I feel like would "reset" me a little bit and help get the stress out. Just want to hide in a cave for a few more weeks.

Thanks sunbathing. Glad you're feeling good about Christmas, so should you.

Calling great to hear from you. There are only Amicablemoomin and QuietTiger ahead of you on the list but haven't seen them on this thread.. Best of luck for the birth - have you got a birth plan? Hospital or midwife unit? I'm 30 weeks now, so still wrestling with those decisions.

Hi Suzy, glad you're feeling well. MJ defo not a good name choice though! Xmas Wink

catbus · 22/12/2014 12:12

Just back from MW and bloods. Am 11 weeks today. She offered to have a feel and found my uterus about an.inch and a half or so above pubic bone. Then says 'you might not be as far on as you think'
Which obviously freaked me out. Then I said I didn't think uterus rose out of pelvis until 12 weeks + which she agreed with and then says 11 weeks it's about right, probably nothing to worry about Confused
Being a flapper I'm now.flapping like a good un. She was lovely though, just sowed a seed of doubt. 11 days til scan. At least I have Christmas to distract me a bit! Any thoughts or am I going mad?!

happygojo · 22/12/2014 12:13

elley in my last preg I got told I could have lactulose which you can buy over the counter at a pharmacy. I got told I couldn't have movicol until after 12 weeks. It takes a few days to work but I think I am getting there now. Feeling worse than last time at this point I think. I must admit I am not feeling the Christmas spirit, I feel like sleeping!

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 22/12/2014 12:50

I'm getting stomach cramps already but my period isn't actually due for another 3 or so days. Is that normal? I'm so worried.

broodylicious · 22/12/2014 13:02

Ooh calling, it's my birthday on Sunday! Let's hope your littlie arrives on time Smile

CallingAllEngels · 22/12/2014 13:10

I would try not to worry catbus - it's not an exact science. I know that's easy to say!

disney could be implantation. I felt rubbish even before the date AF was due.

DS keeps saying he wants a sister suzy - not sure how he'll react if we have a boy! (a surprise here).

Thanks skinny

Going to go to a birth centre (mw led) which is inside a hospital silverine. Same place I had DS. Had a very straightforward and quick labour last time so hoping for the same, but hopefully without an episotomy this time. Have chatted through my birth plan with mws - have a lovely team of 5 who I have seen on rotation (same I had with DS) and birth centre is only 5 minutes from our house.

I live in the Netherlands where home birth and mw led birth is very very common - though I wouldn't consider a home birth, mainly because my ILs live next door!

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 13:10

catbus I hate it when they just say things like this, casually, that cause havoc in an anxious mind. I can't remember, have you had a scan yet? And...did she take much blood? Pls say no Xmas Blush

We've decided to finally go away for the holidays and booked the tickets on Saturday. Not looking forward to an11 hr flight. I get terribly anxious in normal circumstances anyway but now it will be unbearable. Last night I went to bed and while I was drifting away the thought of flying for that long popped in to my mind and I was back at being wide awake and my heart was beating out of my chest. I'm worried about how my flying anxiety will affect me now? Any advice/thoughts on this please?
Just in case someone might find this helpful, M&S travel insurance covers pregnancy related issues even if there is a history of miscarriage as long as GP is happy with you flying.

I was booked in for my first scan on the 30th dec but will have to postpone this. I'll probably get rescheduled for the 3rd week of January (we'll be away for 15 days). With God's help and a bit of luck I should be over 11 weeks then. This is freaking me out a bit Shock please tell me it's not crazy of me to wait that long. I could probably push for an emergency scan tomorrow or pay for one, but I just can't and don't want to know in case it's not good news. Do you know what I mean?

suzy lovely news. Your ds wanting to name his little brother MJ made me lol That's well funny. Is he a fan? And I thought kids our days no longer appreciate true talent :))

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 13:12

I have just realised I write the longest posts in here.
I honestly apologise about this, not sure how I do it Blush

broodylicious · 22/12/2014 13:24

Lol skinny, I'm usually an essay writer tooWink

catbus · 22/12/2014 13:28

Just sent mw a text explaining my fears!
skinny had scan at 7 weeks. She took 4 vials- not that bad but I'm slow at them getting blood out!
I think it's good you're waiting.
Re anxiety- I find breathing good- helps calm me down. Here's a good link- hope it helps Smile

ElleyBear13 · 22/12/2014 13:41

Aftynoon ladies, got in touch with surgery explained m/c, irregular cycle since m/c think im between 4-5 weeks and theyve booked my booking appointment for monday 12th.....and i know its early days but ill be 7w3d if everything goes to plan, is that too early?? I dont want to be turned away. xx

Skinnylegs33 · 22/12/2014 15:06

catbus thank you for the link. I've read about pranayama a couple of years ago but never really tried it seriously.
I'll give it a go tonight, hopefully by the time I get on that plane I'll get better at doing it. Does it really work for you?
Elley Is the appointment for a scan? I don't think its too early at all. I've had scan much earlier than that and never got turned away. Good luck!

charlieis30 · 22/12/2014 15:06

disneyland on all of my pregnancies (including this one, which is looking successful so far) I've had cramps from a day or so before AF was due until week 6 or 7. All normal!

NewEraNewMindset · 22/12/2014 15:22

Hi guys, terrified to be posting here as I haven't even missed a period yet so please consider this one toe in the door and nothing more.

Faint positive on 8/9dpo and now pretty strong positive 10/11 dpo. I have never got positive this early so I am slightly worried about ectopic but my primary worry is whether I'm going to miss my period successfully or start bleeding.

I've decided to take 75mg of aspirin daily and high dose folic acid along with a pregnancy multivitamin. My acupuncturist is ordering me some special herbal potion and I'm seeing her on the 27th to start sessions to help support the pregnancy. I'm just totally terrified.

QuietTiger · 22/12/2014 15:37

Weelll.... I know I have been a bit of a quiet lurker on this thread, even though I have been wishing everyone lots of support and keeping my [paws crossed for all of you. It's however the end of the line for us. Because... Grin Grin

DD2 was born by ECLS on Thursday 18th December. (She was due Xmas day). She's healthy and thriving and DH and I are utterly over the moon. DH is like a dog with 2 tails, he hasn't stopped fussing, clucking and cooing over his darling DD.

It's been a long, scary 4 year journey, with the loss of DD1 at birth and 5 MC's, but we are proof that having a DC after a rough ride is genuinely possible. Right up to the point DD was brought screaming into the world (and boy, she has a pair of lungs) DH and I thought we'd fall at the last hurdle and have no DC to bring home.

But, she's here. And she's beautiful, and I am very biased. And she's also proof that miracles can happen, so hang in there. sending you all the best luck in the world. xx

catbus · 22/12/2014 15:45

quiettiger Oh that's wonderful news! Huge congratulations Flowers
Bought a tear to my eye- you must be over the moon! Enjoy all the cuddles and squishy newborn loveliness Smile
