Thank you @SunbathingCat and @Littlelady33. I know what you mean about panicking, every twinge or ease of symptoms I'm worrying! My mum was saying it's a waste of money having an early scan, as this pregnancy is so much like when I was pregnant my DD she doubts there is anything wrong. But I just can't take things for granted anymore...

Sunbathing I agree and even the thought of Harley street's scary proximity to Oxford street at this time of year isn't off putting. And wherever you go it seems £100-£150 is the going rate unless you want a consultant - I don't suppose anyone had any particular London private recommendations?

charlieis30 · 20/12/2014 18:10

I've done Fetal Medicine Centre on Harley St a couple of times, once had bad news and once good. It was fine, they give you a report which you can keep amd give to gp or midwife and at my 8w reassurance this week i got a picture which I'm loving looking at! they are 100 quid

Hi ladies, I was on the TTC after miscarriage thread for an age, then graduated here and was added to the stats lists. I have been following ever since, but as a lurker rather than poster. Anyway, I just wanted to update that baby Freya was born safely and, in the scheme of things, easily (though it sure as hell didn't feel like that at the time!), yesterday afternoon and is currently feeding happily :-) It took us 10 months to conceive after my ectopic, and felt like 10 years, so I know just how scary and distant actually holding your baby in your arms can seem, particularly during those awful, interminable first 12 weeks. But I wanted to post to say it will happen! And good luck through what I so hope will be smooth, happy pregnancies for all of you. Sorry if this is a bit incoherent, I'm a little tired!

Littlelady33 · 21/12/2014 07:34

Seasides what wonderful news congratulations! I remember you from the TTC board and am so thrilled to hear your news x

broodylicious · 21/12/2014 08:11

Aaah congratulations mamma seasides!! So delighted for you after sharing some time on the ttc threads together. Take things easy these hazy first few weeks of being a mummy Smile

Sorry to crash in... I got an early BFP but am now convinced it isn't sticking. Just felt a massive drop like I used to when I was having mc's. I had 6 early mc's before both my DD's. For my first DD I took progesterone supplements and conceived her first cycle. My second DD just appeared! I think we assumed that the first full pregnancy had reset something.

This is my first BFP since DD2. I just 'knew' I was pregnant. Did a test, positive. Now I feel I 'know' I'm not!

I was going to wait till tues, if no AF then test again??

bluewisteria · 21/12/2014 15:39

By a massive drop I mean a hormonal physical one of being down. Am I making any sense?!!

Only due AF today earliest depending on cycle. I'm sure it's a chemical.

Yup you're totally right. Just need to ride it out. Progesterone supplements only work if taken from ovulation. I think I thought I didn't need them any more after DD2. It may be that I don't, that this just wasn't right and my body knew it.

blue I have everything crossed for you also. I guess it's a waiting game..I hope you manage to distract yourself and hang in there Smile

ElleyBear13 · 21/12/2014 17:29

seaside huge congratulations! So wonderful to read of a successful and healthy pregnancy and birth :). bluewisteria are you sure its not just your hormones being haywire? Esp after your last m/c will keep you in my prayers! Hoping for a sticky. Sooo its been six days since BFP, and im feeling positive. Last pregnancy i had very, very strong cramps (like strong period pains) 6w2d when the cramps finally led to bleeding ( the midwife at early bird app. reassured me it was completely normal even through i had that bad feeling) this time ive had the odd tug, but nothing like before....is this a good sign?? Im suddenly terrified that the cramps will start and been knicker checking every hour! On another note, hubby noticed i was warmer than normal down there, and we never noticed that in last preg again is this okay? Or a sign of something going to go wrong? xxxx

broodylicious · 21/12/2014 18:53

elly, funny you say that about feeling warmer down there - I've felt like I'm sweltering at night in that area! Even had a bit of a heat rash which made me scratch the other night! No idea if that's normal, I don't remember it with dd, but sure as sure can be, this bloody sickness is a big enough sign for me that all is going wellWink

ElleyBear13 · 21/12/2014 19:05

broody haha im glad im not the only one! no sickness yet just queasy ughh. Another TMI question (stupidly terrified) im a little constipated (going to get stool softeners tomorrow) can i strain? im terrified the pushing may cause another m/c surely not? i feel like im going mad! xx

broodylicious · 21/12/2014 20:02

That's a common early pg symptom you got yourself there, elly. I was the other way iykwim until about seven weeksShock it's all the hormones I imagine and prob side effect of the vits supplement. Try to eat lots of fibre and drink lots of water - in fact, water is pretty much a cure all as I've found it can stop me from being sick!

Babytinx11 · 21/12/2014 20:11

elley I've never heard of straining causing a miscarriage but you might be better off trying something like prunes or seeing your gp rather than buying an over the counter stool softener just to be on the safe side

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 22/12/2014 07:16

Morning everyone, can I join? I got my bfp last night but I'm only about 3w4d and about 10dpo. It was quite a strong line for so early. I've had to early miscarriage at 5weeks since January already this year so now I'm really anxious and wish I hadn't tested so early. The next couple of weeks are going to be hard. Weird lower stomach aches etc and I'm freaking out.

bluewisteria · 22/12/2014 07:27

A BFN this morning for me, so it's a chemical. Will pop to the GP in the new year and see about starting progesterone again.
Thanks so much for all your support and wishing you the most lovely, healthy and happy pregnancies xx Flowers
