Thanks guys, had a pretty tough time.
Went in Saturday and was given the pessary to start things off. It was very painful but things looked good and I was contracting quite strong every 2 - 3 minutes. This carried on and after a few hours I was examined, they said I was 2 cm but due to the regularity of the contractions they could not give me another pessary so could offer me a sweep. I had a sweep and it hurt then all contractions stopped. I went to bed thinking they might pick up at some point. I slept about 2 hours. Woke up early the next day for ctg. Had examination and still only 2cm.
Was then sent to labor ward for arm, at this point in time I thought this would be the most physically painful thing I could ever experience... If only I knew.
After 5-6 hours there was no sign of contractions so was told I need the drip and should have the epi. Got both these sorted. My blood pressure then started to drop and I became really quite ill. They gave me some meds and that sorted it.
Then the epidural didn't work and the anethatist had gone to theatre so managed the contractions alone.
I was then examined around 3am this morning and told I was at 10 cm. midwife said he feels like a big baby and that he mAy get stuck, if this happens she will press the emergency button.
Was pushing and she said I was doing well when all of a sudden the emergency button was pulled and all these people came running in. Before I knew it I was in stirrups and had two cuts made
ds was then pulled out and wisked away. I was being sewn up but no one would tell me about ds. I got in a state. I could also feel the stitches
. They then wouldn't let me leave the bed because of the stitches and I started getting ill again.
3 hours later ds came back looking perfect

and I sat there cuddling him.
I was told that we both have a small chance of infection, they needed bloods from both of us and were in for a few days hospital stay for iv antibiotics. So that's where we are at now
He seems perfectly healthy, happy and amazing so am hoping we can go home when the results come back in a day or so
I love him!!
What a long post!
