I never seemed to be able to keep up with the Antenatal Threads as they move so so fast, but now im 30weeks I thought it might be nice to have a general thread for those of us currently on the final leg.

Im expecting a boy at the end of October and have a dd who is currently 2y 8m. We had an eleven week loss last year so I am beyond chuffed to have had a so far successful pregnancy. Im starting to get very weary and my chest feels so full of my other organs at the moment!

Just returned from a few days away and realised the next time I use my little weekend bag will be for labour Grin so Im going to start chucking stuff into it over the next few weeks.

I am all for baby staying in as long as they need but am so so keen to just getting this pregnancy over and done with.

Weebairn you are not a bad mother!! I have a glass or TWO whenever I fancy it! My baby is fine and so am I 8-)

Having my Whooping Cough injection tomorrow.

I am now 31 weeks and get this sick in the tummy feeling. I think it's probably normally as I've read other people saying their MS returned. Anyone else experiencing this?

RebeccaCloud9 · 28/08/2014 13:14

I've continued to be sick every morning throughout Sad but have been feeling rough throughout the day a bit more than usual this last couple of weeks.

pinkteapots · 28/08/2014 14:01

God. People are doing housework. Please do mine! The house is a state, just about manage to keep the downstairs loo clean and get washing up in the dishwasher. Thats it. The rest of the place is gone to shit. Between breathlessness and grating pelvis and toddlers i'm aiming for a simple existence these days! :-D

ithought - hope your wrong and LO is nicely upside down. Tried an inversion from spinning babies last night and its surprisingly difficult! Realised just how shot my sphincter muscles are; thought my dinner was going to just fall out. Maybe will try it further from food today!!

JuniDD · 28/08/2014 15:03

Which inversion did you try pink? The one off the sofa? That looks so gymnastic! Clean loo & clean crockery sounds like plenty enough to me, especially with a LO to look after.

Had my WC jab today. It stung a bit after and my arm feels a bit bruised but nothing too bad so far. I did try to keep it moving after (doing some flexes in the car must've looked a bit odd!) so hoping that will help a bit.

pinkteapots · 28/08/2014 15:09

juni, yes the sofa one. It looked fine online, but when you've a huge bump its bloody hard to pull off! I couldnt get down to start, then couldnt get up lol

ithoughtofitfirst · 28/08/2014 17:29

They seem to be the right way around today...she says as if it isn't impossible to tell. Felt such a huge rolling movement though so was convinced.

If i drank under normal circumstances I would definitely be having a glass or two. Some people smoke 20 a day throughout ... I love that kind of logic Grin only messin. Ive been craving Guinness all pregnancy for some reason.

I bought my breast pump and car seat yesterday. Ridicks excited now!!! No less fed up though.

Missus2ndwife · 28/08/2014 17:49

Ithought - have the Guinness!! It's very good for during pregnancy with all the iron :)

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 28/08/2014 20:33

Not too sure if I need to be concerned but over the past 24 hours ive had lots of stabbing pains down behind my pubic bone, an ache across my back, and starting about noon today and still going isa sore pain under bump and a stronger ache down the left side. Two members of staff have said my bump has literally deflated over the course of my shift and work got so scared they sent ne home.

It doesnt feel like cntractions - I just ache / hurt intermittedly around stomach and back.

Think I would reckon baby has changed position in some way, maybe dropped or engaged, maybe turned from front to back or back to front as well. Shooting pains behind your pubic bone are often a head! But if you're worried, as always, ring your midwife or hospital admissions or whatever number you've been advised to call. If baby is still active as before its a good indication he or she is happy. I'm not a midwife though, just going by my own aches and pains! Take a rest, you need to slow down a bit - you're still working, and active while on shift arent you? They should cut you some slack...

ithoughtofitfirst · 28/08/2014 21:22

Oh bless you think yeah take it super easy for a few days.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 28/08/2014 21:30

Gonna try and get tomorrows shift swapped so I can be off.

weebairn · 29/08/2014 18:35

Finished my last day at work woo-hoo!!! One month to go!! I have booked myself a haircut, a leg wax and a massage on the days my toddler is in nursery. :) :)

ithoughtofitfirst · 29/08/2014 22:13

Omg weebairn that's exciting!!

RebeccaCloud9 · 01/09/2014 09:22

So it's now September - most of us having a baby NEXT MONTH and some even THIS MONTH - it's getting close ladies! Exciting!

pinkteapots · 01/09/2014 13:57

Wish I could mentally switch off a bit and not remember to the day what stage i'm at. Don't know how many times a day I mentally flip through a calendar and oddly enough the days don't pass any quicker for it! Also find once I get to xx weeks and about 5 days, i've mentally moved onto the following week. Today i'm 33+5 and trying not to think of it as 34. argh!

weebairn · 01/09/2014 16:22

Haha pink teapots I do exactly the same! As if it will make baby come quicker!

weebairn · 01/09/2014 16:23

35+6 but have been thinking of it as 36 for almost a week, oops!

JuniDD · 07/09/2014 18:44

Bumpity bump (har har)

How's everyone getting on? I'm 34 weeks on Tuesday and slowed up considerably in the last two weeks, can't quite believe it tbh. I think the baby may be engaging...bump seems lower/smaller somehow. I also seem to be getting hotter and hotter, not cooler with the weather, anyone else?!

Anyway, hope you're all ok. Smile

LBNM19 · 07/09/2014 21:56

Hi everyone I'm 33 weeks and had a bright red bleed on Friday night eneded up with an overnight stay in hospital. Still wiping a fair about of brown blood I'm so worried any one else had the same? X

BumpOct2014 · 07/09/2014 22:16

I'm feeling the same as you JuniDD
33 weeks tomorrow and really seem to have slowed down!

On one hand, I can't believe I've only got 7 weeks left but on the other hand I can't believe I've still got 7 weeks to go!!

Hope everyone is else is doing well.

pinkteapots · 08/09/2014 09:56

LNMB No I cant say its happened to me, BUT they wouldnt have sent you home if baby was distressed. Did they monitor etc? Brown blood is old so the bleed has likely stopped. Did they give possible reasons? Hope you're feeling positive, Brew

petitverdot · 08/09/2014 10:22

I'm sure things are OK if they've sent you home LBNM - hope you're feeling well now.

I finished work last week so going slightly insane at home... Having to make myself lengthy to do lists so I have things to occupy me and don't get obsessed with every twinge! 37+3 now so could theoretically be any time in the next 5 weeks...

Annarose2014 · 08/09/2014 10:35

So reassuring that others are feeling a bit nauseated - I wasn't sure what that was all about. Finding the thoughts of dinner a bit pukey. I'm living off sandwiches and tea at the moment.

Is it something to do with the pressure on your stomach?

LBNM19 · 08/09/2014 11:17

Well my placenta is anterior so they think that's why. Bleeding still brown but getting heavier so back at the hospital on the mointer to check as he didn't move much yesterday either, so will prob be having a scan today to xx
