I never seemed to be able to keep up with the Antenatal Threads as they move so so fast, but now im 30weeks I thought it might be nice to have a general thread for those of us currently on the final leg.

Im expecting a boy at the end of October and have a dd who is currently 2y 8m. We had an eleven week loss last year so I am beyond chuffed to have had a so far successful pregnancy. Im starting to get very weary and my chest feels so full of my other organs at the moment!

Just returned from a few days away and realised the next time I use my little weekend bag will be for labour Grin so Im going to start chucking stuff into it over the next few weeks.

I am all for baby staying in as long as they need but am so so keen to just getting this pregnancy over and done with.

No idea which way mine is facing (hoping the midwife might tell me tomorrow, although I am well aware it can move) but I do think they are trying to kick my uterus into a more like able/comfortable shape
Ribs and lower bump are sore!
Hoping they get it out of their system soon as I suddenly feel huge and uncomfortable and I'm only 31 weeks!

Ugh… work is just… not fun.

35 and a bit weeks now.

Supposed to be working friday, wednesday and thursday but not sure I can. That sounds crap, it's only 3 shifts!! Feeling wobbly and dizzy after only half the day on my feet. Worried in case a patient is properly sick, I don't feel up to it…

Think friday will be my last day, let's hope it's not a disaster.

Is anyone else here irrationally jealous of people who have their babies a bit early? THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE PREGNANT FOR AS LONG AS THE REST OF US!!

I feel very very uncomfortable but not that huge, though I might just be kidding myself. God I can't wait to run around again...

I'm not doing too badly but I am SO breathless and I hate it. Hope work is ok weebairn.

My baby seems to kick the top of the bump and my bladder at the same time. Shock

JuniDD - the breathlessness Sad
It's soo annoying! It's rather embarrassing huffing and puffing when doing normal, everyday things Blush

Ugh, I've been feeling really breathless and exhausted, particularly this week. And I'm not even working! Don't know how I'll cope back at school next week!

Oh man, I'm dreading this jab, got it tomorrow morning!
I've finished work but found I did manage to bring my A game when I was there. Wasn't good for much else after and needed the weekend to "recover" but you'll be ok rebecca. At least it's not so bleeding hot now!

I've got my whooping cough jab tomorrow to, exactly 32 weeks today, I feel awful, exhausted, headaches, hot flashes and breathless at times, so glamorous ha xx

The breathlessness is awful I'm also just sat on the sofa struggling at the moment. I spoke to the midwife about it today and she didn't seem too sure as to why I'm struggling all the time and prescribed me iron however my iron levels are normal Confused another 8 weeks of the breathlessness seems almost unbearable !

I get it mainly after I've eaten especially in the evening, but just doing a few bits around the house I start struggling to xx

LBN I am one day ahead of you!
yeah, I've done loads around the house today, but not gone out. I will not sleep tonight, weirdly. The lazy days are the better ones. I just do a bit, have a rest, do a bit more. I find a slightly sour juice helps me feel better, but I suppose it is just sugar.

I do find it's worse in the mornings and the evenings. I'm enjoying sitting up with DH tonight so don't want to go to bed. But I am knackered.

Pregnancy insomnia AWFUL here. Awake every night from 3am. Sometimes I drift back to sleep around 6 ish, but that's useless as I have to get up with my toddler around that time anyway…

Last night poor mite had a temperature and I've been up cuddling her since 4am… she is only 23 months so doesn't really understand how uncomfortable it is with a bump Sad

Someone tell me it will all be easier once I stop work??

Hi all, so sorry to hear of all the crapness - work stresses, breechness and insomnia. It really isnt a treat, pregnancy is it!

I feel like I have forEVER left at work which is crappy. DH has been off all summer and Ive worked full time shifts. Its been a shit summer. No time really as a family, and ive been exhausted for most of it. Tha kfully I should scrape most of next summer into my leave so will be nice to have a nearly four year old and a nearly one year old to do stuff with!

Yes I have just willing this summer to be over really! Then I feel terrible that I'm missing out on so much with my toddler… (DP has definitely been "lead parent" this year) - I loved mat leave last time and am really hoping it's as good this time too! My DD started crawling and walking in the summer of 2013 and I was still off work it was a brilliant time.

I had the jab last week - no swelling or pain or anything.

Also not sure what way up he is now. I think he's head down but then I get weird movements either side of my bump. Sometimes I get a ridge to the left of my tummy button and look really lopsided so I'm pretty sure his back is facing out anyway.

Still 4 weeks to go at work (leaving at 37 weeks). Feels quite a long way off!

I am on my feet at work and they've given me basically no concessions at all except taking me off night shifts. Most days I struggle to get lunch! My bump is stupidly heavy after rushing around. Boyfriend is trying to persuade me to just stop NOW.

I think I will work friday and stop. Next week I am 37 weeks and it just seems a step too far. Mind you last baby was a week late so not exactly worried anything is going to happen early.

If the bastards would give me some kind of paperworky/sit down alternative I would work it though. Grr.

Head down here at the moment (it's probably all the rushing around!) - fingers crossed.

I sit on my ball sometimes. Though toddler wants to bounce up and down on it which is exhausting so I keep it to the evenings after she's in bed! I don't think there is a specific time to get it out, I guess it's all good for baby position in the last month or two??

Whats the situation when leaving work earlier? Do you need paperwork from MW or Doc? I have three and a half weeks of Annual Leave in to take me right up to my due date so no ML to play with so to speak. If I decide at 35 weeks I need to finish earlier, can they insist its all ML or could I just pull all my dates forward two weeks?

I'm not entirely sure but I'll let you know next week because I don't think I'm going to go in after friday…

I was just going to call in sick?? Either they 'll call them sick days or they'll move my mat leave date?? In my case it will only be a week's difference so I'm ok with them calling it mat leave if they must. though it's all their fault for not letting me bloody sit down
