Hey so I'm very new to this but I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and save my partner from another night of moaning!

I'm currently 38+2 and I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable each day... I am so hormonal and forever shouting at my loved one Sad! Every day things are becoming even more unbearable, just turning over in bed hurts!! I've been having a lot of pain when doing daily tasks such as walking and by the end of the day I'm in agony!! My midwife said it is SPD or something.

Anyway sorry about the complaining I am very privileged and excited to meet our little boy and still have had very little signs that he will enter the world anytime soon... I only ever tend to feel 1 or 2 Braxton Hicks at night which are very very mild, I've also not had any sort of show that I know of... I get the odd sharp pain that shoots through my cervix but that is about it!!! Has anyone ever gone into labour out of the blue with no signs? And is anyone else feeling as fed up as I am... Or am I just a moaning mertal Grin.

I know patience is key and he will arrive when he's ready but I just feel like everyone else is having their babies and I'm going to be a whale forever!!! Rant over.

I know I'll be late I've had no signs or anything yet and I'm 39+4 grrr... But what's 12 days at the most hey Smile!

I wouldn't think they would give you a sweep so early, I've only been offered my first at 41weeks Smile x

Yea I'm not getting one till 41 weeks ago. I was actually debating asking my partner to have a poke around haha but that's another story for if I'm really desperate lol

laurajane89 · 22/08/2014 13:50

I was thinking the same thing mmolly2013 haha :) I have a 15month old and I am struggling to run around after him now just want to sleep all the time

ImNotAFlower · 22/08/2014 18:19

Morgan Oliver arrived this morning at 11.26am after a 6 hour labour. All good and we are off home in an hour!

RubyRuby007 · 22/08/2014 19:03

At last! Our beautiful baby boy arrived at 4.20 on wednesday, weighing in at 10lbs.
Our "birth plan" went out of the window as our little brute was back to back and was eventually born by forceps delivery by an amazing team of doctors and midwives. Smile
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. Flowers

Ellie2elysia · 22/08/2014 20:56

TheWoot · 23/08/2014 13:03

Welcome to all the new babies, well done mummies! Lost a bit of plug this morning (sorry if that's too much) but nothing happening since. Was having pretty uncomfortable braxton hicks last night.
Hope something happens soon-ish. Getting impatient and my 'nesting' has well and truly ended. Too tired now.
Has labour started for anyone else?

neddle · 23/08/2014 20:27

39+6 but holding out for a September baby.

9 days to go, but bored of waiting.

Ellie2elysia · 23/08/2014 22:11

Due on Tuesday but the closer it gets to September the more I want him to stay in... I'll be royally pissed if he arrive on the 31st of august haha

I know everybody gets BH's but normally in the evening I get 1 or 2 but this evening I've had quite a few more and I'm not sure if it's just because normally I don't pay attention! Been on my hands and knees all day cleaning, maybe that has something to do with it Smile

TheWoot · 24/08/2014 10:48

Lots of braxton hicks last night and this morning. Getting very uncomfortable, people say you know when they are true contractions but I'm confused. Got back ache too, any thoughts?

Ellie2elysia · 24/08/2014 12:36

Mine turned out to be nothing Smile no surprise there! Got to go to the doctors tomorrow TMI but think I've got a lovely case of thrush ... Just what need when I'm a due on Tuesday grrrrr. Pregnancy problems. The annoying thing is I haven't had it once in the whole 9 months...typical.

OP posts:
TheWoot · 24/08/2014 13:09

Oh no Ellie2elysia! I got treated 2 weeks ago for thrush, midwife said ignore it but I thought it might cause problems with breast feeding, so spoke to the dr instead. My bh/ contractions got to 4 minutes apart, called hospital and now they have gone to 10 minutes.... Typical!

Ellie2elysia · 24/08/2014 13:38

I know so typical haha, I want to bf as well so will definitely be going to get checked tomorrow!! Might just be me being silly! Ahh good luck hope things progress for you Grin x

Well baby arrived on Friday, wee boy weighing 7lb 8oz:-). Contractions started late Thursday night (no pre labour signs!) and I was up and about all night with TENS machine which I think really took the edge off. Phoned hospital in morning when contractions were 9 mins apart and they told me to stay put and go to my scheduled mw appt for the smear I was to get.....when I got to clinic I felt like I was in full labour...mw examined me and yelled 'you're 7cm dilated, get to hospital quickly....'. She phoned hospital and we made a dash and I was in water pool 5 mins later. Hospital didn't believe community mw notes so she reluctantly examined me and couldn't believe my contractions were 9cm and I was so dilated. Baby arrived 6 hrs later, just gas and air and baby was back to back (ouch). Never got past 5 mins between contractions.....goes to show everyone is different!

MrsGiraffe12 · 24/08/2014 16:00

38 weeks today and think I maybe in early labour after weeks of slow labour. Pain with the contractions, and baby going mad. Not to mention the runs and weeing loads. Gonna see how it goes next few hours and maybe call midwife x

TheJourney22 · 24/08/2014 16:04

Ooooo! I've just read a few of these & welling up .... My DS is 9 Months now & I can clearly remember when I went into labour Grin

Congrats all .... and welcome to the world little ones Grin

mssleepyhead · 24/08/2014 18:44

Still waiting here! Due date yesterday but no signs at all. Feel like I'm in for the long haul...! Getting increasingly fed up of other people's comments too. Trying my best to stay calm and patient. The last thing I need is pressure from excited gparents, ggparents etc. They're not getting that I'm actually hoping he might last till September!

scrufhead · 24/08/2014 19:00

I've been having pains now for the last 8 hours, back ache and period pain along with a sort of deep set pulling :S I was randomly sick this morning too & just started with the runs :(

The pains have been going on for the past 2+ weeks though so I'm not getting my hopes up!!

Congrats to all the new mums!! I can't wait to join the club!!

MrsGiraffe12 · 24/08/2014 19:27

scrufhead looks like we're in the same boat :-) pains but don't know if it's labour x

Ellie2elysia · 24/08/2014 19:33

I've never thought I'd wish to feel some sort of pain! All I'm feeling is the bloody hiccups for the 3rd time today my whole belly shakes I'm thinking he might be a big boy Smile
