Hey so I'm very new to this but I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and save my partner from another night of moaning!

I'm currently 38+2 and I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable each day... I am so hormonal and forever shouting at my loved one Sad! Every day things are becoming even more unbearable, just turning over in bed hurts!! I've been having a lot of pain when doing daily tasks such as walking and by the end of the day I'm in agony!! My midwife said it is SPD or something.

Anyway sorry about the complaining I am very privileged and excited to meet our little boy and still have had very little signs that he will enter the world anytime soon... I only ever tend to feel 1 or 2 Braxton Hicks at night which are very very mild, I've also not had any sort of show that I know of... I get the odd sharp pain that shoots through my cervix but that is about it!!! Has anyone ever gone into labour out of the blue with no signs? And is anyone else feeling as fed up as I am... Or am I just a moaning mertal Grin.

I know patience is key and he will arrive when he's ready but I just feel like everyone else is having their babies and I'm going to be a whale forever!!! Rant over.

Mrs G, not sure if this helps you but I read that Braxton Hicks can be reduced through additional hydration. Given the weather etc I'm sure you're already drinking plenty but just in case...

How exciting Lairy, I hope all goes well and how lovely to know you'll have your baby tomorrow! I. The end I suppose the birth is just the process and the baby is the thing, I'm trying to keep a very open mind how it happens if I need to be induced as my Waterbirth plan will go out the window. I would already do anything to get my baby so I'm relaxing about the method now!

Im 38+5, past few nights when I'm trying to sleep it feels like the baby it trying to tunnel her way out, sharp pains when she wiggles her head as if she's pushing down.

On a cleaning mission today going to do the house top to bottom and plenty of raspberry leaf teaSmile

I was keen to give natural birth a go, but at this stage I am almost considering a DIY section!

(Having resigned myself to the section, the awkward bugger might still surprise us in the next 24 hrs though, I suppose)

But yes, looking forward to meeting him. Had twins the first time, larger one was 6lb13 so I am expecting this one to seem like a monster!

It's not easy when you already feel so 'full' all the time! Hope they ease soon.

I've hit the dates again at lunch - can't hurt I suppose!!

I'm about to hoover the bedroom as well - after I asked DH to bring the hoover upstairs I really should!

Had a sweep this morning but my cervix, although soft, is still a bit long and tubular. Another one booked for Saturday. Joy.

I just can't do anything today! So tired. Really pathetically don't want to go to Aquayoga as I when I booked up to the day before due date I was never really thinking I would go to it, hoped I would have baby or that I'd be somehow so ready to go is not be able to! But I could go tonight and I would feel better, but I don't know, I don't want to talk to people and I bizarrely worry about what happens if my waters go in the pool! I'm hating this time. I've been so chilled all pregnancy and the due date has sent me over the edge.

Due date tomorrow and just back from a busy afternoon in town and walked 5 km home.....I feel even better than I did earlier this week, I'm sure this baby is retreating back up the way even though I am only 2/5 engaged anyway...sigh....getting really anxious that my dreams of a drug-free water birth are not going to happen:-(

Oh and to make me feel even worse, the 2 ladies from my NCT group who were also due tomorrow are both in hospital. One had her baby last night, the other is about to have hers! They were both induced due to complications mind you so I should be grateful I'm still at home allowing things to happen naturally......

I have absolutely no idea how some of you can go on long walks, just walking round Tesco exhausts me, my legs ache and ache :(! My waddle is getting uncontrollable and sometimes I feel like I'm just going to fall forward with my mahoosive belly!! Come on baby I'm most definitely ready for you now :)

Ellie, I'm sure it's because my baby is so high up......everyone keeps commenting how high my bump still is. But that isn't a good thing at 40 weeks! Off for another walk......

Report
Ellie2elysia · 14/08/2014 18:18

Do you know whether you are having a boy or girl? My bump only dropped a couple of weeks ago when he finally turned from being breech :)!

It's a boy! Mw doesn't seem too bothered, thinks I might just be carrying high as his head is in my pelvis but I'm not even waddling yet which I dont understand. She says he might not drop until my waters go.....sounds great but I've had a symptomless pregnancy too which although easy, makes me so anxious as I can't help feeling that he won't come of his own accord...

Mmolly2013 · 14/08/2014 18:56

I've had a nearly symptomless pregnancy also. My bump isn't massive either but I'm having a girl. I was a curvy 12 before getting pregnant so don't know if my size meant a smaller bump. Although seems to be a gene thing all women in my family when they carry girls have smaller wider bumps and little sickness but the opposite when carrying boys.

I know what you mean others may class you as lucky but I'm the same really... I don't get braxton hicks well not many that I can feel normally just the odd one at night!! I'm searching for any little sign that he's going to make an appearance soon but absolutely nothing. I'm quite short and was petite before pregnancy and I'm suffering with spd so walking is a challenge which probably adds to my waddle :)

My bump is measuring right for 40 weeks but it's all round and in front and now it's dropped I really find walking difficult. Baby is 3/5 palpable and he feels so low it hurts to walk far too! Managed to convince my DH to walk me to Aquayoga tonight so I can do the walk but not worry about being on my own, that freaks me out at the moment! Then an hour stretching and jiggling in the pool will I hope shake him down a bit! I haven't exactly had a symptomless pregnancy as I was very sick, but I've not had many Braxton hicks at all or a show. However my midwife did say labour can just start with no warning. Fingers crossed for is all tonight!

We don't know if it's a boy or girl. Another reason to evict this baby! I had good contractions last night approx 10 minutes apart but, as ever, daylight chases them away.

Come out babies!
