Hey so I'm very new to this but I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and save my partner from another night of moaning!

I'm currently 38+2 and I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable each day... I am so hormonal and forever shouting at my loved one Sad! Every day things are becoming even more unbearable, just turning over in bed hurts!! I've been having a lot of pain when doing daily tasks such as walking and by the end of the day I'm in agony!! My midwife said it is SPD or something.

Anyway sorry about the complaining I am very privileged and excited to meet our little boy and still have had very little signs that he will enter the world anytime soon... I only ever tend to feel 1 or 2 Braxton Hicks at night which are very very mild, I've also not had any sort of show that I know of... I get the odd sharp pain that shoots through my cervix but that is about it!!! Has anyone ever gone into labour out of the blue with no signs? And is anyone else feeling as fed up as I am... Or am I just a moaning mertal Grin.

I know patience is key and he will arrive when he's ready but I just feel like everyone else is having their babies and I'm going to be a whale forever!!! Rant over.

Aye, people say 'you'll know' and I haven't had a pain bad enough to make me think that! its got to happen at some point but I'm booked for a homebirth so I'd like to get a wiggle on with it now! plus I've spent £100 on a pool!

So I'm 40+2 today and labour has definitely begun. Mild period pains starting at 4 am closely followed by contractions lasting 30 secs every 9 mins. I seem to be bleeding a bit so had put pad on and have to call hospital back soon.

Just to reassure some if you labour wasn't as painful as I'd anticipate just take each contraction as they come and make good use of gas and air taking deep long breaths the trick is to anticipate the contraction and suck beforehand

Haven't been on here for a while just thought I'd check how everyone was getting on - congrats to everyone with their new babies!! I went into labour on the 17th at 41 wks - baby girl weighing 7lb 3oz! Lovely labour in the birthing pool with no pain relief - super quick for a PFB too - was in hospital for 3 hours! They let me leave that day too :) we feel very lucky!!!

Just a quick update and if anyone reads this I would like their opinion ...

Woke up at 5 with mild lower back pain that comes round to stomach, I'm a FTM so don't know what to expect :) the pain is bearable and hasn't increased in intensity but has been coming every 5-8 minutes since I noticed at 5! As I said it is bearable makes my toes curl but doesn't take my breath away... Could this be the start?? May I add I'm 40+3 today... Got the midwife at 2 so will get her to have a look

Ooh that sounds promising! I was just checking back to see if everyone had given birth :) day 10 with my little boy and he's an absolute joy and we are having so much fun! Also I feel so much better and am getting out and about. Tbh I found the post birth pain easier to deal with than the last weeks of pregnancy, as I had a beautiful baby to focus on. And the last few days have really shown me how much I hated being pregnant because I feel like a new woman. I can eat and bend and walk! Hope everyone either post or pre birth is doing well!Smile Flowers

Not been able to get any rest :(, although they have been irregular in timings apart it's no more than 15 minutes and they have most definitely got longer and more painful than this morning lasting between 45-60 secs! My hospital is 30 minutes away and I don't want a wasted trip and to be sent home so I'm trying to stick it out, the pain is mostly in my back though... This is not fun :(

I'm still having pains too :( I've felt like I've had a bug over the last three days with headaches and squitzz!! its my due date today- could this baby be like it's mum and arrive to everything bang on time haha wishful thinking!
