August baby, feel like labour will never come!

Hey so I'm very new to this but I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and save my partner from another night of moaning!

I'm currently 38+2 and I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable each day... I am so hormonal and forever shouting at my loved one ! Every day things are becoming even more unbearable, just turning over in bed hurts!! I've been having a lot of pain when doing daily tasks such as walking and by the end of the day I'm in agony!! My midwife said it is SPD or something.

Anyway sorry about the complaining I am very privileged and excited to meet our little boy and still have had very little signs that he will enter the world anytime soon... I only ever tend to feel 1 or 2 Braxton Hicks at night which are very very mild, I've also not had any sort of show that I know of... I get the odd sharp pain that shoots through my cervix but that is about it!!! Has anyone ever gone into labour out of the blue with no signs? And is anyone else feeling as fed up as I am... Or am I just a moaning mertal .

I know patience is key and he will arrive when he's ready but I just feel like everyone else is having their babies and I'm going to be a whale forever!!! Rant over.

It is tricky trying to keep calm and not stress about it all!! Trying to sleep is near impossible now!!
I've been timing contractions since about 4pm and they are coming between 8-11 mins so not regular and had more of the bloody show!! Feels quite painful now!!

Can I join in ? 39+4/5 (lmp)...have my first sweep this morning so hoping my cervix is behaving

Had quite a few BH but very irregular over the past few days...just hope we don't reach induction!!

Still no signs here, I'm just absolutely exhausted, been in bed these last couple of days! Where is this burst of energy people go on about... I just feel like crap (39+2). No show, no nothing... The past few weeks I have had increased cm (tmi) but haven't thought anything of it :). Come on baby, mummy needs to meet you now before she gets really grumpy!!!!

Hi ladies, soon walking him out didn't work... Today I have given up! Midwife tomorrow 40+3 so will get her to do another sweep and then cross everything except my legs!!!

Baby girl unnamed, born 20th August at 21:32 and weighing 6lbs!!!
She's completely perfect! Had a sweep at 6pm and dilated very fast, laboured on just gas & air! Can't sleep now, too excited!

Congratulations both! Induction say today but just spoken to the hospital and they have lots of people in labour already. So I have to wait until later... Yet more waiting.

Congrats everyone! I have another sweep tomorrow which I'm hoping will move things along else induction on Wednesday.....feeling really restless today and think my mucus plug is starting to come away so fingers crossed he arrives before induction!

All these babies ahhh it's getting me excited !! I think I'm starting to lose my mucus plug eeeek trying not to get my hopes up though but it'd be nice to have some sort of sign that my body is preparing for labour ! Congrats to all the new mummy's x

I'm merrily being induced. Waters have gone and I've started having small contractions. Hurrah!

Congratulations to all the new arrivals. I was due a sweep tomorrow at 40 +2, but I have decided to cancel it. My reason being I would really like a water birth but am pretty certain that over a bank holiday weekend I would have pretty much zero chance of having one. My last baby born in Sept they pretty much laughed in my face when I arrived at hospital and requested one. Obviously if labour starts naturally over the weekend then so be it, but I don't want to encourage things.
At my hospital there is 1 water birth suite between everyone and as you need someone with you the whole time, I'm guessing it never gets used. Very disappointing.
Still absolutely nothing happening here!

Congratulations on the babies ladies. I ended up being monitored this morning in hospital as mw said baby's heart rate was up when I saw her.
All is fine with baby and I convinced the me at the hospital to give me a sweep she said I am 4cm dilated and is convinced I will be in labour tonight/tomorrow. Am now home in pain bouncing like a maniac on my ball

Esther Florence arrived this evening weighing 8lb 6oz. All done on gas and air with just two pushes to get her out! Very tired and waiting to be allowed to go home.

I am 37+5 and im really fed up now. Im hoping my mw will give me a sweep next week but im not sure she will as I will only b 38+4 :(

Congrats on all the babies! Looking forward to the next few. Not sure I'm ready yet to be honest, 38.5 today which is when my ds made his arrival. Happy to hold out a little longer although I'm quite uncomfortable at times. Hearing of the other babies arrivals is starting to help me feel ready.

Congrats, my due date tomorrow, going to go out for dinner with family to keep my mind off things. Come on baby time to get a move on :)
