Hey so I'm very new to this but I just wanted to get a few things off my chest and save my partner from another night of moaning!

I'm currently 38+2 and I'm feeling more and more uncomfortable each day... I am so hormonal and forever shouting at my loved one Sad! Every day things are becoming even more unbearable, just turning over in bed hurts!! I've been having a lot of pain when doing daily tasks such as walking and by the end of the day I'm in agony!! My midwife said it is SPD or something.

Anyway sorry about the complaining I am very privileged and excited to meet our little boy and still have had very little signs that he will enter the world anytime soon... I only ever tend to feel 1 or 2 Braxton Hicks at night which are very very mild, I've also not had any sort of show that I know of... I get the odd sharp pain that shoots through my cervix but that is about it!!! Has anyone ever gone into labour out of the blue with no signs? And is anyone else feeling as fed up as I am... Or am I just a moaning mertal Grin.

I know patience is key and he will arrive when he's ready but I just feel like everyone else is having their babies and I'm going to be a whale forever!!! Rant over.

Still here too! Had a bit of a dodgy tummy all morning but no doubt due to all the curry I've been eating rather than any labour clear out! Keeping my fingers crossed that sweep on Tuesday gets this going......DHs birthday is on the 22nd and we've joked all along that baby is aiming for the same date...I'll be 40+7 by then so it's likely......

Just come back from a walk in the woods and have had a show! So maybe today/tomorrow?

GingerScouse · 17/08/2014 16:30

A big one? I had a little one on Friday night which turned into nothing.

Ellie2elysia · 17/08/2014 16:37

Yes pretty big!

Mmolly2013 · 17/08/2014 16:52

My doctor perscribed me iron tablets and little did I know they turn your poo black (tmi). I mean as if labour isn't indignified enough without giving the midwife a peak of your black poo and your dp so I've stop taking them. I'm not anaemic or anything he just wanted me to take them for the rigours of bloodloss in labour, I'll take them after.

startwig1982 · 17/08/2014 17:33

Molly I'm on iron tablets too, although I am very anaemic. Fortunately they've raised my Hb levels enough so I can go to the mw led unit and not the big hospital. The black poo is gross though!

Mmolly2013 · 17/08/2014 17:34

1 down and 14 to go :). I'm so excited to meet my little boy but I must admit I'm growing more and more nervous about labour...

Mmolly2013 · 17/08/2014 18:11

Me 2 I literally have no fingers left from anxiously bitting them also struggling to sleep at night due to anxiety, wish I knew what I was in for.

Redling · 17/08/2014 18:22

Ah massive congratulations! Not bad going between 3am and 2pm, a good solid 12 hour labour! I've had a show and some contractions on and off all day, now lying in the bath pissed off that there's no progression! Please please please let it be tonight, he's sooooo ready! Been cuddling my 7 week old niece all afternoon, just smelling her, maybe hormones will kick in! Good luck tonight everyone :)

Ellie2elysia · 17/08/2014 19:41

All I know is that I'm in for a lot of pain BUT then I get to meet the most amazing gift of all... Exciting but definitely nerve wrecking :)
