Hello berry copter. I've been swinging on the end of the rope and gradually climbing up it every day that I get continued Bfp. So given that's nearly a week ago I figured it was time to find you. Thanks for welcoming me before I had the guts to join (thanks for the prompt lady!) I guess it's time to now board the copter!
Can't quite believe I'm here...still a bit of a dream but also terrified and lovely.

Pipbin · 14/12/2014 15:17

Come in and get comfy Pixie.

RevoltingPeasant · 14/12/2014 16:03

How's everyone?

After a couple of weeks of insomnia plus house guests, I slept for eleven hours last night and feel like magic!! Ahhh.

Going over to friend's tonight to pick up batch of newborn clothes she is kindly donating - I am going to have to start washing and putting them away soon Shock

Also need to get hospital bag ready in case of transfer, eek! And move all the crap out of the dino's room. I thought I was super organised but I'm 33w tomorrow and there is so much to do, and I don't want to leave it all till I'm too whale like to bend down!

Feather can't believe mat leave has rolled around already! I'm going off on 19th Jan. I decided to leave it late for money reasons plus am still feeling okay now, so fx that continues.

pip I am sure your aunt is right. She would not get your hopes up if she thought the clinic was justified in being so cautious. Your next scan is Tues, right?

We have got our repeat fetal anomaly scan on Thurs so hoping all well there Confused win have you got another one too, for the placenta wotsit?

greatbigbushybeard · 14/12/2014 23:07

Hello pixie, now get yourself settled!

Sounds exciting rp and like it's getting very real!!

My hungry/ edge of nausea continues. Gave in to the macdonalds urge yesterday- nom nom! Had a gorgeous Sunday lunch at my mum & dad's today, which included sprouts. Let's just say decorating the tree tonight was a very windy affair- dh more than me!!

RevoltingPeasant · 14/12/2014 23:12

Ah we did our tree tonight Xmas Smile

Yes I am now the proud owner of a whole bunch of newborn clothes -wibble!! Dino has been kicking so hard tonight that you can see it through my clothes!

Pipbin · 14/12/2014 23:17

We did our tree too. With help

She got in the tinsel by herself.

Pip you have a very cute cat! Good to see her continuing to sit on you!
RP how exciting to get clothes! I think it must be one of the best parts.
My trees went up at wknd too. Was insistent on a real one but also put the old artificial one up so it didn't feel left out.

I was pleased to hear of the symptoms/lack of that you recent joiners are experiencing. I have belly pains, hunger and weeing has just started getting more frequent last couple of days but that's it. 2 wks still before the early scan and time is dragging so bad, wish it was before Xmas. Am still convinced it's all gonna go tits up.
Thanks for the app suggestion. Another thing to obsess on.
Pip and bushy so pleased to hear scans went well. Pip I'm sure nothing to worry about. When's the repeat scan?
Is spare not in the copter?
Lovely to hear the news of you berries that I was in touch with before the dark days. Bunny's arrival, boom no.2 and all the other grads...so pleased to see copter has been doing well.

Pipbin · 15/12/2014 12:42

Repeat scan at 10.30 tomorrow. They would like to see one weeks worth of growth.

Pixie001 · 15/12/2014 14:22

Pip keep talking with ganesha and let us know how it goes tomorrow.

sparechange · 15/12/2014 17:21

Hi pixie
Hi everyone!
So the reality of being pregnant have hit home in the last 24 hours. I had to bite the bullet and buy some maternity trousers yesterday because wearing normal trousers while eating makes me feel really sicky now. So I dragged DH to a maternity shop and then we both stood there looking a bit black. Finally came out with a pair of jeans and pair of leggings and oh my they are comfy!
And this morning, I had a check up at the dentist, and ticked the 'pregnant' box when doing my registration form so got my treatment free! I'm going back tomorrow for a hygienist session Grin (those will be my teeth)

Other than that, the anxiety levels are rising ahead of the scan on Friday. My logical brain is pointing to my giant boobs, 8pm bedtime and morning, noon and night sickness but all I can think about is the 1 in 4 stat.
This I going to be a long week Sad

RevoltingPeasant · 15/12/2014 18:10

spare if Friday is your 12w/ dating scan then after that, your 1:4 stat improves dramatically so just hold onto that.

pip good luck for tomorrow! Please come and tell us how it went if you can, as we'll all be thinking of you.

Am 33w today - it's so weird. I am having trouble believing there will touch wood be an actual baby. In spite of the fact I can feel the kicks against my cervix (fun times) it still feels awfully theoretical and remote somehow! Luckily am still feeling pretty good and fairly active.

win feather how are you two this week? Win are you at 35 w yet?

sparechange · 15/12/2014 19:10

RP just a mere 8 week scan Blush

thelentil · 15/12/2014 19:38

Oh I hadn't thought of the dentist, that's a perk! At this stage there aren't many. Carrying a tree across town whilst feeling fat and tired and a tiny bit pukey is not much fun

thelentil · 15/12/2014 19:39

Do your chances improve if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks RP?

Pipbin · 15/12/2014 19:46

From what I understand the stats improve after 8 weeks to about 2%. Chances are good if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks too.

sparechange · 15/12/2014 19:53

Dr Google says if you see the heartbeat at 8 weeks, there is a 96-98% chance of the pregnancy progressing to full term. At 12 weeks, that goes up to 99%

Pixie001 · 15/12/2014 20:50

My early scan is at 7 wks if I've calculated it properly....although it is confusing trying to work it out from ivf. My consultant booked me in so I'm sure it's fine being so early? Or should i look to postpone scan by a week not that I can imagine waiting that long given what the last week has felt like!.
Spare wow moving on to mat trousers already! I do feel bloated but was imagining this is an interim feeling rather than growing already? Anyway I've got all my 'big clothes' in the loft I can move into later on before I get to buying new stuff!

RevoltingPeasant · 15/12/2014 22:41

I think yeah, if I recall right, it's after either 8 or 9 w that your chances go over 95%. I think! Anyhow it's a very good thing to see the HB then.

I went into mat clothes really early as my tummy just felt bloated. No prizes for being uncomfortable!!

greatbigbushybeard · 16/12/2014 00:20

Ahhh pip she's just gorgeous. Love how cats get into everything. I had a little lap stroke of my mum & dad's 17 yr old cat, he's deaf as a post and getting all scrawny but has a v good life. Not long to go to scan, channelling you good vibes and to pixie and spare.

pixie it is reassuring to hear re the lack of symptoms. The hunger/ nausea thing is pretty rubbish though. I feel crap at the mo, woke up yesterday with a really swollen, sore throat and still loads of blasted phlegm hanging around. I toughed it out with no medication until lunch time today when I felt so bad I took paracetamol. Amazing how much better it makes you feel. I've been a bit off my food in that I don'.t know what I want & things like a cup of tea aren't even that nice anymore, just having water. Luckily I am working at home tomorrow but do actually have rather a lot to do so really hope I feel better. Dh has been really sweet and made me scrambled eggs on toast and is sleeping in the back room as he doesn't want to disturb me.

rp know what you mean about it all seeming a bit theoretical & remote. A colleague brought her baby in today and Ihe was v cute but I felt quite detached from it all. Another colleague who knew about the mmc patted my shoulder on the way back to class. I have totally kept stum about this pg.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 08:14

Bushy. That is so nice of your colleague. I always find it so touching when people just give a little sign of understanding.

A friend handed me her baby the other day and I just thought 'what do you want me to do with that?'

DH is getting excited now. He keeps looking at other people's prams and nappy bags when we are out.
Just hope this scan is all ok.

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 13:08

Today's scan was fine! 10 days growth in one week!
The sack is small but everything else is ok. Good size and heartbeat.

ladybunnikins · 16/12/2014 13:16

That's great Pip! Now you can stop worrying for 10 seconds until you find something else to stress about!

RevoltingPeasant · 16/12/2014 13:37

Yay Pip!! So what are the next steps? Are you being referred for a 'normal' dating scan now?

Grin at looking at other people's nappy bags. Parenting is tres glamorous.

bushy if it helps I felt bloody rotten for the 16-17 weeks (vomiting, hayfever as twas summer but couldn't take meds, repeat horrible cold sores) but now feel really pretty good, barring odd jabs in the ribs/ cervix and occasional insomnia. But I feel well in myself iyswim so it will likely all pass.

Have my repeat anomaly scan in 48 hours - eek - really hoping the dino's kidneys are better as it is horrid to think of a tiny baby having to have medicine and surgery :( He is definitely very active though: kick-kick-kick under right ribs whilst something (head???) is periodically pushing down onto cervix, which is the WEIRDEST feeling.

lady have you felt movement yet?

Pipbin · 16/12/2014 13:42

Of to regular NHS stuff now RP! We can have follow up scans at the clinic but we will need to pay for them.

greatbigbushybeard · 16/12/2014 14:55

Yaypip what a grower!! That's great. Mine said they were releasing us to nhs too, seems weird after all of this! It was v sweet of my colleague, I'd love to tell her but keeping stum til past 12 weeks. Totally know what you mean re people handing you babies and not knowing what to do with them. Think this will get worse when everyone knows we're pg, kinda like you should know what to do with one as you are growing one. Lol at dh checking out the nappy bags.

Well no wonder I felt shit, went to doctors today and have tonsillitis and chest infection. She's prescribed me a safe antibiotic and got it free ( even though haven't done the exemption form yet!). She said I should feel better in 24-48 hours. I was considering going in tomorrow but tbh I need to look after me and the bub so have said I'm not in tomorrow and will let head know about thursday.

rp glad you've been feeling well. Hope Dino's kidneys are good on the scan too. The pushing on the cervix does sound v weird!!
