Oh puppy that's crappy. FX everything is ok. Not long to go
(Not tempted on heading to Facebook in time for mini puppy arrival?)

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/05/2014 19:52

Kitty I'm still here Grin we're renovating and I was working so not been on-line, takes more than clenching to scare me off Wink

Hi Jess and congrats! I'm starting maternity on 15th July, can't wait! When do you start yours? Everything going ok?

Off to catch up properly but hope everyone is ok Smile

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/05/2014 20:01

Puppy hope you're feeling better now and that bump is ok Thanks

Bushy hope things are looking ok now Thanks

Kitty congrats! happy dance

I'm feeling good, popped to midwives yesterday for an extra check as ankles were very swollen but everything fine and bump is kicking away Smile August seems too far away though!

PuppyMummy · 21/05/2014 20:08

merk im not on facebook!

May end up being induced next week if still issues at scan.

greatbigbushybeard · 21/05/2014 20:45

Oh puppy sorry about your bad exp! hope bump is just fine.

sidney thank you so much! your words are spot on. Thanks for the finger crossing, I would really love for everything to be ok. I phoned clinic, weren't much help, just said lump was tissue related to pg. Nurse thought it will be a negative and to try to wait til Sunday as any hormone will be gone by then and give a proper result. She'd previously said to test Friday. I don't think I can wait till Friday. We're camping with friends so I'd rather know so I know if I can have a drink or not. Also know if I'm not drinking know my friends will immediately think something is up. So think will buy a two pack, test Friday and again Sunday.

CatsCantFlyFast · 22/05/2014 07:59

Bushy your clinic sound very unhelpful

Puppy can you not join fb under a fake name just so you can join the group?

jessplussomeonenew · 22/05/2014 13:21

Puppy, that sounds like a really unhelpful scan experience - is there someone you can talk to who is more informative?

Dartmoor, all well so far, second trimester a vast improvement on the first, wondering how the third will be! I'm going on maternity leave either the 23rd of July or first August depending on how I'm feeling. Enjoying being on holiday though it's nearly over now.

Bushy, sorry your clinic are pessimistic - I can understand the desire to retest as soon as possible. Fingers still crossed for you.

BlindKitty · 22/05/2014 20:56

bushy sorry to hear your clinic are being shit. I imagine from their perspective they want to see what will happen so are giving it time but some hand holding wouldn't go amiss

puppy sure I've suggested this before but we could pick a fb name for you if you like? Know you've been told you might get induced next week but you're due anyway aren't you? You might beat them to it!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys Smile

Anyone else having trouble with the app? Mine wont connect at all.

Rang hospital and spoke to a very helpful midwife yesterday. She went to speak to a consultant to answer my questions and rang me back. Feel much better now and baby was super wriggly yesterday as well.

Am still worried but no longer terrified so that's good!

Last day of work today cos we break for half term, although mat leave not official til my due date!

Foodylicious · 23/05/2014 15:06

Yay puppy for leave! Dont know how yiu have worked so long, you must be nails!
glad you got to speak to a helpful midwife!
I had a worrying night with a quiet baby and a trip to MAU in the early hours. All ok and baby being super wriggly as normal today has mafe me feel better (for now).

Foodylicious · 24/05/2014 05:23

DartmoorDoughnut · 24/05/2014 17:31

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, we're moving into our bedroom - we've been renovating since we bought last March so I'm very happy, and slightly shattered! - bump has been kicking the crap outta me so I reckon it's excited too!

PuppyMummy · 25/05/2014 09:23

I'm just a lowly teacher from Leeds!! FB just not my thing!

PuppyMummy · 26/05/2014 08:42

Its very quiet in here again!

Hope everyone has some nice bank holiday plans? I'm back in bed with the dog and goin to do some cleaning later!

On the plus side the sun is back out!

Foodylicious · 26/05/2014 20:31

Hi PUPPY
been to mau this morning for bloods as ridiculiouly itchy. Baby monitored for an hour and they more than happy with baby, will be a couple of days for blood results so trying not to worry. Got some calamine lotion.

done a few bits around the house, put pram together and bouncy chair. They have been sat in boxes for agesand I thought Iit was about time I was brave!
HV coming tomorrow so more tidying to do, but it mightwait until tomorrow now, she is not coming til the afternoon

PuppyMummy · 27/05/2014 09:37

foody hows the itching today? Glad baby ok and hope ur results r quick and they get you sorted.

Are you at LGI or St J? Scan for me again today hoping its not the same Sonographer as last week. Will hav OH with me this time so that will help.

How many weeks r u now?

Foodylicious · 27/05/2014 13:20

Itching is about the same, I would expect 1st bloods to be back today so taking no contact from them as a good sign.

Am at LGI - I have been for lots of scans and never seen the same person so hoping you get someone different!
37+2 today? how about you???
Good luck with the scan x x

Foodylicious · 27/05/2014 13:21

Oh and HV off sick so not doing anything today apart from resting Smile

PuppyMummy · 27/05/2014 13:49

Scan was v good. Different (female) Sonographer. Was much better than last time and consultant explained more too.

Everything back to normal with baby so no concerns (yay!) Was offered a sweep but hav declined for now as he isnt fully engaged yet, getting there tho!

Dont need to go back unless im concerned about movement.

Im at St J but some of my nct friends r at LGI.
Im 39+3 today!

Im pottering doin bits of cleaning, could get used to this!

Foodylicious · 27/05/2014 13:53

wow, 39+3!
glad all went well x x

Bunnygirlie · 27/05/2014 14:51

Wow 2 more berry babies coming soon then!

So very quiet in here, people far too busy with those babies, here I was thinking it was easy Wink

jessplussomeonenew · 27/05/2014 14:53

Glad scan went well Puppy - due date getting close now!

Foody, glad they're happy that the baby's OK though the itching must be infuriating.

I'm back home now - glad to have a short week to ease back into work - unbelievably from next week it's only 8-9 weeks before I go on maternity leave. And between all the the scans, midwife and consultant appointments etc I'll be working from home more and more, which will be great as I'm starting to find the trains quite uncomfortable. I'm definitely starting to slow down because of being heavier and more awkward - think we went on holiday just in time! I'm 26 weeks now, so third trimester is getting close, so I guess it's all about getting slower, fatter and more kicked from here on out! My maternity jeans already don't fit very well over my hips which is a bit disappointing :( Thank heavens for dresses and maternity leggings :)

Anybody done aquanatal/yoga/pilates and have any recommendations about which is best? I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep playing tennis Tennis so it would be good to have some plans lined up to keep active in a more sedate way!

Foodylicious · 27/05/2014 15:30

Hi jess I did yoga, but would recommend pilates if you want something that resembles exercise.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed yoga and did not do any exercise for the first 4 months due to anxiety (mc last year), then was too uncomfly/unfit to do anything and have a rubbish back so even walking more than just pottering around has been difficult.
I was really looking forward to aquanatal, but the classes were cancelled at the last minute doe to not being enough people signed up for the classes. I went swimming a couple of times and loved the feeling of weightlessness in the water.
Thinking about it now I might even go this week just to bob about a bit! will have to see if I have anything to wear that wont result in me getting arrested for indecency.
have google and see what is on in your area, I spent too long looking and not enough time organising so had no fall back when yoga was a bit too tame and aqua was cancelled.

Oh and try not to worry too much about being uncomfy being a sign of things to come - I had weeks when I was really tired and achey and thought 'god this is only going to get worse as I get bigger' but then the next week my body would have adjusted and I could get around easier again (for a bit anyway Smile)
