Xpost - glad you've been reassured squiz, hope you feel ok now?

Seasides hi! Yes I always have had pain like that, none of my losses were ectopic and this one is going OK at 18 weeks! But it must be so scary having had one before. Fx for your scan! :) most likely it will be fine! The vast majority of women have a perfectly normal pg after ectopic or other loss.

Thank you squiz - I'm so excited to be here, this thread always seemed like the pearly gates of unattainable heaven after month after month of flat white BFNs. Time is going so slowly until Wed, I wish it was Wed night and I had good news under my belt!

Thank you all for the welcome, and Tins and Squiza for the advice and reassurance re. clexane. I think it'll be fine once that first injection is out of the way. Never have I been so grateful for my roll of fat around my belly! Did you start on the clexane at bfp or hb on scan? Did you just go to your gp and they prescribed based on your consultants letter or did you have to see your consultant again? Sorry for the barrage of questions. Can't believe how clueless I am over something so important.

Squiza - I wish I could advise you in return but I have no idea. Hopefully someone more clued up will be along soon.

Debby - I've also heard lots of stories of bleeding in pregnancy where all has been fine. I hope you manage to see your gp tomorrow. What's your EPU access like?

Mint I just rang my GP and said I had a letter and a bfp, and they did me the prescription that day (as they have a system where you ring and they prioritise you that day or next day according to urgency). Took 5 min! Got very vague instructions but YouTube has better!

mint GP prescribed based on consultants letter. Started at 5+ weeks after an initial scan showed sac in the uterus.

seasides welcome and congratulations! I hope Wednesday will put your mind at rest that this time bean is in the right place.

squiz at 18 weeks my movement was like that off and on but once id felt it I wanted to feel it all the time I would get myself in a right state thinking something was wrong, I would only get a flutter if I sat down really quiet and still, never lying down where now I get kicks and wriggles when im walking around etc. It's a scary and worrying time but I'm sure everything is just fine :)

We went for a 4d scan today and we couldn't see a thing! Baby is still breech but was so curled up we couldn't see the face the feet were on the forehead! We did catch it playing with it's toes which was really cute :) hopefully when we go back it will have moved a bit

Butterfly shy baby! Bless how cute but I bet you wanted a glimpse of the face!
Thanks, very reassuring that it comes and goes. MW said similar ... The NCT site (I only use NCT and NHS) was worded vaguely... It never quite said "start counting by week 24" so I got worried. Never mind, glad the NHS have an out of hours MW phone number in my area, and for you guys on MN. :)

I would trawl the internet looking for what movement should be like at this week and that week it's scary being pregnant wish I could relax and enjoy it but I don't think any of us on here ever will unfortunately, my baby literally did not stop moving all day yesterday even in the early hours of this morning yet today has hardly moved at all I think if I hadn't had a scan today I would have been ringing up about it!

Hi all

Debbylou I had brown blood and passed quite a lot of tissue with it at 6 weeks, also cramping at bit. Was convinced I was having another MC. But turns out everything was fine and it was just bubs burrowing in. I think it's very common around the 5-6 week stage when the embryo is bedding in.

I'm now 10+4 - still nervous but nothing has come close to that first scare at 6 weeks.

Hope this reassures you. Am sure all is fine.

seasides I'm so pleased to see you!!!! I still check the ttc board as I care a lot about you ladies on there and did spot your bfp! So chuffed for you and that one of the other long standing threaders has made it over Grin
I had one sided pain but it was never explained as no cyst or ectopic. I think it's a really good sign of no bleeding and different sort / lesser pain. Just two days til scan.

bakingtins · 14/04/2014 07:39

debby hope you can be seen today. Do try asking the GP to just refer you without seeing you first. I know from bitter experience there's nothing a GP can do for you other than arrange a referral. If you're not offered an appointment ASAP ask for a phone appointment to just talk to a GP then hopefully they will get things moving at EPU for you. Good luck!

Thanks so much fedup! I'm still lurking over there too, not quite ready to cut the cord - delighted to join you here though Grin Glad to hear you felt a similar thing, and I'm so please to see things going well for you. Well done on the new pg wardrobe additions!

debby, I hope you get an appointment and some reassurance soon, that's rubbish that your EPU won't see you.

debby hope you get an appointment somewhere today, if you can't get in with the gp still go to a&e it's a last resort as you could wait hours and they aren't the most sensitive people in the world but it might get you to where you need to be. Good luck and fingers crossed. for you

Ummm, it's me, Tea, I seem to have managed to name change totally without meaning to when I did the MN password reset. WM is my name on a totally different work-related forum (duh), so I must have done something stupid. I'll go and see if I can reset it. Very disconcerting!

Workingmamma · 14/04/2014 10:32

Sorry everyone, I really can't figure out how to change it. I've tried putting in TeaAndANatter in my profile, but it says that profile belongs to someone else. Arg?! I have lost my identity. Any help gratefully received.

Working/Tea - fx it's soooooooooooooon! :)

I think I've worked out why I'm not feeling flutterings. I'm got that there new fangled "popping" lying in bed this morning. Bean seems to have decided fluttering is far to ladylike! Grin so long as something's happening every day I'm happy till 22-24 weeks.

Exciting about the show. I've been getting lots and lots of snot when I wipe and so many Braxton hicks but nothings happening here yet. [grumpy]

Did I tell you all I had a growth scan on Friday? At 35+6 he measuring 41 weeks! I have a consultant appointment on Wednesday and hopefully they will talk induction. So scare of having another big baby (dd2 was 10lb 9oz!)

Welcome to all the newbies, it's good to see you here and I hope you all have uneventful pregnancies xx

Debbie I had red fresh blood at 9ish weeks, was completely terrified, convinced I was loosing him but I'm still here at 36+2. Sometimes there are unexplained bleeds, they aren't normal but can be ok xx

Hello! thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing - tea this is very exciting! All of my friends who had a show told me it was 24-48hours before the baby arrived :) Surely this must be it?! Keeping Fx for you xx

Cbeebies that all sounds very promising, really hope it isn't too much longer for you, especially with the bubba being a good size already! Did they tell you a weight at your scan? I had one two weeks ago and they said he weighed in at 7.5lbs Shock so needless to say, every morning i wake up still pregnant I have a panic attack about having to push out a giant baby!

Still nothing for me, keep having the occasional contraction but it never builds into anything which is making me exceedingly Angry and impatient for something to happen!

Welcome to all the newbies! Glad to see lots of new people on the thread, wishing you all happy pregnancies!

Debby keeping fx everything is ok for you and you get to see someone at EPU. I had a bleed at 6 weeks and another at 9weeks and here I am with a wiggly bean. So it doesn't always mean the start of an MC //hug

Sigh, just wrote long post and lost it when ipad ran out of battery.

I am not having a good time at the moment so sorry if this post is rather self-involved.
I have ulcerative colitis and it's been fine up until just over a week ago when it suddenly decided to go into flare. I'm going to the loo about 15 times a day, losing a lot of blood and generally feeling rubbish. Can't go for more than about 2hrs max without needing to rush to the loo, mostly it's less than that, and it continues through the night.
On top of that, today I've had some jelly-like discharge which I'm worried means my plug is coming away. There hasn't been loads and I've had no pain or bleeding from that area.

I think the baby is ok. It seems to still be moving, and a check up on friday with the gp showed everything was ok.
Later today I'm supposed to have an appointment about my flare - as long as I can get there without having an embarrassing accident on public transport. I've tried to work from home today but can't really concentrate.
I just wish I could fast forward the next couple of months and have my baby. Doesn't feel like I'll ever get there at the moment.

Kjh, no he is so big she couldn't get everything she needed on the scream a the same time, plus she was very worried as legs are measuring 36 weeks so wanted to get me upstairs to see the consultant. That didn't actually happen though Hmm as the midwives thought it wasn't a problem and were happy for me to wait 2 weeks until my consultant appointment. I had a panic attack at the thought of baby growing into a baby elephant in tha time and completely broke down. They found an appointment for me on Wednesday as it's te best they can do. Again Hmm

Anyway just went to the toilet and I think the snot is turning pink!! (The irony of being completely scared of finding pink/red/brown when you are in the early stages compaired to the pure pleading it will be loos as that means things are almost over at the end Hmm Grin) although I have had faint blood spotting throughout, I'm really hoping this is it. I am officially done and fed up!
