Nerdy how far are you? The plug can regenerate itself and sometimes does star coming out in the 3rd tri. As long as there is no blood, it should be ok xx
Sorry about the flare though, that sounds like the sucky eat thing ever, hope the dr can help.

NerdyBird · 14/04/2014 13:08

I'm just over 26 weeks. Not had anymore jelly stuff so far, and there's no blood, maybe a spot or two of darker discharge. Baby seems to now be sat on my bladder too so there's extra loo trips for that!

kjh5 · 14/04/2014 13:13

Oh nerdy hug! That sounds utterly rubbishy, glad you are seeing the doc later on today. Sounds like your bubba is just fine in there if you can feel movement! Hope you have a good appt this afternoon and they can sort something out for you xx

cbeebies good that you are seeing the consultant this week! I must admit our sonographer had a bit of a trial trying to get measurements from my bean two weeks ago but she did manage it eventually. It's interesting you say that about the leg measurement. Our baby has really short legs - in the lower 5th centile but a BIG head and tummy (both measure in the 90th centile). The sonographer didn't seem too worried about it though as I'm quite short, she just told me I'd need a 'big push' and had a good old chuckle to herself... Hmm

Alb1 · 14/04/2014 13:14

Thanks for all the fish flapping the other day, I'm tryna tell myself it's jus me panicking n to stop being crazy. I still can't feel the baby move (20+2) and although iv been told it's normal I can't help but worry, just feels like itl never happen! Getting paranoid that they'll say something's wrong with him at the scan on Wednesday and that's why I havnt felt him yet (I do have an anterior placenta tho so I'm hoping it's just that!)

debby welcome, and I hope you manage to get seen very soon, it must be a very stressful time!

nerdy sorry to hear your suffering, it sounds awful, hopefully they can do somethin to help at ur appointment later (although I don't no anythin about it so sorry if they can't)

cbeebies fx this is it for you then! How far along are you now?

Hello and sorry to any other new joiners iv missed, I'm fairly rubbish at keeping track as I'm always on my phone!

Debbylou · 14/04/2014 13:17

Thank you again guys did manage to see gp this morning refered straight away to epu but got to wait until Thursday for a scan , more blooming waiting :-/

NerdyBird · 14/04/2014 13:54

Had more jelly stuff just now. Am on train to colitis appointment, hoping I make it. Train has no loo! Will have to try and call midwife about discharge stuff when at hospital. Am at different ones for UC and baby.

HopefulHamster · 14/04/2014 15:38

Hi all, thought I'd post as I prefer stuff on 'threads I'm on' to 'threads I'm watching' but don't have much to say!

Allegedly 15 weeks now with my second child (third pregnancy), but no bump, just a bit fatter. Feeling a bit paranoid that I should be bigger by now. Also not feeling any movements (I do feel something but I think it's gas as it's a swell of movement not something small and delicate), which is normalish, but ack!

I am very very very congested which is doing my head in - I think it's the end of a cold rather than pregnancy rhinitis.

Thinking of you NerdyBird and Debbylou hopefully all is well.

Hoping Jbrd gets good results soon.

And to everyone else worrying (sorry have only skim read the whole thread), we've all been there, or are still there, but today we are pregnant!

Penguinita · 14/04/2014 16:44

Hiya seaside, how lovely to see another TTC thread graduate! And welcome to the other newbies too, wishing you all straightforward and boring pregnancies.

I had cysts on my right ovary at my last MC, they gave me terrible stitch like pain. This time round they couldn't see any on the scan, but I still get a lot of stitches in the same place so I think there is still something there.

Wishing you lots of good luck for your scan on Thursday debby although it is rubbish that you have to wait so long. No pain is good though.

Poor you nerdy, that sounds horrific. Hope you get to the docs ok and they can help you out.

I'm enjoying the baby race between tea and cbeebies and kjh!

Hoping I don't jump the queue. I had my 34 weeks midwife appointment today and she said the head was firmly fixed in my pelvis, but "don't worry, it doesn't mean you will go into labour straight away". I nearly had a coronary, it had better bloody not! Grin

Mashoona88 · 14/04/2014 17:27

Hello

I'm new this thread, and to mumsnet in fact, but I can already feel the pressure releasing like a valve while typing and sharing. I'm 9 weeks pregnant - my third pregnancy following a missed miscarriage in January at 12 weeks. I was so confident with my first that everything would be alright (the hyperemesis was reassuring!) but I have been to the EPU once already with pain and unshakeable paranoia that this pregnancy will end like the last. I'm obsessing over everything, to the extent I've convinced myself I'm having twins one minute and that a twinge is the onset of a miscarriage the next.

How do I chill out?? I'm going a wee bit nuts (and counting days until my next scan..)

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 14/04/2014 17:58

Penguin I don't think I'm really in this race! I'm 36 weeks and whilst I know something's going on, I'm not 100% convinced this is it!

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 14/04/2014 18:06

Mash, the parinoia is normal following a miscarriage :( I'm so sorry you are here, it's beyond crap and unfair, but congratulations.

My advice is to take one day at a time, keep going, one foot in front of the other until you realise you are not taking it one day at a time anymore!

I have lots of medical appointments so used thoes to keep me distracted, I lived appointment to appointment (dd1 and dd2 have various 'problems' although noting serious and made full use of the open EPAU referral)

Keep going, just get to the end of tomorrow and then he end of Wednesday and then Thursday and before you know it another week is done xx

BabyTinks · 14/04/2014 18:09

Evening girls! Can i join :)

Mc mid november 2013, finally got my bfp yesterday the only month we dont bother trying and it happens! We couldnt be happier but still that constant worry!
I have the doctors tomorrow.....
Is there any questions you girls can think of i can ask that youv maybe asked and helped??

Mashoona88 · 14/04/2014 18:21

Thanks, Cbeebies. Just skimmed back through the thread, with my first I had the pink snot sitch a couple of weeks before labour, followed by what I thought was a hind water leak for the remainder of my preg (but didn't tell my midwife as I didn't want to be induced and movements etc all stayed fine).

Anyways, everyone's different but you might not be right at the end yet - hoping the remainder is fret-free (is it ever?) and for a wonderful birth for you.

What a brilliant thing this thread is. DH barely acknowledges we're preg because he's scared, I think, so it's lovely to get some same-boaty interaction x

KeepingTheFaith9 · 14/04/2014 18:38

Hi everyone, I just thought I would post and give you an update on the fetal heart monitor which arrived on Friday and which I've had fun using.

As suggested by you lovely ladies, I didn't have too higher hopes for hearing too much but I'm glad to report I've heard the baby's heartbeat on several occasions and at the weekend (when we told my family - all 11 of them at our weekend cottage break!) I was able to share this sound with my mum, sisters and niece.

Am trying not to become to obsessive and monitor daily (tho it's tempting!)

Tomorrow I have my NHS nuchal test (quite late as I'm 13/3) but as a few of you will know I've already had 3 scans and the harmony blood test at the FMC.

Still anxious - scared always after the dreaded
MC scan last year, and just not feeling very pregnant at the mo, which I should be grateful for I guess but always makes me nervous... can't help it.

My DH is pretty rubbish in that dept. he is not coming to my scan tomorrow as he's busy working - which is fine but really not sure he appreciates how anxiety inducing they are - ho hum - men huh?

Off to my inlaws to give them the news in half an hour - they are going to be SHOCKED.

We have been together 17 years and a baby has always been something we've both said will never happen.

They are going to be very pleased - and have no clue!!
This is only the second grandchild as their granddaughter lives in Dubai and we only see her once a year..

I think I might film the reaction - lol!!

Well ladies - this is all from me, sending happy pregnancy vibes to you all.

Take care.
Keeping Grin

StarsInTheNightSky · 14/04/2014 18:39

Aha! I've found you all Smile. Had a few problems with the password reset etc and haven't been able to log on for a few days.

Oooh a who's going into labour first race Grin. Never sure if there should be one or two

fedupofrainydays · 14/04/2014 18:45

Oh nerdy that sounds so tough. I hope both aspects are better soon

Lula2515 · 14/04/2014 18:59

We had a scan today. My dates put me at 11weeks but they dated me at 10+4. My cycles are super irregular and normally 6ish weeks so that's ok, right?
Baby was very active and there seemed to be a lovely normal heartbeat. I know I'll never completely relax.... But at 10+4 how 'safe' is this one?! X

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 14/04/2014 19:04

Stars, unfortunately that may not happen. It's the norm for community midwives to vist at home, but because they are on call they may get called out to a home birth, or someone may ring in tears or they have to see a baby who isn't feeding etc and they will go straight there to lend support and there is no time limit on the visits.

It's a pita, as it goes on for 10 days, but it's kind of reassuring to know they would do it for you too if you needed it (3 hour home visit to help with breast feeding for example) she may stick to her word of 9am but she may not, and also in my expiearience (despite only seeing 1 midwife throughout pregnancy each time) it may not be your community midwife that comes and sees you, but it will be a community midwife.

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 14/04/2014 19:07

No pregnancy is 'safe' and unfortunately we know bette than most how some pregnancies end. However statistically once you've seen a heartbeat the chances of loosing the baby is around 10% so you're doing well Smile just remember it seems like it's higher on this thread because we are all here for that very reason, in the grand scheme of things, the likelyhood of you loosing a baby once the heartbeat has been seen is very slim

LondonJen · 14/04/2014 19:27

Hi everyone

Just catching up. Lovely to see so many newbies. Sorry you find yourselves here but great that Today You Are Pregnant!

The journey to tell dp's parents was horrid as I was travel sick the whole way there and back. That doesn't normally happen to me on motorways. I misjudged dp's Mum -no tears, she did a fist pump! She says "Now all I need is a ring on your finger". Yes. All YOU need. Grrr. She dropped it after I replied "oh no, none of that" so I didn't really want to bring it up again just to spell out that it's not on the card. I just want her to accept it as I find it tiresome she still insists on talking about it after 13 years and I can't be doing with another 13 more of the same!

Love that you went shopping fedup

Sorry stars and nerdy that you're having hard times.

Apologies if I forgot anyone my brain is much today. Hope everyone else is doing well.

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 14/04/2014 19:29

Welcome Mashoona & Tink

Tink, only private scans and Dopplers helped me to relax, a little, with DS2. This time around (5wks) I'm a bag of nerves as I have zero symptoms

Lula, that's fine and 10wk with a heartbeat is as safe as can be (think it's something like 97%? Not googling this pregnancy!)

Stars, how scary! Glad you're ok.
It's normal here too for community mw to not give an apt time (although last time it was am or pm), and my last one was an awful woman. Can't speak highly enough of all the mw's I've encountered..aside from her.

Faith, £5 on tears from MIL! Grin Hope you have a lovely time telling them x

BabyTinks · 14/04/2014 19:31

Im considering laying for a 8 week scan..... I dont even know how many weeks i am, checking the times we had sex in the month.... I could be 3 weeks 4 weeks or 6 weeks.... I need a scan to confirm but i dont fancy paying £80.00 for it!! But i might just have to suck it up lol

I've had no symptoms either, just a very late af sitting on cd43 yday i though im gonna test! bought some cheapies from b&m store done all 3 and it was sure i was preg, quite faint lines but definitely a line!

BabyTinks · 14/04/2014 19:32

Laying aka paying

bakingtins · 14/04/2014 19:52

Blimey, can't keep up with you lot!

Welcome to newbies. Tinks if you are only getting faint lines now I'd count that as 4 weeks even if it's longer based on LMP. You could try one of the clearblue tests to give you a better idea but be warned they aren't wildly accurate and can cause more angst!

lula a few days out from your dates is fine. Mc after HB at 8 weeks is 3%, if all ok at 12 weeks it's 1%, so I guess you have a 98% chance of success at this point. Stay positive!

stars that sounds scary! Glad you are both ok. My community MW is lovely, but it wasn't always her who visited me. She did phone me in the morning and give me an approximate time slot for visiting. I have other kids, I can't be in all day. I think it's reasonable to expect a certain amount of flexibility on both sides, but not to wait in all day on 5 days.

nerdy hope your appointment was helpful and they can get you back on an even keel, sounds miserable.

Sorry to those I've inevitably missed out!

BabyTinks · 14/04/2014 19:57

Thanks for that bakingtins :)
Yeah im thinking 4 weeks as well..... Hopefully get more answers tomorrow at the doctors i hope!!

Has anyone else been booked in for an early scan after having a mc??
