Quick bump question. I swear my bump is very slightly smaller today than yesterday! :( 21 weeks, had pleñty on movement, no pain. DH thinks maybe food/wind exaggerated it yesterday?
I couldn't prove it, it just feels slightly smaller (and I can suck it in further).

Jays43 · 05/05/2014 10:51

The waiting game is horrible. I'm trying so hard to just get on with it but just feel so low:( I'm the sort of person that likes to be in control and having to wait is horrible. I'm only at 6 +3 and really want a scan at 8 weeks but scared in case it makes me more worried(if that's possible)

squizita · 05/05/2014 11:02

Oh god he just said (totally ignorant this is a problem, think he thought it was a solution) "I can feel the uterus still low down." It's meant to get higher?? Its a bank holiday and I have no measurements to compare, so its pointless seeing a GP out of hours. :(

Where should your bump feel firm to at 21 weeks? Mine is firm to just above my belly button.

Jays43 · 05/05/2014 11:20

Squizita I remember when had my daughter my bump was different sizes all the time, it all depends on where baby lays and sometimes what you wear. Sometimes I felt like I was getting smaller. It was always a constant worry of mine. She was absolutely fine. My bump was hard by belly button. Sometimes the top of bump was soft sometimes hard. I'm sure everything is fine.

Tomkat79 · 05/05/2014 11:31

Morning all

Just popping in to say hi, can't believe I'm almost at the top of the stats list. I was actually due on the 3rd may so now I'm OD Grrr. I remember tentatively adding myself to the stats list all that time ago and the list above me looked so long.

What a rollercoaster ride...reading this thread and realised I've felt every emotion you're all experiencing. So good that this thread is here to go crazy vent on.

Sending you all lots of positivity. Now all I have to do is deliver this one safely (does the worry ever end!) xx

squizita · 05/05/2014 11:34

Jays thanks SO much! Sounds just like my situation where it is hard/soft. :) Much relieved!

Cuppachaplz · 05/05/2014 11:57

Hi squizita, I had no bump whatsoever until at least 26 weeks when pregnant with ds. Once I did have it varied with time of day, what I eaten and what I had been doing, and then shrunk again at about 36 weeks. Everyone I know says their bump is smaller in the morning than the evening. I think it varies from bump to bump as well as from day to day / hour to hour.

LondonJen · 05/05/2014 12:11

Oh Nerdy that sounds really stressful. Pretty sure my dp would be just the same. Do you think they can ever really get it? I am glad that everything is okay and that you got a cuddle in the end!

Hello Jays sorry to hear you've had a bad few days, not surprising you felt down, I'm gald you feel a bit better today and hopefully letting out some of your anxiety here will help. The first weeks are so hard but it does get better.

Ditzy early on I used to wake up in the night feeling awful like a lot must have been going on overnight. It wasn't long before I had all day nausea so be careful what you wish for!

I hope it doesn't stop your vbac MrsG and that it doesn't get any more painful/uncomfortable.

I didn't have an early scan as I didn't think it would help how I felt about this pregnancy. My mmc was at 10 weeks and seeing things were fine at 7 or 8 weeks would'n't have reassured me. However I know others here have found them take away some of the worry for a few days. Just to add another point of view.

Squiz I think someone posted on here earlier this week (forget who sorry) about bump depending on how baby is laid and if it's tucked itself into a corner?

Hope it's not too long for you now Tom!

First tri people I can not recommend distractions and making plans for the coming weeks enough. It really helped me to focus my mind on something else and as it turns out the dog I learnt to knit will now be baby's toy!

No news here, bump seems small today but wasn't very hungry yesterday so there's probably just less food bulking it up!

Alb1 · 05/05/2014 12:18

tomkat how exciting, I hope ur little one makes their arrival soon for you!

squiz I'm 23+2 an I think mine is jus above my belly button now, my bump also changes size, sometimes there's a smaller day and sometime it grows over the course of the day, iv been takin a pic every week tho (jus for my own reassurance) and so when I panic I can compare my bump from week to week.

How annoying, the rest of my message just got deleated, il try and redo it later...

MrsGiraffe12 · 05/05/2014 14:27

tomkat hi!! I remember you, you were so supportive and kind when I had my mc. I can't believe it's almost time for baby to arrive!! Good luck :-) x

Penguinita · 05/05/2014 14:42

Hello tomkat, I was wondering if you were still around! Nice to hear you are well. Keep us posted with developments.

Has anyone got a recommendation for a good non-subscription download service for films and box sets? I was just looking at blink box but I don't know what else is out there. I'll need something to keep me occupied during mat leave and night time breast feeding sessions.

I've updated the stats with tomkat's revised date and removed a couple of due dates over two weeks ago.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 05/05/2014 16:46

nerdy totality gets what you are worried about. I have a anteria placenta and I'm not feeling much for a start. And I definitely haven't felt anything for 2 days. I'm worried sick tbh.

squitz I'm a week behind you and atm my bump is all floppy and squishy. It could have been that I just woke from a nap? It's usually hard but I can't remember where it starts with respect to the belly button.

penguin Netflix, amazon prime video and now tv all have no contract. It is still subscription but you can cancel at any time. Amazon also does rental and so does iTunes and goggle play store. But honestly with the amount you will go through during maternity, you are better off paying a fix price for all you can eat!

OttersPocket · 05/05/2014 17:04

Hello lovlies, just popping in to say I'm ducking out of the thread for a while. Sadly my bfp turned into an early loss. I'm fine and will be back into ttc again very soon.

All the very best to all of you and I hope to be back to see you all again soon Smile

amicablemoomin · 05/05/2014 17:19

otters I was thinking about you today. I'm very sorry to hear that news and hope you will be back very soon. Take care of yourself.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 05/05/2014 18:38

otters I'm so sorry to hear that. It's something we all dread here and can understand. Take care and hopefully soon you will have a sticky bean.

MrsGiraffe12 · 05/05/2014 19:12

Thinking of you otters were all here for hand holding if you feel you need it xxx

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 05/05/2014 19:19

So sorry to hear that Otters. Take care of yourself and hope to see you back here soon

MabelMay · 05/05/2014 19:26

Oh otters - I'm really sorry. Hope you're okay in the coming days. I'm sure you'll be back here soon. Fingers crossed for you. xxx

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 05/05/2014 19:52

Sorry to hear that Otters, hope we see you here again ASAP. X

Penguinita · 05/05/2014 19:55

Very sorry to hear that otters. But great to hear that you are taking such a positive attitude. I'm sure you will be back here soon Flowers

OLTT thanks for the great advice, that is just fantastic. I had no idea that you could cancel Netflix etc at any time. With a free first 30 days trial I will definitely be able to get my money's worth! Grin

Emki · 05/05/2014 20:22

Sorry to hear your news otters sending lots of love

LondonJen · 05/05/2014 20:39

Sorry to hear your news Otters take good care of yourself x

Cuppachaplz · 05/05/2014 20:41

Sorry to hear that otters
Stay well x

OneLittleToddleTerror · 05/05/2014 20:47

penguinita definitely check out the terms first before you sign on. I think they are all doing no contract because the competition is so intense! i know friends who just signed up for now tv to watch games of thrones, for example, and will cancel as soon as the season finishes. But I think they reckon they can get you hooked?

Both netflix and amazon does 30 day free trials btw.

fedupofrainydays · 05/05/2014 21:26

Sorry to hear that otters
I was just thinking about you too today and what had happened after the cb digi. Sorry to hear it wasn't good news this time :( but I really hope you are back here very soon. Keep up the posifrickintivity, although i know it's so hard as I know you have been ttc for a while. But when you are ready I repeat...Chin up, tits out and get that TITH action underway! Take care xx
