Penguin - think Jbrd will appreciate if you take her off the stats too if you are near a computer. I can't do it on my phone.

Hello to newbies - and the first 12 weeks are the worst and we all know what you are going through. I would love to say I am zen about it all now being in second tri but nope!!

otters how are you today?

In the midst of potty training. It was ok until a sudden spell of 3 accidents in one hour!! 3!!!!

LondonJen · 03/05/2014 16:35

Hope you're feeling better Corp

Geat milestone Squiz!

Hello to j200 english and Cuppa, I wish you all very boring uneventful pregnancies. This is the place to vent all that angst.

Alb1 · 03/05/2014 16:44

Welcome j200 english and cuppa hope ur stay here is long and uneventful!

fedup o dear, 3 in an hour, how unlucky lol, I hope it's going well other than that tho!

Nothing eventful going on here, 23 weeks now and I have deffinate movement now, it's actually pretty uncomfortable aswell, it's like jolts rather than kicks, everyone says how lovely it is feeling ur baby move etc, but sometimes it kinda hurts! I do love that I can feel him move but with how everyone talks about it I thought it'd be more 'magical', am i strange?

Hope everyone's well Smile

CorporeSarnie · 03/05/2014 18:15

Hi all, not feeling too bad, have managed since 4:30 with no paracetamol. Took DD to see her GM today, went for a nice pub lunch by the river, she had a lovely time running around looking at sheep and eating chips. Finally got the NT results back as well, 1/1100, which is reassuring. Have told a few more friends and am feeling positive today.
fedup, the first day of 'big girl pants' DD had about 6 accidents. This last week, just one. If it is time, it will get much better very soon. If not, nothing ventured... And training in summer is a lot easier than in winter.
Am finally ready to add my stats...
CorporeSarnie: 1DD, 1MC, EDD 1st Nov

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/05/2014 19:23

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and warm weather today? I was really busy at work for the last week. DH is away for FIL's funeral and I'm on my own with a toddler working full time. My day is just work, eat, clean and sleep basically! I'm lucky to have a job that is flexible, but it st ill means I have to catch up with work in the evening. I dont' know how single parents do it. It must be so hard.

Congrats to cbeebies and her new baby. I watched OBEM on sky catch up today and I was in tears. It sounds like you had a wonderful delivery.

fedup three isn't a lot at all! I went through months of this as DD is one stubborn little girl. She got it into her mind to wear pants way before she's ready. I managed to convince her to go out in nappy but can stay home with pants. (She just ripped her nappies off and said I not wear nappies). We therefore have accidents for months. Luckily our downstairs is all laminate flooring. So we tried to keep her downstairs as much as possible. Even now she's been toilet trained for over 6 months, she still have accidents from time to time.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 03/05/2014 19:25

Forgot to say we went to the zoo today. Really enjoyed it. I'm glad it's a long weekend.

CorporeSarnie · 03/05/2014 20:06

Gah! Forgot to congratulate cebeebies, enjoy the cuddles and well done Grin.

squizita · 03/05/2014 20:35

Fedup I might need a potty myself at this rate, I had 4 trips to the loo in 3 hours out for dinner just now! :)

Alb Yeah mine doesn't feel all 'delicate' or magical. Feels like a little stroppy one flumping and flopping around, especially if food is involved! Or it's 5.30am so when I wake up not worth going back to sleep again!

Emki · 03/05/2014 21:06

Hello ladies

A huge congrats to cbeebies wonderful news xxx

I'm in count down now - just under 3 weeks to EDD - think I'm getting braxton hicks - feel a tightening around lower part of bump - I didn't have them with DD - is or has anyone else had / having them?

Lovely weather today - hoping it stays for a while - hope everyone doing well x

Alb1 · 03/05/2014 22:08

squiz I'm glad it's not just me! I do love being able to feel him tho, it has absolutely no pattern at all at the min, today he's had like 5 or 6 spats of movement, yesterday I only noticed one slight one, but I think part of that is down to my work/food patterns (I.e yesterday I barly ate and today iv eaten a lot of chocolate, sweets and cookies Blush )

emki how exciting not long left now! Iv been having them but at only 23 weeks mine proly arnt as bad, I get the rock solid bump and kind of pulling sensation on all my lower stomach muscles, lasts for about 24 seconds and then eases off again.

one that sounds quite tiring/stressful, I hope DH is back soon for you, glad youv managed to get out and enjoy the weather tho

bakingtins · 03/05/2014 22:52

emki I've had lots of BH the last few weeks, I'm 35 weeks now. Look on it as uterus gearing up to go!

fedupofrainydays · 04/05/2014 08:00

Well ds told me this morning he wants his nappy. Not sure what to do now :(

That aside, I'm having a major wobble. Bump doesn't seem to be getting bigger and when I lie down it's almost gone (unless need a wee then it seems to push up a hard uterus) also I have felt movement last week but none last few days and starting to worry. Despite putting on 10lbs I'm just worried it's stopped growing / bump isn't big enough. I'm 17 weeks.

Sorry for the me post I'm just feeling a bit :(

Hope foot okay corp doesn't sound fun
Wow emki I remember when you graduated from ttc thread - gone quick! Exciting for you.

one hope it gets easier soon. Sounds like hard work!

HopefulHamster · 04/05/2014 08:16

Fedup I am the same, which is why I haven't really been posting. I am 18 weeks tomorrow but am sure I have woken up with a smaller bump than a few days ago.

I'm hoping it can be normal for this stage but also worrying. Can feel the dooooom spreading over me! Also not feeling regular movement - once every few days I feel something that might be movement, might not be.

I do remember when I had my son that I relaxed a lot more after 20 week scan and when the movement kicked in, but not sure how I'm going to cope until then. Still feel scared to buy certain things until after the scan.

pgchimp · 04/05/2014 09:02

cbeebies congratulations!

hopeful and fedup please try nit to worry. I think the phase from about 16 weeks, when my bump started to appear, and about 22 weeks when I was sure I felt movement, was the most difficult for me. my bump seemed to fluctuate daily and the movement was so erratic as to cause me more worry rather than less. to be honest even now at 35 weeks I woukdn't say there is any kind of pattern! I think just try to remember that all of this is normal and try not to worry. easier said than done, I know.

I hope everyone enjoys the sunshine today.

Penguinita · 04/05/2014 09:05

Hi emki, glad you are well, I was wondering how my due date buddy was doing Smile. I'm not sure if I've been getting BHs, nothing obvious but every now and then my bump feels a bit tight, like your chest does after a sudden dash for a bus or energetic run up the stairs. It is very mild though and doesn't have an obvious start or stop.

I sympathise with the bump size stressing fedup and hamster. I didn't have a noticeable bump until 23 weeks and even then people kept mentioning how small it was. I think they thought that was a nice thing to say but it made me worry. Then I see other people posting on the pg board, upset because they think their bumps are too big! Try not to worry too much, I think 17-18 weeks is too early for a "standard" bump size, and you will get to see your little beans in a couple of weeks at the 20 week scan for reassurance.

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 04/05/2014 09:24

Congratulations cbeebies! [Grin]

squizita · 04/05/2014 10:16

Fedup and Hamster mine was like that 17-18 weeks. During that time they did a quick (just see the hb and all is OK) basic scan at a Dr appt and bean was fine. My bump suddenly painfully popped in 2 massive growth sessions about 19 or 20 weeks. Now I have a small, definite bump.
And people tell me it's 'too small', I then say '"I'm only 21 weeks" and they're like 'Oh, didn't realise" erm so why bother commenting? bean is normal sized.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/05/2014 10:20

fedup and hopeful totally understand your wobbles. It's such a long time from 16 to 20 weeks. I heard the heart beat at 16 weeks and I'm having my 20 week scan next Wednesday. I'm having major worry about it. One minute it is they won't find a heart beat. The next is they will find something really wrong.

fedup how old is your son? There is no need to push until he wants it, unless ofc he's going to school in September. They will relapse if there are major changes around them even if they have been toilet trained and reliable for ages. DD had accidents for every wee during Xmas because she was moving to the preschool room of her nursery! I'm not sure how DD will cope with baby still. And she will be trained for a year by then. They just aren't very reliable at the preschool age.

squizita · 04/05/2014 10:43

Just bought a formal dress for a wedding and then prom I will be attending when big as a house it was the least frumpy one I could find. In the tiny range of pregnancy evening wear, there seems to be little between 'non-threatening-pastel-frump-tent' and 'stripper'.
Black maxi dress it is then. Oh well - it says you can wear it afterwards as it just has loads of frou on the skirt. Hopefully, otherwise it'll be back on Ebay for the pre-Xmas-party season and buy me some slightly-fatter-than-pre-DC normal clothes with the profit.

fedupofrainydays · 04/05/2014 10:47

Thanks ladies. Just really worried about it :(
Scan not til 21 weeks so still just under 4 weeks away :(

Ds is 2 and a half . My logic was to start well before baby arrived. If it's still a struggle by tomorrow I think I will call it a day for a month

CallingAllEngels · 04/05/2014 11:24

Fedup ds is also 2 and a half. We have made several half hearted attempts at potty training and he's just not interested. Going to wait until the summer holidays when it's warmer and I have 6 weeks off (and no 1st trimester exhaustion and nausea!).

6w today!

LondonJen · 04/05/2014 11:34

Lovley to hear you're feeling positive Corp am not on pc else would add your stats. Good news on nt too.

Am 17+4 and feel like my bump was smaller yesterday but then when I look in the mirror it sticks out further than my boobs (that's only been the case after evening meal in the last few days) so it must just be 'different' rather than smaller! Food has a massive impact on mine and I've had a lot of pains the last few days so some things must be moving about in there. It is freaky though when it doesn't look like it did. Also not felt anything since last Sunday's bubbles, tho some strange sensations yesterday, possibly fish flopping movement but not as distinctive as bubbles so really not sure!

Alb I suppose it is the only time anyone kicking you might be supposed to be 'magical' which is odd in itself really! Grin I don't think you're odd as I think it must be uncomfortable!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/05/2014 11:47

My scan is on 20+6. It really was a very long wait and I'm nearly there!

squizita · 04/05/2014 11:55

London gastric stuff always freaks my bean out and makes her quiet for a day or two. I had a terrible episode of constipation and growing pains last week, she clammed up and scared me but is moving fine now. As DH said "you'd sulk too if someone kept barging into your personal space with a massive tube full of compounded s**t!" mmm lovely image but rings true!
