MrsGiraffe12 · 02/05/2014 15:54

otters do you need a fish slap already?? Step away from the pregnancy tests ;-) xxxx

OttersPocket · 02/05/2014 16:12

Fish slap greatly appreciated MrsG, I'm being ridiculous!

bakingtins · 02/05/2014 16:22

corp sorry to hear that! Hope you are managing to get around ok.

Today is my first proper day of mat leave I.e. I'd normally be at work so both children at school/nursery. It's been bloody lovely! Walked the dog with no small child in tow and then went shopping, have been doing a bit of nesting and bought the sweetest wee dress for minibaking. I have also started project eviction - raspberry leaf tablets, pomegranate juice and natal hypnotherapy CD. If nothing else the CD gives me a regular nap, I've listened to it for the last month of each pregnancy and I still couldn't tell you what it says!

CallingAllEngels · 02/05/2014 17:08

Enjoy baking ! I'm dresaming about ML (7 months and counting...).

Penguinita · 02/05/2014 17:59

Just a quick one to say good luck with the induction cbeebies, let us know how it goes!

I'm on mat leave too now baking, it feels awesome! Grin

Presentation scan today confirmed Pingu is head down so still on for home birth, but I have to wait until Wednesday for consultant appointment to find out if they are still worried about her being too small. Thanks for all the reassurance on that front x

bakingtins · 02/05/2014 18:29

Didn't they tell you at the scan, penguin ? I've always been given a print out with centile measurements for head, abdomen and femur, and an estimated weight now and predicted weight at term.

Penguinita · 02/05/2014 18:48

I got some measurements at the 20 week scan but a friend had warned me this one is just a very quick "where is the head" check. Maybe at my hospital you have to see the consultant to get that level of detail.

At least she looked healthy and happy and wriggly, so that has reassured me a lot. She has her back to the left too, so maybe that makes my bump flatter and smaller than if it was at the front.

Seasides · 02/05/2014 21:19

Good luck cbeebies, hope it all goes smoothly. So exciting!

englishb · 02/05/2014 22:58

Hi all, have been lurking for a while but now feel confident enough to join this thread. I'm 14 wks with 1 DS and a difficult journey so far to #2.

Best of luck to all of those new joiners. I've had 4 scans so far and have found each of them very reassuring.

MrsGiraffe12 · 03/05/2014 05:28

Enjoy the maternity leave bakingtins especially without small people in tow. As much as I love my job I'm looking forward to mine, 11 weeks till my last day ;-) xx

Cuppachaplz · 03/05/2014 08:41

New to this thread, and trying to be brave.
9 weeks pregnant after 17 miscarriages. DS is 11, and is 1 of a twin the other of which was lost at 10 weeks.
maybe I am getting my hopes, but this time it feels different.
I wait later and later to tell anyone, so trying venting on here...

bakingtins · 03/05/2014 08:48

Welcome cuppa you are the new definition of determined! Do you have a diagnosis/ treatment for the previous MC? I really hope this pregnancy is the one that is different. You are also very welcome on the RMC support thread on the miscarriage board if you want.

bakingtins · 03/05/2014 08:49

Welcome to english too - hope 2nd trimester is plain sailing for you.

Cuppachaplz · 03/05/2014 08:56

Thanks bakingtins
No diagnosis. Moved around a bit, and have had a few breaks in trying for my own mental we'll being. Also they have been both early and late.
This will be the 6th pregnancy in 16 months, and I don't think I can do this any more if it doesn't work out, however all of the recent ones had signs of problems by now, so hoping.

squizita · 03/05/2014 10:11

Ditzy and Otters step away from the tests! You really cannot rely on home tests getting darker. They aren't designed for that: a line is a line!

Baking Enjoy maternity! Hope operation eviction goes smoothly.

Corp OUCH! :( Poor you. Hope it's not too bad.

Penguin Good to hear your baby is behaving herself and head down! FX for the home birth!

Hi Englishb - good to hear you're at 14 weeks. A big milestone! :)

Cuppachaplz welcome! Really glad to hear this pregnancy feels well at the moment! :)

I've just passed 21 weeks. Half way wooo! Grin Baby has been wriggling and flopping about. Poo hasn't.
At this rate I might have to actually consider proper maternity wear gulp, not Purpless maternity leggings and Primark tunic tops 2 sizes too big! I'm milking this baggy 90s trend at the moment!

amicablemoomin · 03/05/2014 10:21

How is everyone today?

21 weeks - fantastic milestone squiz . Nice to know nothing changes on the poo front no matter how far along you get!

Welcome cuppa and English. Cuppa, I've had two heartbreaking, gut wrenching MCs - I am in awe of your determination. Glad this one feels good so far. English - v jealous of your fourteen weeks. How was your dating scan?

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 03/05/2014 10:36

Hello all, induction started at 10.50, in established labour at 1.30 and at 2.30 he was born! All very quick!

I'm now enjoying newborn snuggles with my precious baby, and he is perfect Grin

Keep going ladies, stay positive and the stress, heartache and parinoia of a pregnancy after miscarriage is worth it!

redandchecker · 03/05/2014 10:45

Congratulations Cbeebies !!!! Brilliant news, well done

squizita · 03/05/2014 11:04

DitzyDonkey · 03/05/2014 11:05

cbeebies what fantastic news you must be beyond thrilled!

squizita congrats on passing the half way mark...I'm jealous Grin

cuppa and english welcome , hopefully we will all have a long and uneventful journey to 9 month mark!

I woke up in the early hours of the morning feeling nauseous and my boobs were hurting, but this morning it's back to no symptoms to speak of Confused

Alb1 · 03/05/2014 11:12

Congrats cbeebies glad it was quick for you! Enjoy your well deserved cuddles Thanks

Penguinita · 03/05/2014 11:51
