Fod I might have just got up! Blush

Pixielady83 · 22/01/2014 14:58

yes fod I'm struggling to stay asleep at night, usually wake between 3 and 5 and can't get back to sleep Sad afternoon naps are the way to go! otherwise I'm so ratty by dinner. I remember last pregnancy quite late on I had some really good sleeps again though, really hope that happens again

fod27 · 22/01/2014 16:24

Thank goodness I'm not alone! I've been dead worried I was getting lazy etc I've slept for three hours this afternoon on the sofa (haven't even got dressed) then I felt so guilty as DH is at work and DC at school that I decided to cook a gammon joint with all the trimmings as I felt so bad about it xxxx

I'm soooo uncomfortable at night, I get really hot and then the pressure and SPD starts to cause no end of grief ;(

Pixielady83 · 22/01/2014 17:55

I wore my belt in bed last night fod and it might be coincidental but I did sleep better. Still hurt to roll over and was very scratchy though Sad

your dinner sounds amazing!

Cybercat · 22/01/2014 18:30

This is such a lovely thread for support. Wishing all you ladies a fab evening.

ChristineDaae · 22/01/2014 18:58

Hi ladies, had a little word with myself, and am over feeling all
Sorry for myself now. From now on no more trying to get baby to move, no nothing. Ill leave him/her to make a move in their own time.
So - from now on I shall be a pillar of support, especially for all you first trimester-ers! No more whining!
Sorry to hear everyone is suffering so much with SPD/PGP and sleeping. I would definitely take a nap whenever and wherever you can get it! Don't feel guilty about napping, growing little people is hard work, especially when you aren't sleeping of a night

Is a dull ache in the lower abdomen normal? I can't remember and its freaking me out.

ChristineDaae · 22/01/2014 19:32

All, yep, it's often everything stretching/settling into place. How many weeks are you?

OP posts:
Pixielady83 · 22/01/2014 20:27

As Christine says all, yes, lots of periody pains and stretching in first few weeks, that's all ok.

I have a question about green notes? you know how they're meant to do you a growth chart for your notes at the 20wk scan? I didn't get one. I've asked mw twice and she's said she'll chase hospital for it but received nothing yet. I'm seeing her Friday, should I text her to chase it up tomorrow do you think? Text seems to be her communication method of choice... is it important for measuring bump size against or am I overreacting about it?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/01/2014 23:43

Here Christine how about buying a tiara to take your mind off of things. You could be miss January! Grin

Kat Ill kill yours if youll kill mine. Im hiding downstairs and trying not to get enraged too. DP wants me to take my lovely shiny perfect pram back to Mothercare for a refund so he can have some freebie off a bloke on his pool team. He nearly got my dinner plate in the back of his head!
They both need a good beating. Angry
Have you explained to him about PGP/SPD? If in doubt, maybe throw a tantrum? Wink Crying often helps.
If not, a murder pact could definitely work!

A pair of nobs! Angry Know what you mean about sleeping. Have you tried collecting every spare cushion and pillow in the house and making a nest? smothering him with them

Mine too! I doubt it though! Hmm sleep tight!

fod27 · 23/01/2014 02:38

Thanks pixie next time I'll share ;) chris it's is incredibly tiring, I've yet to receive a belt I'm still waiting on my physio referral, hope it's soon (sick of walking like a constipated cow boy lol)

fod27 · 23/01/2014 02:47

Awww kat and saggy that was the best read ever! Very amusing for those of us up at stupid o clock ;) my DH has just earned extra points after reading this, are they on any social networking sites or work with women perhaps? I've found my DH is much more sympathetic after reading his FB posts (there's a girl on there that's as far gone as me) I think it's merely because she's detached from us etc so when he sees her turmoils he's much more considerate towards mine xxx

kat I'd start booking in for massages etc, when he sees the bill you watch how quickly he pulls out those massage oils ;)

fod27 · 23/01/2014 04:02

So I can't sleep again! I'm hoping it's Braxton hicks, having really strong pains across my lower stomach and the little one legs are going crazyyyy

fod27 · 23/01/2014 07:43

Finally slept - had a nightmare that I was on the run from the law, everyone I know had turned me in so I had to undergo plastic surgery to escape! Then I woke up panicked that DH wouldn't stand by me and I'd have to give birth in prison ;(

fod27 · 23/01/2014 08:28

Hahaa kat Karmas a bitch! Loving the swimming suggestion ;) tell me about it saggy felt so guilty, I wonder what I've find in RL to leave me with guilty dreams like that.,,,,,,

scater · 23/01/2014 09:47

Hi all hope you are doing ok. I am having some lovely back ache at the moment. Am hoping its stretching as bump seems to have expanded rather in last 24 hours.

But...when you first feel a bit of movement why can't it be regular immediately. I am 15+2, have only really felt movement on one side so am convinced one of the twins isn't moving. And, and why is it whenever there is any pain the flutters go away.

Rant over, sorry, very self indulgent.

Fingers crossed that Christine junior arrives soonThanks.
