Hi everyone, hope your all doing ok.
Been for scan today after large bleed Sunday and my baby is swimming around perfectly! :) totally non the wiser for his/her mothers last 4 days of torture ! :) infact grown more to put me forward a few days, I'm now 8 + 2

There is a small area of bleed in uterus but is tiny and will either re absorb or come away. I no I'm not out the woods yet as last year proved, but I have faith in this little bean to hang on in there!

Thank you for everyone's kind words these past few days.

For now things are looking fine :)

Pixielady83 · 23/01/2014 11:00

Sarah that is brilliant news!! Smile Smile Smile you must be over the moon!! really hope you don't have any more scares now, the last few days must have been awful for you. Thank goodness!

Boo to the rubbish DHs! glad yours is suitably sorry this morning kat mine has been wonderful recently but is always full of helpful suggestions when mostly I just need him to listen to me MOAN! Can't believe how many of us are suffering with back/pelvis/hips problems. Not fair!!

ChristineDaae · 23/01/2014 11:45

Morning all! Sarah great news on the scan, what a relief. Saggy/Kat, have your DPs made it through the morning?
Re so many of us struggling with back/hips/pelvis, my physio told me that getting PG after a MC (especially if its soon after) is a big risk factor for PGP/SPD, makes sense when you look at the proportion of us suffering on this board. I only know one other sufferer in RL.

And Scrater, try not to worry too much (easier said than done!) this early it would be really unusual to feel regular movements. Plus maybe one twin is a bit more active or just in a better position to feel movements from

Sarah that is BRILLIANT news! Grin Grin

scater · 23/01/2014 12:33

Thanks for reassurance all. It's weird I seem to have blacked out this stage fro first pregnancy.

Just a little flutter will do me today:)

Brilliant news about scan for you, and a couple of days further on, fabGrin.

fod27 · 23/01/2014 12:47

scater which side are you feeling movements? sarah the same thing happened with my bleed it was on the side of the uterus that appeared to be vacant on the screen and it was right around the date of what would have been my cycle, the sonographer said she thought my body thought I wasn't pregnant on that side so has menstruated as usual

fod27 · 23/01/2014 12:50

That's fascinating christine forgot to say well done sarah really pleased for you xxx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 23/01/2014 12:50

Scater one of your LOs might be facing backwards so is kicking where you can't feel it, or there might be placenta in the way. or they might both be kicking in the same area. There are lots of perfectly fine reasons.

thepiggotupandslowlywalkedaway · 23/01/2014 12:51

Sarah, that is lovely news. So glad that you had a good scan.

Kat and Saggy, haven't seen you on the news yet, so assume that the other halves survived - Kat, it's good to know that he has seen the light.

Scater, I've also got twins baking away, and I didn't really feel anything definite until 20 weeks+, so don't worry too much (I thought I felt movement earlier, but I now think it was just my digestive system playing silly buggers). It turns out I have one of the placentas anterior, but now at 26 weeks, it feels like an all-night disco party in there!

Pixielady, I haven't even used my buggy yet, and I think it's great! Also, insomnia sucks, does it not. I've not been sleeping well either - waking up feeling vaguely nauseous and uncomfortable. This morning, woke up at five-ish needing the inevitable wee, then couldn't get back to sleep. At six, just as I was finally getting back to sleep, I heard the thunder of tiny feet as DS decided to wake up early and join me. He was actually very snuggly for once, instead of being his usual whirlwind-of-activity self, which helped, but I still felt terrible when I got up. The morning was capped by DH dropping a tub containing about a litre of home-made chicken stock on the floor. Sob.

However, I am now feeling much improved through the medium of cake.

ChristineDaae · 23/01/2014 13:26

Oh pig what a waste! Glad cake made it better though Wink
PGP - apparently it's caused by the hormone relaxin, which starts getting released at 5 weeks, so even after a relatively early MC, if you get pregnant again your body gets a double dose, meaning everything loosens up too much and voila! Pain!

Yay! sarah awesome news, very happy that all is ok and you have a wriggly tot in there :) Hope all you other first trimester ladies are coping ok - its almost the end of another week and today you are all pregnant!

kat and saggy glad you didn't have to resort to homicide! If it is any consolation I was ready to kill my DH a few weeks back but recently he couldn't be more supportive and helpful. Think he may have done some research in SPD (I sent him some links to the NHS and Pelvic partnership websites) so he has some idea of what I am going through!

Christine that is very interesting about what your physio said! It does make sense I suppose - hope you are coping ok.

I'm now in the third trimester and I am not sure how the hell I'm going to do this for another three months, especially as I am anticipating the SPD getting worse... in a bid to cheer myself up I have decided we need something to look forward to. I'm a big wildlife photography enthusiast and I'm really missing being able to charge out of the house with my camera so I decided we simply MUST go to the outer Hebrides in July and see whales and puffins. I've found a tailor-made holiday that looks perfect. DH asked what we are going to do with the bubba - I said we'd swaddle him up and pop him in the baby sling and take him with of course! He'll be 2/3months old - are we deluded morons for thinking we can go on holiday with a tiny baby?

scater · 23/01/2014 15:06

Thanks all. Flutters mostly on left side. I know that at least one of the placentas is anterior.

You've all made me feel much better. Just have to wait for scan on tues.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 23/01/2014 15:07

Kjh you are not morons just very very unreasonable to go on a holiday like that without me! Sad
shetland is my dream but the Hebrides would do. Sad Sad Sad

fod27 · 23/01/2014 15:50

scater all the major organs are on the right (hence why we are told to sleep on the left in pregnancy) this may also account for the lack of movement?

Pixielady83 · 23/01/2014 16:09

kjh I think that's a great time to go - we took DD away at 4months and she was a lot easier than subsequent holidays - no need to entertain, happy to be in buggy/sling/kick on a blanket, just needs milk... Sounds fantastic!

scater · 23/01/2014 17:04

Good point fod, thanks:)

Penguinita · 23/01/2014 21:08

Hooray sarah that is just brilliant news! You must be over the moon.

scater I think the position of the placenta makes a big impact on where you feel kicks, I am sure all is fine. I discovered at my 20 week scan that mine is up the top, which explains why I was only feeling movement low down. And with two you have double the blind spots!

Ha ha kat at the divine retribution on your DH Grin. Justice is served.

I was reading a book of birth stories last night and in one the midwife told the lady in labour that during a contraction "try to go saggy with it" - made me giggle! Grin

pgchimp · 23/01/2014 21:17

sarah so pleased with your positive news.

we had positive news here too at 20 week scan. lovely, healthy little boy kicking and being coy with the scanner. Such a relief. definitely on post-scan high!

fod27 · 23/01/2014 21:28

Awww so pleased to see such good news! Well done ladies we are finally doing it!!! Xxxx

Penguinita · 23/01/2014 21:29

Yay pg! Congratulations!
