Ooh pixie that sounds very good, you'll probably be quite dilated before you even go into labour. My 2nd was a dream.
Saggy I think you need the sleep- make the most of it.
I'm 5 weeks today, yay! Time is going dead slow, how do you bear it? I told my mum, as I need her moral support, and she started sobbing and had to give the phone to dad who said congratulations and then started talking about his lawn. Love my folks!
I have felt queasy today and have had to eat with the kids. I'd have turned into some kind of ogre if I hadn't. Time to don my Mary Poppins hat and whisk them into bed before they know what's hit them.

Aoifebelle · 05/02/2014 19:00

Oh sweet jesus, only just got home. I could eat a scabby dog, 2 in fact. FEEEEED MEEEEEE.

Aoifebelle · 05/02/2014 19:31

And relax.

Penguinita · 05/02/2014 20:24

Very glad I don't live in london. Sympathies to those suffering the tube strike chaos.

Hey fedup good to see you back! I reckon it is your turn for some good luck this time.

emki sorry to hear you are feeling so tired at work. I'm not too bad at 24 weeks at the moment but I'm office based so not on my feet, and I do feel wiped out every evening. It makes it difficult to decide when to go on maternity leave as I'm sure I won't feel this good forever, and I only have 2 weeks left to decide.

LondonJen · 05/02/2014 20:31

Aiofe you make me laugh!

Saggy I hope at least your headache was gone after that! Lovely naps.

Handsfull that is so lovely that you've told your parents. My mum would worry waaaay too much so we're keeping stum. Mind, we kept it to ourselves last time & then dumped crap news on everyone at 10 weeks. I realised yesterday that I will be 12 weeks the Friday just before mothering Sunday so now we are thinking mothers day would be perfect to tell if we can just get there. Which we will! Posifrickintivity!

Pixie thank you for sharing that is really interesting. Yes my body was desperately trying to hold on to what was not meant to be but it was much more on and off for me in the last week. Sounds like everything is getting ready for you now!! I bet you are ready really! Exciting.

Ah, thanks Squiz, I see. I wonder if mine is just going to keep building up. Agh! I hate not knowing. As for blooming I'll believe it when I see it. I am already riding the bus to Nark town, suspect I will be a wickedly moody pregnant lady!

Is it Friday yet? I SO want it to be 5 weeks. Then telling the Dr at 6 weeks. C'mon February! Get a shuffty on!

Handsfullandlovingit · 05/02/2014 21:08

Aoife eat my dog, she is v naughty and she usually deserves to be eaten. She ate our Christmas pudding this year. Her other escapades are so spectacular I'm worried they would out me. I work in London but can walk from the mainline station so I am feeling v lucky this week.

London my mum is incredible and such a source of courage and positivity for me I kinda needed to tell her. I know she will pray for the baby, and while I'm not all that relig myself I figure it can't hurt. It really is nearly Friday!

Battery running low, off I go... night all.

GuffSmuggler · 05/02/2014 21:54

Great to see you back here fedup Grin

KJH that sounds like a scary experience, I didn't get ANY braxton hicks last time so if I get any this time I will assume I'm in labour. Haven't had any so far...

Really hope things are happening for Christine

saggy hope you're feeling a bit better now. I'm seriously faltering now as well, just can't be bothered with anything am sooo tired all the time but my brain is going 'nest, nest, nest'. There's so much to do!!!

fedupofrainydays · 05/02/2014 22:01

It's only two days since I've know I'm preggers. Two days! Quite a lot to get through. Time goes too slowly. Can I fall asleep and wake up when the baby has arrived in about 8 months time? I actually thought about mat leave today as so tired but I do not want to get thinking about that yet.... I was planning on leaving my job anyway and will do in April time if I miscarry again, otherwise it's early mat leave something like 11 weeks before it's due?! That like the whole of the third trimester!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/02/2014 22:10

2 down 964 days to go! Wink Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/02/2014 22:11

Guff its like ive fallen apart since I left work! Confused

ChristineDaae · 05/02/2014 22:31

Evening ladies, quick check in, I'm sorry I haven't caught up is been an odd day!
Had my appt this morning, midwife still couldn't reach cervix to do sweep but due to being 11 days over booked me in for induction this evening.
Came in at 8, cervix still a bit far back but not awful and 2cm :) so iv had the first lot of gel and am hoping waters can be broken at 6 tomorrow. Grin

Good luck christine, think of us when its crowning. Not long to go now.

Pixielady83 · 05/02/2014 22:48

ooh good luck christine hope everything goes smoothly for you! excited for you! Smile

Pixielady83 · 05/02/2014 22:52

handsful would be lovely if that were true about dilating! had Braxton hicks all evening and just easing now. I only got to 3cm in last labour so not sure my body really has any 2nd time round advantage though. Also, I want to borrow your Mary Poppins hat, DD could do with being whisked to bed more often instead of the endless 'just another story' cycle we get into!

JBrd · 05/02/2014 23:08

Good luck Christine Nearly there!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/02/2014 23:09

Woo hoo Christine! Good luck! Smile Smile Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/02/2014 23:13

I bet you go too Pixie. pressure and period pains and braxtons are a good sign.

Well this is my first day doing regular blood sugars for GD. ive been high all day. Even the fasting one first thing! Confused And I've been really good all day too! Sad

Pentagon · 05/02/2014 23:18

good luck Christine! "think of us when you're crowning"...aoife you crack me up, you always have ;-) and I hope someone has fed you!!!

so good to see you back fedup! ah, falling asleep and waking up with a baby is also what I wished for during the first trimester - it's so hard, isn't it?

london I've had 2 MMCs - with the first one I had no pregnancy symptoms whatsoever, with the second one I felt sick, tired, bloated you name it...so with my last pregnancy, feeling sick didn't give me much hope, still everything went well; and I felt a lot better from 10 weeks onwards

pixie I hope you're OK and the BH have eased off now. Ah, both DD1 and I were under the weather on Sunday, plus all our plans fell through hence the disappointing weekend...

fod - garden created the group so you will need to contact her and she will invite you

hiiiiiiiiiiiiii everyone else!

GardenWorm · 06/02/2014 06:30

Hello lovely ladies, so happy to see familiar names back on this thread, more and more deserved newbies, and some finally reaching the achingly wonderful moment that is meeting their babies x

Christine wowsers you are within touching distance now! Garden junior was induced and I'd mainly heard horror stories but in fact it was easier than my non induced DD, I only had the pain bit for 5 hrs, not going to lie though it did drag on a bit before then Wink

So I just wanted to spread some more graduate posifrickintivity, let you all know we still keep an eye on you and think of you, and tell you to pm me your 'real' name when you pop if you want to get on board the Facebook group Grin

Much love Garden

...and get in there Christine!!!

MrsGiraffe12 · 06/02/2014 07:06

There's a facebook group for thread graduates? Now I'm twice as excited for September ;-) a girl needs something to keep her occupied in then waiting for first scan after all haha x

fedupofrainydays · 06/02/2014 07:22

Good luck christine!!

squizita · 06/02/2014 07:41

Good luck Christine, how exciting! :)

Aoifebelle · 06/02/2014 07:50

Yeah, screw the babies. It is all about getting on the fb page now, there better be room for us all garden

Hiya Pentagon my lovely oh had dinner waiting when I got in,(good job or I would have eaten him) but obvs now have woken up, time to do it all again.

fedup I sooooo recognise the time thing. I am 5 weeks, and two of them don't even count cos you're not really preggers. Seems like 5 months.

time to brave tube strike chaos yet again.

Lieslvontrapp · 06/02/2014 08:08

Good luck christine! Here's hoping you have your baby in your arms by the end of the day.

Hi to garden!

pgchimp · 06/02/2014 08:09

good luck Christine, hope it all goes smoothly.

To all the first trimester ladies, someone on here recommended setting yourself mini goals to get to and that really helped me. So don't think about getting to 12 weeks because it will go so slowly, instead think about getting to the meeting you have got in Friday afternoon. if you focus on the meeting not the time in between a whole day will have paased, iyswim!
