Thanks so much for replying squizita, that's reassuring. I didn't know that about the cyst. It's so hard not being able to see whats going on in there. I'm not feeling it anymore. It only lasted a couple of minutes. Ive got a scan on Monday so hopefully I'll see a healthy baby in there then. Thanks again.

ImMarmite · 30/01/2014 20:10

Saggy- I wish I could have a Wine but I'm terrified. Midwife told me a Wine won't hurt but I'm a scared cat... Same with 'hot' bath... This is gonna be a long pregnancy hopefully

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 20:22

Aah! Christ! There's a bottle of Baileys in my fridge which is keeping me going!
half an inch in the bottom of a glass once a week! Confused
And as for baths! She's going to come out like a boiled lobster! Blush
Have a nice cup of holic ks and a hot water bottle. xxx

kjh5 · 30/01/2014 20:36

Oh Marmite I was the same at the beginning of this pregnancy :) I think I had a nervous breakdown on here because I ate some liver pate at 5 weeks and was convinced I'd done untold damage to the bubba. Now I'm a lot more relaxed about everything! A glass of Wine once a week is currently keeping me sane and the baths are no longer tepid! I also seem to wake up on my back every single morning despite practically suffocating myself with pillows to stay on my side. Despite all this, the sproglet is still doing his version of the Hokey Cokey (it's that or shadow boxing) every few hours and the MW today reassured me there is nothing wrong with any of this and the bubba is doing just fine Grin

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 30/01/2014 21:19

Christine I advise watching crap movies! I was in bed and couldn't sleep so at midnight I watched a really silly Lindsay Lohan movie calked 'Labour Pains' on netflix on the iPad. Thought it would be funny in a preggo kind of way. It finished at about 1.45am. 15 minutes later booooom first contraction!! 16 hrs later...helloooo baby!! Get watching!!

Penguinita · 30/01/2014 22:04

Hi sweetpea and pinkandwhite, welcome and feel free to obsess like crazy with the rest of us!

I'm just having a major freakout as I ate a big meal and now my belly button is sticking out. Arghh! Too weird!

Pinkandwhite · 30/01/2014 22:25

Thanks penguinita :-).

When did everyone start to feel relaxed/confident about your pregnancies?

bakingtins · 30/01/2014 22:42

Not relaxed yet and I'm 22 weeks tomorrow Blush
Being serious, from 13 week scan I've felt a bit better about it. Told everyone after 20 week scan, only close family and BFF knew before that.
I bought baby a toy hare yesterday, DH and I have had a few days away together and I've bought a toy for each of my boys around the same stage, so that's me being posi-fricking-tive.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 22:59

OMG Baking!!
where has that time gone!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

fod27 · 31/01/2014 01:29

Good for you baking!

andadietcoke · 31/01/2014 05:22

Hello everyone! Thought I'd pop in to say hi! Lovely to see so many newbies.

On my phone so can't always see who posted what, but tins wow! Congratulations!! Has it taken forever?

I never really stopped worrying, I think it was a couple of days after they were born when they were out of NICU that it hit home that I actually had babies. I would say though, that head buried in sand was not a great coping strategy for preparing for life with a newborn. Because I'd refused to have stuff in the house because I was convinced there wouldn't be a happy ending it wasn't the most relaxed start to our homecoming and something I really regret.

Having a baby is the best diet I've ever been on. I put 3 stone on when pregnant and lost it without trying, plus another stone. Started actively dieting on 6th January and have lost 12lbs so far. Still a fatty, but getting there. I think it's by virtue of just being so much more active (and awake so many more hours in the dayWink)

Glad you're all doing okay, looking forward to some BAs and new additions to the little FB group!

Aoifebelle · 31/01/2014 08:07

Bakingtins??? I am back baby, and seeing you here has made my heart sing. You are due in june? I am thrilled for you.

Hello ladies.
My stats
0DC 1MC 1MT Due date 09 oct (my 40th fricking birthday)

I am shit scared and bubbly excited all at the same time. Enjoying the bit before it gets medical and I have to go back to places that hold pretty grim memories. Third time lucky???

Lieslvontrapp · 31/01/2014 08:27

Welcome sweetpea, pinkandwhite & aoifebelle! Congrats on your bfps!

With regard to feeling relaxed/confident about pregnancy then I would say our 10 wk scan helped but wasn't until 13wk scan that I felt more relaxed. Then hearing the heartbeat at 16 wks then starting to feel movements around the 20 wk mark really helps. However now I'm 38+4 and have everything all ready for baby I just can't wait to have her here safe and sound. So as anda says you're never going to be 100% relaxed until they are in your arms.

BTW Hi anda! Lovely to see you over here!

Christine that's really poo that you had to see a gp rather than a midwife and therefore haven't been able to get a sweep. Could you not try and get one before 5th? You never know it might get things going and you can avoid an induction?

TeaAndANatter · 31/01/2014 09:11

Um - maybe a wee bit more relaxed by about 23 weeks, no, actually, now I remember (morbid alert), I felt better by 24 weeks knowing that if it went wrong at least we could register it as having been our baby. Sorry, I don't mean to upset anyone, but I remember feeling a strong sense that at least it would be acknowledged now. Still having occasional wobbles at 29 weeks x

JBrd · 31/01/2014 10:12

Hello JanieSocks and andadiet Lovely to see some familiar names from way back that have successfully graduated, you give me hope.

Aoife Your 'name' sounds familiar, too, have we met on this thread before?!

I'm hoping to be able to relax a bit, soon , but no chance in hell before I get to at least 12 weeks, have seen a healthy heartbeat and a bean that measures according to its dates... 4+5 today. February is going to be a looooong month.
We have MIL's 70th birthday bash at the end of March, and I'm thinking I might have some good news for the family then as well.

Can someone fast forward the next 8 weeks, please?

pgchimp · 31/01/2014 10:19

morning ladies. after a couple of very bad nights sleep because I couldn't get confortable, I have just had a complete meltdown at my DH and now I can't stop crying. I feel totally overwhelmed at what we have got to do in the next 18 weeks and know that stressing about it isn't good for me.

need to calm down but don't know how. any tips ladies?

allisgood1 · 31/01/2014 11:00

In scan waiting room. So scared. Bit sure what to expect but have no reason other than paranoia to expect the worst. I'm alone and praying for the best.

pgchimp · 31/01/2014 11:06

all, you are nit alone. we are all thinking of you. fingers crossed.

squizita · 31/01/2014 11:25

Hi all - had a scary day yesterday as nausea was far less than before. Woke up this morning feeling mega queasy with super sore boobs (eased off now, think it'll cause gurgles lunchtime). Blush I'm like a broken record I know. But every time I calm down somewhere on the boards someone says "MMC = not sick enough" and the fears rise. Sanity says women like my own mum carried twins and a 10lb gigantos child with never a retch she 'just went off coffee' - and I've actually been sick, just now I want to be sick on the hour same time daily Shock logically I know it doesn't work like that.

Allisgood keeping fx for you. Hate that pre scan fear. Wishing you all the best.

Baking hopefully I will have gotten me some sanity by 22 weeks. How lovely to buy the toy - posifrickintivity! :)

Dietcoke lovely to hear a tale of hope.

Aofe Hi! Wave!

Leisl & Tea Yep taking it scan by scan!!!!! But what I could really do with is a time machine same as Jbird!!

BlackberryandNettle · 31/01/2014 12:37

Hi,

Just dropping in after a long time - I could not keep up only checking board on free evenings.at the moment I gave some time as in hospital at 30 weeks with placenta praevia bleed. It happened Wednesday and has stopped. Really want to go home! Endless waiting for doctors to get to me on the rounds.

So relieved the bleed has stopped and baby is fine, has been checked over and over again since Wednesday and had steroids in case of an early emergency birth so I feel very reassured the baby is okay.

Everyone telling me to stop work but really want to make it to 34 weeks, obviously want to be very cautious but I get easily fed up sitting around.

allisgood1 · 31/01/2014 13:33

Hi all, back from my scan and it's good news! Measuring slightly ahead now at 8+3 but strong hb of 174 so I am elated Grin I feel much better now and resigned that my evening nausea is just simply "my normal" for this pregnancy. I shall stop stressing now Wink

bakingtins · 31/01/2014 13:40

We will remind you of that later allis Wink Thrilled for you that it's going well Grin

blackberry glad the bleed has settled down. Listen to everyone and take it easy! Is it possible to do some work from home?

aoife really good to see you back!

Thanks everyone for being so pleased for me. It's so lovely to feel there are so many of you out there rooting for me wipes away a tear

squizita · 31/01/2014 14:53

allis oh that's fantastic for you! :)

LondonJen · 31/01/2014 17:30

Hi all

Please can I join your thread? I spent a bit of time lurking on the miscarriage forum in October last year after horrible MMC at 10 weeks. That was my first pregnancy and I just got two faint lines earlier this week! Am feeling lucky, scared, sad, anxious -you name it. I would love to chat with you all. I will come back soon to read through this thread properly & hope to speak with you soon x

Aoifebelle · 31/01/2014 18:05

Sqiz, JBd, so many dietcoke, so many familiar names. Big wave to all of you. Very very early days for me, so I shall prob lurk for a bit, but glad to be back .
