I know we has a huge discussion on here a while ago about people on fb etc going on about their weight in PG...
But as a fat bird can I please have a small go?
I've been sorting through the wardrobe today and have been trying stuff on. I can get into stuff I couldnt 6 months ago! I haven't done anything on purpose, i eat all manner of crap really, but it would be very nice, but totally not the point, if I could end up weighing the same or less than when I started. Blush

fod27 · 30/01/2014 02:04

saggy as a woman that's gained 4 stone I'm wagging my finger and tutting (secretly jealous)

Loving all the positivity on here lately xxx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 02:24

I'm sorry. I just find it all a bit mad!
Confused

squizita · 30/01/2014 07:43

Saggy wow. I've heard of this happening to a couple of ladies I know (very little gain or even loss) - maybe the body is putting its nutrition into the pregnancy? If only you knew the trick you could be a millionaire!

For me, this morning it's 'sore boobs and constipation'. All good symptoms. :)

fod27 · 30/01/2014 08:19

I know what you mean saggy I've always put on loadsa weight in pregnancy - I've just learned to embrace it now as it's become a bit of a joke - however every man and his dog seem to think it's appropriate to comment on my weight! Wait till I've popped and I'm back in my jeans, the tables will turn and I shall be the commenting mwuahahaa (evil laugh)

Lieslvontrapp · 30/01/2014 08:42

Welcome molly & startwig! Congrats on your bfps.

janie nice of you to pop by and glad things are going well.

alb great scan news. Hopefully that will give you the reassurance you need to get to the 12 wk scan.

How's it going christine? Have you been offered a sweep yet? Had my 38 wk appointment yesterday and next one is at 40+2. Mw said she'd do a sweep then if I want one. Secretly hoping I don't need the appointment never mind the sweep but maybe I need to start mentally preparing myself for going overdue. Had a very vivid birth dream last night!

Foxsticks · 30/01/2014 08:42

I'm very jealous Saggy. I've started off this pregnancy heavier than I would want to be. I lost two and a half stone last year on ww and piled on a stone and a half of that when I got pregnant and mc. I had just started 5:2 when I got pregnant and most of my friends knew. They keep on asking me how its going and if I've lost weight! It's going to be obvious I'm not losing anything pretty soon I think!

fod27 · 30/01/2014 09:21

leis think it's time for sexy time ;) that'll shift LO! Oooo isn't it exciting?? I bet you can't wait now
fox if they overhear any sickness you'll be marked as having a eating disorder! How far along are you now?

Foxsticks · 30/01/2014 09:46

Only four plus four Fod! Pathetically early days. I never get morning sickness when pregnant sadly. The vomiting would help to reassure me and shift a few pounds!

squizita · 30/01/2014 10:10

Fox I was also on a January health kick as far as mates know! Easy to explain lack of steak-and-beer nights haha. I'm quite glad I had Xmas weight on my thighs what with the clexane jabs, more fat = less bruise. I'm an hourglass type shape so the 'pinch and inch' round my tummy wasn't as useful (in the top 1/2 of healthy BMI, but scrawny middle, big bootie!).

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 11:23

My last word on the subject...
Just got weighed, ive gained a total of 1.6 KG! Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 11:25

On a more important subject, the consultant is happy with Ryvita's progress. Growth scan in 2 weeks and a serious discussion about delivery! Confused

Lieslvontrapp · 30/01/2014 12:11

Bloody hell saggy that's incredible. I was pleased I'd only put on 23 pounds at 38 wks.

Fod you might be right! Wink

fod27 · 30/01/2014 12:42

Best maternity pants at the ready leis ;) that's great news saggy
There must be something about health kicks! I had started the grapefruit diet and had just got home from a run when - I sat down to eat smoked salmon salad and it knocked me really sick! I just thought the fish might be bad so I checked the dates (all good) then decided to have a coffee and a fag (I was smoking then) that made me worse! I had one test left in the cupboard and thought I'll try it but it's doubtful! (We had only had a quickie once that month lol) hey presto!!!! BFP

MrsGiraffe12 · 30/01/2014 13:41

Repeating the mantra - today I'm still pregnant, today I'm still pregnant......

Had my booking appointment on Monday, by their dates I'm now 8+6.....

Had PET at 32 weeks with DS, delivery less than 20 hours after diagnosis. This time I'm seeing consultants, midwives, elective c section on their recommendation etc. Now terrified all over again, I'm "high risk".

And to top it all off, I've got to wait till 27th feb before I get my scan at 12+5

Urgh x

kjh5 · 30/01/2014 13:45

saggy that's fabulous! Great news about delivery options too - I bet its all feeling a bit more real now!!

I'm seriously worried about the amount of weight I've put on (23lbs at 28weeks) but as I've been stuffing my face with cake I'm not really surprised. I had my MW appt today and was somewhat gratified when she told me I'm looking normal and not to worry too much - so I'm just going to try and reign in the sweets consumption over the next 12 weeks! Hard when I'm stuck to the sofa and a big fan of comfort food...

On the plus side the bubba is doing great in there - question for the mums among you, since 16 weeks, every appt I've had they reckon he's head down in my pelvis legs up by my belly button. Is this a good thing? Also do they tend to stay in the same position?

Christine you still hanging in there?

ChristineDaae · 30/01/2014 14:26

Hi all, glad to see the newbies doing well and great news on Ryvita Saggy!
Another one here who's put on 4st, but I put on more with Dd and was in a smaller size that pre preg after 9 months without trying all too hard, this time I can WAIT to start dieting and turn myself into a gym bunny ready for the wedding dress!
Leisel, I was offered a sweep at 39+4 but midwife couldn't reach my cervix, had an appt yesterday but my midwife is on holiday ( worst timing everAngry) and the GP wouldn't do one so still here, 40+5 baby measuring about 44/45 weeks and no sign of movement. I have tried EVERYTHING!!! (Except castor oil!) last night I ate Thai food and ordered a duck dish because it was the only thing on the menu with 4 chillies on the heat rating. (I don't even eat duck!) so I have resigned myself to induction, appt to discuss it is on 5th Feb by which time I'll be 11 days over, and the baby will probably be about 14lb so I'm hoping they don't leave me too long after that. A bit gutted as I was really hoping to avoid induction this time around but oh well, what will be will be!

MrsGiraffe waiting for scans with the 'high risk' flag is no fun. :( I'm still waiting for x-ray specs, I'd buy the lot!!!

Currently fretting againnnnn as I don't feel as sick as usual. Still a bit rough, just not rough enough. I'm being an idiot I know these things come and go.

allisgood1 · 30/01/2014 17:01

MrsGiraffe I hate the wait too :( Can you get a private scan?

squiz you and I are in the same boat. I feel sick but not "sick enough" despite being kept awake by debilitating nausea all night. And this morning was quite rough. Its going on 2.5 hours since I last ate and I'm only starting to get queasy.

Having another scan tomorrow. I know. I'm neurotic. I just need to know that this no ms thing is ok.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/01/2014 17:08

Christine lol @ castor oil! Grin
As I read somewhere the other day, you're in the 2ww now. In fact probably the1ww! you will have your baby in the next week or so. no matter what! Smile
Squiz sending you up chuck vibes! Grin
Been asleep since I got in from the hospital. I'm starving and drowning in snot now! fecking virus can feck off now! Confused
In other news, just found out we had our remortgage approved. Lower payments per month AND, 6K to sort out the shit hole that is our house! Just in time to bring a baby home to a house full of dust and builders! Confused Smile
I won't be happy till I see the money, but its a great weight off my mind.

ImMarmite · 30/01/2014 17:29

14 weeks today off to see consultant tomorrow alone I'm really nervous & my husbands at work. Anyone know any ways to test if I'm still pregnant (I'm sure a very stupid question but worrying like hell!!) Hmm

SweetPeaPods · 30/01/2014 17:34

Hi everyone, can I join?

Pinkandwhite · 30/01/2014 17:48

Hello, please can I join too? I'm 10 + 5 weeks pregnant and feeling v nervous. I had a mmc last July. I've just written a post asking for some reassurance and I'm wondering whether anyone here could also help. I'm having occasional weird sharp pains. Today I've got them in my lower abdomen. It's just in one spot in the centre and it tends to go if I rub it. I had the same thing in my left ovary area on Sunday. Do you think this could be round ligament pain? Thanks in advance to anyone who has any advice.

squizita · 30/01/2014 18:11

Pink I get similar pains and they've always been where my cyst is (the cyst is meant to be there, it squirts out hormones!) - docs have said it's that. I was quite scared every time but the sonographer showed me.
