Just back from physio appointment - bones have been crunched, muscles have been stretched and my pelvis has been pushed back into place plus she gave me a nice massage and another appointment in a week's time. Apart from the fact that I'm still in a considerable amount of pain and have to hobble into work shortly, it has been a successful day! Grin

Also I'm bloody exhausted! Hello third trimester - may the next three months zoom by.

Welcome Molly! congrats on your BFP

Yay on the good scan news scater!

And for everyone in the first trimester worries about symptoms: they come and go, some of you will be violently ill and others will literally have nothing more than a slight food aversion and this could change at any time. I think if there is one overwhelming thing we've all learned on this thread its that no symptoms DOES NOT mean you are not pregnant or going to MC, it just means you're pretty bloody lucky you don't have your head stuck down a toilet (although for reassurance we'd obviously all rather have our heads stuck down the loo and be screaming in agony over sore boobs...)

JBrd · 28/01/2014 15:54

squiz Hurray!

Never thought I'd cheer someone for being sick Grin

khj5 Your are so right. But I know that I will worry again if I don't get any symptoms, I felt really sick when pg with DS from about 5-6 weeks on, and no sickness at all with my 3 MCs... I really don't want to be sick, but... Sigh.

My GP called, he managed to get hold of the haem consultant - I'm to start the heparin injections and baby aspirin immediately.

Small steps!

Foxsticks · 28/01/2014 16:10

Hi allI can't believe your partner did that to you Kat, it's such a gross invasion of privacy. They should be ashamed of themselves.Well done for vomiting squiz! I've not had any morning sickness either when carrying my dd, when I mc or this time. People say I am lucky but the lack of physical symptoms is worrying! Hope everyone with wobbles is feeling better today. Can I ask what people have done with regards to telling family? Last time I told my Dad and my sister, my theory being that if something did go wrong I would need their support. When it did go wrong I was so pleased they knew I was pregnant as I needed help with childcare for hospital appointments and scans. I didn't have to have a conversation saying "I'm pregnant but don't get your hopes up as I think I'm miscarrying".This time I told my sister straight away and she doesn't think I should tell my Dad as she thinks it will worry him. Personally I think she thinks I should keep it quiet as she is the type of person who thinks it will somehow be jinxed. I don't want to think like that as it implies we have some sort of control over this, which we don't.

squizita · 28/01/2014 17:15

Foxsticks I have done something similar - sis and mum know, plus a lady who also injected in her PG for tips (she is discrete for obvious reasons)... no one else.
Oh except SIL knows thanks to DH saying to FIL that I was seeing St Mary's at short notice and him putting 2 and 2 together and phoning her (IN SPAIN) so she text congratulated me. Angry This was before I even knew if it was a baby or partial molar again!! Luckily she understood and was very kind when DH spoke to her about NO congratulations until we say so.

allisgood1 · 28/01/2014 18:18

Well done for being sick Squiz! I had a good dry heave about an hour ago. Still feel dreadful so it didn't help. I've got both dc on my own tonight so fish fingers and tv it is!

Scater, pleased your scan went well Smile

Trying to get used to this feeling dreadful in the evening thing and remind myself of this when I'm panicking all morning!!! Think I'll go for another scan Friday for reassurance.

pgchimp · 28/01/2014 18:24

the first trimester ladies are making me giggle Grin with your war stories of vomming. this thread is so good for keeping you sane. Keep reminding yourselves that youvare pregnant today!

Anyone see the article in the guardian online today about how difficult it is for pregnant women to work out what they are supposed to do. that made me giggle too! I obviously have some smiley hormones today.

kat I hope your business partner understands the consequences of invading your privacy like that and that you feel comfortable coming back to us for support under another name. I have a feeling you will need it with all that going on and I hope you have support in RL too.

MysteriousHamster · 28/01/2014 19:56

jbird - am just reading through as I am not here but hope to be one day BUT with progesterone pessaries I know from experience that they make a lot less mess if you put them up the back passage...

TeaAndANatter · 28/01/2014 20:25

Dear Kat's partner,
I can't imagine how anyone can feel the need to sink so low as to invade a thread about support after the loss of a baby to get 'evidence' to throw in someone's face. You suck.

Pixielady83 · 28/01/2014 21:02

Hi all, I'm mostly off line this week away at my mum's but just wanted to check in to say hi. Haven't had a chance to read in depth, sorry.

Welcome new ladies - all the best for your pregnancies!

kat I've missed what's gone down but it sounds pretty distressing Sad hope you're ok and can come back to us xxx

will be properly back online next week, hope everyone is ok in the meantime and christine hope baby arrives soon! Smile

startwig1982 · 28/01/2014 21:07

Hi all. I wanted to join before now but I was a bit scared to! However, having had a mc in August, I've just had my 12 week scan and everything is fine! Hurrah! Small nuchal measurement(they didn't measure it but said it was well under) and lots of jumping around. Smile

ImMarmite · 28/01/2014 21:58

Thank you all for your kind words... Consultant on Friday so hopefully he'll listen in & but me at ease till my next appointment...

1 step at a time, 1 day at a time right roll in 20 weeks

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/01/2014 00:53

Anyone else sick to death of playing the name game? Every time I get out of the house and into a bit of company, it goes on for hours! "what about x"... "or y"... "or z"?.
I know they're just showing an interest but WE DONT KNOW WHAT SHE IS GOING TO BE CALLED!
We have absolutely no idea! And no amount of suggestions help! Confused

MollyDoublyBarrely · 29/01/2014 07:01

saggy i remember it from my last pregnancy fondly. That, and when you dare suggest a name the barrage of opinions on why they "know so and so with that name and she is a complete bitch" Hmm

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 29/01/2014 07:17

Hello all, I just wanted to pop by and say hi! Lovely to see so many newbies, especially Jbrd!!!! Huge congrats, I've got everything crossed for you xxx. Come on sticky babies!!

Kat I'm not sure exactly what happened with work but I'm sorry your going through a tough time. How horrid ;( I hope you can come back soon for support from all these amazing ladies x

Leo is 8 weeks old today, can't believe it's going so quickly, 8 weeks of pregnancy totally dragged in comparison!

fod27 · 29/01/2014 08:02

Hahaaa saggy I just get funny looks from the inlaws when I make a suggestion

Ok so I've woken up and my stomach is in agony but all the pain is very high up - is this normsl?

squizita · 29/01/2014 13:21

One of the perks of being from Catholic families with rather similar/limited 'family' names is it will be easy to choose (albeit not the most exotic although I like traditional) names! :) Bet it won't stop the speculation... Patrick or Patrik, Ann or Anne, Marie or Mary? The choices are endless haha!

Not worried about lack of symptoms today. Am worried I might re-paint the playground with a tomato and mascapone soup yawn though, and nearly fell asleep in a rather big and official meeting this morning. Grin

fod27 · 29/01/2014 16:26

tea good on ya love!!!

kjh keep us updated on the physio I'm waiting for my appointment atm so would be good to know if it works xxx

kjh5 · 29/01/2014 16:39

Hi janie < waves> awwww Leo is such a cute name!

saggy on that note we just tell everyone we've chosen one already but we're not telling anyone because we're not interested in their opinions ;) tends to shut up the more interfering relatives

Dsis just found out she's having a boy! He's due 2.5months after our monkey - excited for boy cousins to grow up together but she did say yest she'll be upset if we've chosen the same name!

Fod I'm not sure how much the physio is helping tbh. Yesterday my whole lower back/abdomen was so 'locked-up' I could barely move so her manipulations helped that massively and the massage was lovely! but the SPD itself seemed worse last night, although much better today Confused anyway I'm pleased she's seeing me again next week!

fod27 · 29/01/2014 16:48

kjh I'm the same! Even changing position on the sofa is agony and work is crucifying me :(

kjh5 · 29/01/2014 18:08

It's horrible isn't it fod? Hope you get your referral quickly! I'm lucky in that work have arranged for me to work from home if things get too bad and that is really where I should be tonight - but I'm still hauling my arse in here because I feel guilty about calling in sick (even although I'd still be working - just from my sofa!) I'm my own worst enemy!

Penguinita · 29/01/2014 20:29

Welcome molly and startwig, great to see you here and congrats on your pregnancies! may they be quiet and uneventful.

foxsticks I got really confused by your post at first and thought you knew a lady who was injecting PG tips Confused !

kat your business partner is scum. Unbelievable and unprofessional and you are far better off without her.

I just wanted to reassure those of you with lack of symptoms that it is all perfectly normal, there was a post on the pregnancy board a few days ago from someone who only found out they were pregnant at 22 weeks! Being 23 weeks I can't get my head around that, even without the symptoms you would think the belly and the kicking would be a clue.

allisgood1 · 29/01/2014 21:12

I feel so bad. How can I feel this sick in the evening and then normal all day??? Eating a breadstick and praying it stays down so I can actually get to sleep. Remind me of this tomorrow when I'm freaking out about no ms...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/01/2014 21:17

Be careful what you wish for...Wink

Alb1 · 29/01/2014 22:57

Had a private scan today (9+4) cos I convinced myself for no reason that somethin must have gone wrong, an was genuinely surprised to see a perfect size little baby there with good heart beat n little arm n leg buds :-) I'm sure by tomoro evening il be all paranoid again but it's nice to have an evenings release from the crazy paranoia!

Hello to the newbies :-)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/01/2014 23:23

Thats brilliant Alb Smile
