keepitgoing · 26/02/2014 16:33

Grin Grin Grin am still in the big briefs! they are too comfy and there's not much nooky going on anyway Grin

SweetieTime · 26/02/2014 18:22

Grin Grin Grin Grin keep still in massive pants here too. I washed all my pre pregnancy knickers but keep seeking out the big apple catchers. Bloody comfy.

chocolocodowninacapulco · 28/02/2014 20:00

Hello Ladies,

I thought the thread had disappeared as I hadn't seen it for a while! Confused

So, how are you all? motor wow, not long for you now. I hope, as you say that things will happen naturally now so you can avoid the induction.

bugs I lurk on the egg buddies thread, so had seen your great news, huge congrats!

Afm, 15+2 today and still very excited! I saw the consultant on Monday and he has arranged for extra scans later on. He also says to carry on with aspirin, which the ivf clinic had got me to stop at 12 weeks. Has anyone else tested positive for glucose in their urine? It's been present twice this week so they have arranged for me to have the GTT next week. And lastly, we still haven't had sex since the bfp Blush,I have an irrational fear that it would cause bleeding and then I'd panic!Reassure me?

MotorcycleMama · 28/02/2014 23:17

Hi choco - I thought you had disappeared.. Good to hear from you! Wow - 15 weeks!! I did have to do the lucozade test, but luckily never any glucose in my wee. I'm sure it would be fine to have sex - though I'm not sure I remember what it is! Best not to get totally out of the habit, I reckon.

I managed to forget to take omeprazole today, and have had horrendous acid reflux since lunchtime. Just shows what a wonderful job it has been doing! I will not forget ever again..

Shazzamattazzerly · 02/03/2014 04:19

Hello ladies
Sorry for radio silence I'm in a recce in the West Country!

Welcome Buggerluggs and congratulations. How was your scan? I don't like baths so didn't really have one but when I started treatment I had hypnotherapy and she suggested a hot bath whilst DRing to relax me and help with the cramping that I was experiencing. Anyway the day after following that advice I found out that I was pg naturally. So not only was I massively shocked about that I then was panicking about the bath. It was all fine and I'm awake feeding my 14 week old bundle of joy Smile. I hope that as things move on you will become more relaxed. Although the mentalling seems to be normal when you have had a tough journey to get here.

Motor I'm so excited for you. Mat leave is brilliant. I'm glad you are less stressed and have some nice things plAnned. I hope you had a good time with fairy and minipang.
Keep and sweetie massive pants over here too. When ever I mention that maybe it's time to move on DP says he quite likes them and finds then much sexier than a thong Wink

Chocco so happy for you. You are almost half way. That's so brilliant. I hardly had sex during pregnancy. I was way too fearful.

Onion how is ringlet? I haven't checked Fb yet.

Afm this weekend is proving to be very useful and although we haven't seen any houses that we like we are looking at Stroud with fresh eyes. Ceara I didn't PM you about Bristol cause I thought you had enough on your plate with a new baby but I will do when I'm back on a computer. I hope everything is ok.

I can't remember who asked about pumps. I have a medela swing too. Seems fine. Pumping takes me ages. I think if be there all night if I used a manual.

Well shazlett is asleep again and getting heavy holding her with one hand while I type so back to sleep for me.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you are all ok. I'll check Fb next feed!

OnionRing · 02/03/2014 07:54

Great stuff choco, one day at a time. I always scored ok for glucose do don't know much about the GTT and score low for sex as well. Having had several bleeds in pregnancies and then been told not to have sex it made me far too paranoid. Also I felt extremely unsexy throughout, really tired, bloated and anxious. I say this as a lot of the time you hear people saying how fabulously sexy and attractive pregnancy made them feel so I'm merely providing the miserable alternative!

buggerlugs how did Friday go?

Motor, I hope you're enjoying mat leave and are free from thongs. It took me months to ditch the granny pants. I now view them as something to look forward to in old age. I hate thongs though, I don't know how people can wear them.

shazz good to hear from you. Stroud looks very you. We decided on a general area we wanted to live in first and then started noting what was coming up for sale. I can't wait to see the things you eventually view. I'm sooooo nosey!

Ringlet is fine. Sleep training at bedtime is going well, now we move on to sleep training after her night feed. I'm going to stick to her routine today as DH arsed it all up yesterday and we had an unsettled night. I've just been thinking what to get her for her 1st birthday though, she nearly took a step unsupported yesterday and she waves and says 'hiya' when she sees me. Babydom is fast disappearing. (Oh, apart from the terrible sleeping and endless bottles of milk!)

Shazzamattazzerly · 04/03/2014 22:29

Ah onion even I'm nostalgic for Ringlet's baby days. I remember when she was born. A whole year had passed? Goodness me ! This time last year I was on my 4th day of down regging. I'm glad bedtimes are easier for both of you.

Hope everyone else is ok. Motor any news?Wink

Gin , I've bought a manduca. I really wanted something for the weekend. I got it from amazon. It arrived on Saturday and so far I love it. So does shazlett. DP hasn't tried it yet but it looks like it would be just fine for him.

I'm sulking a little bit in the bedroom with shazlett while DP watches tv in the lounge. We had a lovely, positive weekend. A nice mix of wandering around town and a long country walk showing DP how quickly we could get to the woods. We came back feeling really excited and good. Then today DP had breakfast with 2 friends he called me mid morning in a quandary and feeling unsure about moving. Especially moving so close to my parents. Turns out that these friends said that they didn't know how he could consider moving so close to inlaws and they would never do that. Also they don't want him to leave London. So our lovely weekend is all forgotten I'm fed up hence the bedroom sulking.

I'm actually also really tired so I'm going to go to sleep now anyway

Night all. X

OnionRing · 05/03/2014 21:35

Gah shazza that is really not helpful. I need to sleep now too but I'm really annoyed about his friends.

OnionRing · 05/03/2014 21:36

But in essence you don't have the same life once you are a parent. Or if you do then there's something wrong!

MotorcycleMama · 06/03/2014 08:17

Ooh shaz it's exciting to be the one to get the "ANY NEWS?" Grin
I guess you are considering major life changes, so it is natural (if annoying) for DP and you to vacillate in the process. You'll come up with the right plan between you I'm sure. Are you still on for the Lazy Daisy training?

It is lovely to hear about ringlet's progress towards walking and talking onion and that the sleep training is going well.

As for me I'm just playing the waiting game, and having episodes which look like the possible start of things, only to die down to nothing. Got a dental hygienist appt and a hair appt today. Had the bf session at the NCT class yesterday which was good and informative and not at all dogmatic which I was pleased about. TENS machine and car seat were delivered yesterday, so now just waiting for the pram/buggy to arrive. Stretch and sweeps booked for Tues and Thurs next week.

OnionRing · 06/03/2014 09:54

Ooh motor, can I start doing ANY NEWS?! Very good to get your hair and teeth seen to now.

Shaz, does he not see the benefits of having babysitters nearby - this will allow you to go out more than you would in London. I have a couple of friends who couldn't get why I wanted to live out here. They genuinely think living somewhere urban with a couple of arsey delis and overpriced card shops is the best thing ever and I suppose they saw my decision to escape as being critical of their choice to live there.

Shazzamattazzerly · 07/03/2014 03:21

Motor that is so exciting. I can't wait!

Onion the thing is that we don't go out much anyway. One of these friends lives in the Scottish wilderness to get away from it all for goodness sake. I really like both of them so I don't want to be mean. I know that it is an emotional wrench for him so I try to be patient but I get frustrated when the positive reasons for leaving get forgotten when talking to his friends. So it becomes 'ah I'll miss you won't it be awful' rather than 'ah I'll miss you it will be awful but this is a great move for us and you'll be able to come and visit'.

Anyway we are going back tomorrow as he has to look at studios and we are going to squeeze in a couple of house viewings. One is a bungalow. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Don't old people live in bungalows? But this one is massive with 3 bedrooms (2 of which are upstairs - not sure how this works in a bungalow) a study, 2 further reception rooms , a lean to/conservatory and a third of an acre garden. All for the princely sum of £250k! So in the interest of discovering what we can buy with our money looking at a variety of house styles and ages, we are giving it a go.

I'm currently sat up expressing. It's not much fun. I'm having toast to make up for it Smile. I'm on a mission to fatten up shazlett after finding that she has dropped a percentile. I'm currently expressing from the boob that she just fed from to see if there is anything left. There is a tiny bit but she did fall asleep after 7 mins and cause it's the middle of the night I didn't want to wake her up totally. Yesterday I fed her from both boobs at every meal. I don't usually do this and am now wondering if I have been under feeding her. I'm going to keep doing this for a few days and see how we get on. Interestingly DP have her a bottle of ebm as her last feed and I find that she never sleeps as long when her bedtime feed is a bottle. She only did 3.5 hours tonight instead of her usual 6-7.

I hope everyone is ok out there. We are quieter on here now and more active on Fb.

OnionRing · 07/03/2014 16:17

shazza, absolutely! It's not like there's not trains etc.

There is a bungalow with upstairs bedrooms behind my house. It seems to mean there's a bathroom and bedroom downstairs as well as the upstairs rooms. A little strange perhaps but yes would suit older people who could live on the ground floor and have the upstairs rooms as spares. Really exciting to look at what the potentials are.

I'd be v tempted to stop the expressing and instead keep giving her both barrels, even if means disturbing her a bit in the night. You do realise it's bloody great she can sleep for 6 hours at her age! She certain isn't that hungry!

Motor ANY NEWS?!

Shazzamattazzerly · 07/03/2014 20:14

Well the news today is that the bungalow was bloody brilliant. Talk about the wild card. We are sat here drawing plans of how we are going to redesign the interior space and open out the back to be an open plan kitchen diner that goes out onto the enormous garden. Smile Third of an acre plot. Masses of potential. There was also a double garage for a studio for DP.

I've been feeding shazlett from both boobs today and she has taken them both. Looks like I've been under feeding her and she hasnt complained. I think you are right onion I'll see how this goes and weigh her next week at the milk spot.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I'm going to spend mine googling pictures of 1930s bungalow renovations!

OnionRing · 08/03/2014 08:21

shazza sounds great! Send me a link if you can. Brilliant to have a studio on site too.

motor ANY NEWS?!

keepitgoing · 08/03/2014 11:54

keepitgoing · 08/03/2014 11:56

keepitgoing · 08/03/2014 12:03

my ec anniversary today Smile

MotorcycleMama · 08/03/2014 14:37

Grin No news from me, sorry! 39 weeks on Monday, membrane sweep Tues and Thurs. If still no news, induction Mon 17th, so will be in hospital having it forced out of me!

Happy EC anniversary keep - great reminder of your success.

The bungalow sounds great shaz! Is DP back into the idea of moving now?

keepitgoing · 09/03/2014 12:40

motor remind me if you know boy or girl? do you have names sorted?
hope it gets started before Monday. are you doing all the usual?...

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 12:51

Hi keep shaz & all!!!

just popping on to say hello! 26 weeks and all good just now. We are having a surprise (only I know!!) and telling people we have not found out as OH does not want to know.
I wonder if he will last to the end without asking me though Grin?

keepitgoing · 10/03/2014 12:05

foody I can't believe only you know!!! how can your dh not cave and how can you not let it slip?? congratulations on 26 weeks that's brill. how are you feeling? bet you have a gorgeous bump Envy

motor.....

so we ate going back to the uk tonight after a lovely holiday in the sun. though kip has been waking up lots at night I'm hoping this is heat jet lag other disturbance rather than the dreaded 4 month sleep regression, as just before we left she was doing great.

Shazzamattazzerly · 11/03/2014 06:40

Hello ladies

Keep hope you had a good holiday. I must say you looked amazing in the pictures. We are also approaching 4 months fingers crossed Shazlett is still sleeping ok.

Motor good luck with your sweep today. I didn't feel a thing when I had mine and it luck started the contractions that had been going all week so hopefully it will work for you.

Foody lovely to hear from you. 26 weeks is fantastic congratulations. Time flies. I can't believe that you are able to keep such a huge secret. I'm very excited for you. I can't remember where you live ?

We have a mortgage in principal now and I'm going to put an offer in today. I'm so nervous! Then we will have to put this on the market. I don't know how I'm going to get this place clean and ready for viewings with a baby in tow. Onion and keep I'll get the link from rightmove. It is VERY weird as it is. The current owners have lots of black everywhere , floorboards, Venetian blinds, bedspreads, bathroom tiles along with a vast collection of animal pelts and lots of china leopards! But if you can see past all that and imagine sanding the floor, painting the walls and doors white, putting up some cool art and having nice modern furniture it could look great. And that's before we start the Grand Designsesque extension for a kitchen diner family room with bifold doors onto a new deck. Don't know where the money is going to come for that yet but it's very exciting! DP is on board with moving. He was before it's just that he is very tied to being in London which I understand. I'm scared to leave as well but there is life outside of London. And we are hoping that once we make the break we will feel relieved.

Hope everyone else is ok and happy.

OnionRing · 11/03/2014 10:06

Woohoo shazza - can you offer before you have an offer on yours though, we had to have accepted an offer before we could make one? Is it a London thing? Can't wait to see it. Love the sound of the deck and I bet you and DP will make it all look very cool. (Start a thread on FB about it.)

This time next year you will be commencing gardening for the year! I've just cut back my herbs, lopped a load of trees, started planting pots for the balcony. It's extremely good for your mental health.

MotorcycleMama · 11/03/2014 10:56

Great news shazza! Having a whole new start is so exciting, and I'm sure getting away from London will do you all the world of good (sorry, self-confessed Londonphobe here!)

onion I am very impressed with your gardening endeavours. I have time on my hands at the moment, and simply can't be arsed. I suppose I might manage to cut the herbs back today though.

Good to hear from you foodie - 26 weeks! I'm not sure I could bear being the only one to know the sex - interesting to see if you and DH can keep it up. Really glad to hear all is well

As for me, I just had a sweep, apart from that I didn't as mw was unable due to posterior position of cervix. She did have quite a rummage though Confused so I hope it did some good. Got to have urgent liver function tests due to suspected obstetric cholestasis, but she doesn't think the risk is high, so I'm not too worried. She advised bouncing on the exercise ball and lots of walking to help get the cervix in position for next sweep appt on Thurs. I've been walking loads already - 6 1/2 miles on Sunday- and always sit on the ball rather than a chair, so not sure I can do anything more. Don't even mention sex!
